Will We Be Ready? For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t belong to darkness and night. So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. -1 Thessalonians 5:5-6 God can see the future with complete certainty. He knows it as well as we might know our past. God looks at the future, the past, and the present as one. He can see them all. Therefore, it is no reach for God to say that something will happen exactly as He predicted it would, because He lives in the supernatural realm. In my understanding of Bible prophecy, Jesus could come back at any time. I do not see any piece in the prophetic puzzle that needs to be put in place before He could come for His church. This means that Christ could come for us today. Hebrews 9:28 tells us, “He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him”. The question is, will we be ready? The Rapture will be an instantaneous event. That is why, in speaking of Christ’s return, the Bible tells us to be ready. It tells us to be alert. Be watching. Pay attention. We must be ready now. Writing about the return of Christ, Paul warned, “So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. Night is the time when people sleep and drinkers get drunk. But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation” (1 Thessalonians 5:6-8) The Bible tells Christians to wake up. Don’t be asleep in the light. That’s because a lot of us can simply lie around enjoying a prolonged nap while the rest of the world faces an imminent judgment. Yet God is saying, “You need to wake up. Be alert and live in the light. Put on the armor of faith and love.” We are living in the last days, and it will get tough at times. We had better have our spiritual weapons ready and close by. We had better realize the devil will try to trip us up and bring us down. Tragically, one of the signs of the last days is that some will fall away from the faith (see 1 Timothy 4:1). Don’t let that cause you to worry, because God will keep you if you want to be kept. He will protect you. But you have to take practical steps to be protected. So, stay close to Him. Avoid the pitfalls and the things that can drag you down, and be alert. Be awake. Be on guard. And be available to serve the Lord and share the life-changing message of the gospel with others. Jesus said, “We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work. But while I am here in the world, I am the light of the world” (John 9:4-5) Wake up from spiritual lethargy, laziness, and apathy. Wake up to the urgency of the hour. We must seize the opportunities God gives us, because they won’t be around forever.
Fun fact about Digimon World 4! It's not even a World 4 game in Japan! They slapped the world title on it in the West to sell more copies. World 4 was a movie tie-in game. That's why it was so rushed and meh.
It's fun the first couple hours . But the backtracking , the grinding and the vague quest goals are just a pain in the ass. I played it on an emulator and even with 4 times speed it's painful.
@@michelgerber5781 true. Still, back when it came out and Digimon was on fire and considering the technological state at the time it was awesome. But I see your point playing it years after may be vastly different
Let me tell you a tale about a little boy, who got a PS for birthday without a memory card, and only had 2 games. Yugioh Forbidden Memories and Digimon World 2003 (EU release, is updated and has postgame). I played it for 2 years without ever being able to save, every time I started, it was a new game. That was a pain but only looking back at it now. Back then? It was a joy! Every single time the sensation of reaching those digivolution levels, the XP, how far can I get till I'm forced to turn it off? it was exhilarating. Same for the Yugioh game but that's not really what we're here about.
@@sharpdressedgoblin Hehe yeah and fun fact, never got that memory card for PS1, I made sure I asked for one when I got a PS2. Thinking back, I was also nagging for a ton of new batteries for my GBA (things weren't rechargable yet as in the modern day). We've really come far. Plus, totally replay both the 2003 Digimon World to see what they fixed and expanded on, post game is like a little run through the regions yet again for the 4 badges and then a final big tournament in ACDC. Forbidden Memories is Yu-Gi-Oh from a time when even the official card game didn't have rules set in stone, so it plays much more like an RPG than a card game (have to figure things out, the little tricky combos, master the fusion mechanics and use of support cards, zodiac sign bonuses and more). Mastering Forbidden Memories however is a speed-run world record skill level. You need to know the code down to the secret seed generation, influence your drop chances, guarantee them sometimes even. Otherwise it plays much like Dark Souls; you fail hundreds of times by the time you finish it and each duel is a higher skill level than the last.
I still have my copy of Digimon World 4, and I can tell you that it's a massive massive grind. Level up, level up skills, unlock new Digimon, level up new Digimon and its skills. Yeah, I got tired of re-doing previous stages just to level up and work on skill levels, so I just went through the entire game with Agumon.
One thing worth noting for Next Order is that if your Digimon get de-synced from each other, the one at the lower stage will gain more stat points from each training session/battle, making it easier to get them stronger.

also, there are different ways to increase or lower your digimons lifespan, so you can resync them later. on anothe rnote, i like how he praised that the toilet was right next to the gym, when there also is a toilet INSIDE the gym XD
He said that it in the next two sentences that there's a toilet in the gym. Having a super short attention span and the audacity to be this arrogant is so pathetic.
I have a soft spot for Digimon World 4 (I was about 12 or 13 when it came out) and while I do have plenty of nostalgia for the game as I've played it on and off over the years, even with me being well aware of all the flaws the game has going against it, I still enjoy the game whenever I do go back to play more of it. Now, I primarily played it solo and only did co-op a few times, so I can't necessarily comment on how fun it is to play with friends, but I cam definitely say that it's one of those games where once things start to click for you it becomes more manageable imo. I think that if things were streamlined in some areas the game would have had a better reputation or at the very least people would've gotten some kind of enjoyment out of it. The more o think about it, the more I suspect that the game was designed as a co-op type of game first what with how the hub area is setup and the pseudo MMO structure of the game (honestly reminds me of Phantasy Star Online). The only thing i would've changed about this section of the video would've been some kind of mention to how it connects to the Digimon X Evolution movie that came out around the same time as World 4, but that's besides the point i suppose 😳 So disregarding my nostalgic bias towards Digimon World 4, very solid video!
One thing that definitely detracts from world 4 is how there isn't a whole lot telling you what's going on, but I understand that many people enjoy it when games don't tell you what to do or how to do things. Also the music claps imo
the awful tech up system is my biggest gripe with world 4 but i also enjoyed it alot(the game not the grind). used to play it with my neighbors kid when i was a kid and we beat it together and individually.
Maybe it's because it was one of the few games I could play with both my brothers growing up, but I loved 4. I keep hoping they make a newer version of it.

Love when TH-cam recommends me a gem like this. Not even a big digimon fan but you got me from the start. Subscribed after 10 minutes into the video and definitely will watch your other videos. Your voice, editing and humour are great! Just my cup of tea
I'm one of those, who adore Digimon World 2. I know it's slow, i know it's grindy, but heck, i still love the game. For some reason, i just love to sit down and grind in this game. Black Sword team was my first team as well, go DemiDevimon! (I just love virus types)
I love Digimon and I am glad to see fans rejoice. This is my favorite game on the PS1, the music, the world building and raising Digimon just made me feel responsible. I totally agree that there should've been a guide to raising the Digimon you want. I've got so many memories of this game.
I used to play the original game all the time as a kid. Started playing it again on an emulator a few months ago and I still love it. Looking up videos on it got me to discover that Re-digitilized and Next Order even existed. Picked up Next Order on the Switch and it's been great. It's got updated graphics, a new difficulty, and you can now run everywhere so you can actually get through the maps and dodge the enemies. Purposely not looking up guides on that one to try and experience some of the mystery like a did as a child with the first one.

One thing I'd like to point out about DW1, a lot of stuff was MADE to be discovered through guides, back in the day they had magazines with each section of the game, me and my brothers had close to 10 magazines just with digimon world 1 and 2 full of tutorials and guides and they took a couple of month to launch so we kept coming back after reading something and coming back to the game, I think it took a good 2.000 hours to ACTUALLY 100% de game after 2 years, it was amazing honestly, that is not something for the era of the internet
Fun fact, Centarumon's trial is NOT random. It's a take on a japanese "game" in which you have to predict where a ball will end up if you release it, and it will always take any perpendicular path available to it. In the game, for you to not be hit, all you have to do is exactly that, just take all curves available while moving forwards. The challenge is picking the first path that will let you take the most items in the way. If you're wondering where's the hint that you have to do that, the name of that particular part of the game is the name of the game in Japanese. (it's called Amida Forest, google "Japan amida game")
Digimon world 4 was the first game I ever made a real map for, and it was just that hub world, and I taped it near my TV so I could find things easier.
Digimon World 2 concept was a really great idea. If it didn't have forced grinding and slow-ass battles, it would've easily been my fav DigiWorld game due to its JRPG gameplay and interesting enough story. I'm glad someone decided to finally Retrospect ALL the Digi World games, look forward to other Digimon vids you do
If this video doesn't get demonetized again I'm definitely doing some more digimon stuff. Cause I get the feeling TH-cam doesn't like me covering anything that's perceived as "kids games" ha. Wanna do survive, story, spin offs and a digimon world 1 challenge vid.
While I enjoyed the first one I fully admit I sucked at it. I replayed monster rancher 2 as an adult and was shocked how easy it could be. that being said digimon world 2 was my favorite, find it weird that the poster has so much hate for it.
The Centarumon thing always seemed weird and difficult to me to, but it wasn't until years later that I found out it was so much more simple than I thought (ironically by going back and watching digimon frontier since I never did and wondered if it was truly as bad as the rap it got). It is actually something called a ghost leg, and that as long as you change which row you are in every time you come to a horizontal line (and you don't take to long doing so) Centarumon won't actually shoot you. Replaying it just to see if I was right had me reach an X like 5 times in a row through terrible luck, but only get shot once and picking up a few useful items along the way. I think these are much more popular in Japan so it would be a pretty obvious thing.
As a kid I found Monchromon to be easy to recruit. The reason is due to not battling any digimon, because back then I didn't have any strong ultimate digimon just champion.

Digimon World 4 is actually a tie in game for a movie that never officially released outside of japan. Digital Monster X Evolution. The actual name of the game is Digimon World X and it roughly follows the same plot as the movie, from a different perspective.
btw the maze for centaurmon isnt random at all. you have to take a turn every time you can , no matter where you start, and you will never get shot. thats the trick.
I usually don't watch any kind of retrospectives on games this long, but the first Digimon World game is a part of my childhood I cherish and always want to go back to play. I was enjoying Next Order, but always felt frustrated because I didn't want to raise two at the same time. But I plan to play it again and give it another shot when it goes on sale on Steam (I have it on PS4, but that thing has been collecting dust since I upgraded my PC so I'd rather play it on PC). The absolute praise you have for Digimon World honestly warms my heart, because I think it's truly an underrated masterpiece.
For digimon world 3 (2003) it 100% was not your emulator making it have those blue screens. It did the same on the console too. It was to prevent loading lag I believe and it was the WORST in late game.
I love the games too, especially the first and the next order game. I hope we get more like those! I got the platinum trophy on next order. Its just the best.
Ah yes. I remember. A prime example of how a series reinventing itself with every new entry proves the point of not trying to reinvent the wheel. At least for the main numbered digimon world games on consoles.
Never got the issue with the whole “meat from the ground!” Thing. They’re just eating…ground beef! For real though, love coming back to this video every so often (and sad to see it needed re-uploading). Your opinions are spot on, and I agree with pretty much all you’ve said (about the games I’ve played in the series anyway). Love your vids, keep it up man!
I'm hoping they won't demonetize it again when it hits about 30/40k. It's crazy that the video is absolutely fine upon upload but they only have a issue with it once it's doing well.

Digimon world 4 was the first Digimon game I ever tried as a kid, begged my mom for it when it was on sale years ago. It kept me away from Digimon games until cyber sleuth.
Huge fan of Digimon World 2! I loved the dungeon crawling and the grinding made it really worth getting you party up to par. I really enjoyed the story too!

The alternative version has made it much better. And playing it on my PS Vita and consuming it as a mobile game makes the game way more fun. Having save states is huge for this game and really makes it better than it was. Since usually I have long periods at work where I do nothing, the grinding helps get through that down time.
Thank you so much for making this video!!! I've been so nostalgic about the original Digimon World game lately and was really wanting to find something modern. After watching your video, I looked into the games you had, and wanted to just make a note that the newest game (Next Order) just had the Switch and PC version come out this year!!! It is not just for PS vita and ps4 anymore!
I'd definitely recommend next order it does a pretty good job of modernizing the old game. It is a little rough around the edges but it's worth putting the time into for sure
I also have a deep nostalgia and love for this game despite it frustrating me to no end. I got it for a birthday as a kid and somehow digivolved Agumon into Meramon on the first try. Unfortunately I had no memory card at the time so I had to restart. I could never get Meramon again no matter what I tried. Eventually I picked it up again in my late teens and used a guide but after spending ages digivolving into a decent monster it dies on you way too quickly which just deflates my enthusiasm to keep going. I feel like had they given you more time before the reset it would have been a much better game. Still, there is nothing quite like it (though Monster Rancher 2 comes close) and it's a staple of the PS1 experience in my mind.

In Next Order, there's always a toilet in the gym's leftside wall, even before the city upgrade. At least in the Steam version. So no need to leave the gym. (Though I still do it after basically every training to try to farm those praise/scold points)
39:00 Actually it's majorly different, Decode has 3 times the content(This is between new recruits areas, digimon's not just more digimon's to train and story progress) and changes the story adding more to it, 2 whole story arcs are added
Loved playing DW3, for the card game stuff what i did is hang around the first city and grind till i could buy 4 of the black imperaildramon cards. This also helped me get my renamon leveled up as she has the fastest path to getting imperialdramon palidin mode. Using the cards it allowed me to easily beat most of the earlier card battlers and gain better general cards live devimon. It was a nice change of pace for something to do while trying to figure out where to go also, there is an etemon card tornament in the second server thats really tough. Even with online guides its hard to figure out where to go especially if you haven't played it in a while and were griding your other 2 Digimon to be a decent level
The centaurmon puzzle is not just random, its an amidakuji puzzle , thats why its called Amida forest, its just that for someone unfamiliarazed with japanese puzzles like sudoku would seem random
Digimon World 4 literally stunted the series. I also sat in front of it for a whole month trying to make myself love it. I remember whacking a lot of Goburimons over and over again, and getting inside a dungeon where there are more Goburimons in a multitude of rooms would spawn. It felt like I was sharpening a rock into a knife, very primitive and very grindy. DM Data Squad kinda brought me back to love the series, and I'm hoping to see it on a future video.
I absolutely adored digimon story on my switch. I tried next order on my ps4 and just couldn’t get my head around it. After this video I think I might give it another try!
I remember in the first digimon game doing tons and tons of fishing so i could sell the fish for mad cash to grind the single drop card machine since it was the cheapest way to get cards and then after spending like 40 grand on cards taking them to trade them for merit points and spending all those merit points on chips. Then when I had a fresh digimon i'd train them up to rookie and then force feed them chips to get the stats I need for a specific digimon champion and then ultimate. Then I would use the fish I saved up as the sole food source for a bit since they extend the life of the digimon.
👏😍 I can totally agree with so much of your POV that I still remember learning how to read, write + practice improving my own mathematics as a child when enjoying so many parts of the first game over and over from like 20 years ago as well as most of the others when growing up and I have over 100+ hours from the PS4 game that kind of continued on the storyline from DW that is still saved on the console from my bedroom so I am feeling so very glad for this video man!
Big Digimon fan here. played all of them, and platinum the Next Order, Cyber Sleuth (both) and Survive (PS4). Just love all the games, from World, Story, Rumble Arena, Cards Games, etc... Great video!!
As someone who has played the Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth games, I've been debating on whether or not I should play Next Order. After seeing this retrospective, I think I will give it a try. I'd also like to see your opinions on the Digimon Story series.
I'm glad I found this video, it was really fun to watch! Digimon World Next Order is the first proper Digimon World game I've played, and though it's different from what I expected after playing Digimon World Dusk, I'm still enjoying it a lot!
So I gotta say the Centaurmon part is NOT random. It's an Amidakuji a Japanese game popular with children. The hint is in the name and the fact it shows you the ends first and then pans down. As long as you always turn when you come to a crossroads, Centaurmon won't shoot you. This mechanic's solution is probably lost on westerners who aren't familiar with the game.
Digimon World 4 is the first, and to date, only, Digimon game I've played. I got it as a Christmas gift as a kid when I was in my Digimon phase, and I never played the game solo, it was always a 2 player thing with me and my brother. It was difficult and slow, but more manageable with even one extra person. However, the game is... shockingly short. There's like, 4 different areas in the entire game, and that's it. I don't remember if the maps of the deeper dungeons were randomly generated or not, but I know things weren't always where they were supposed to be, like they shifted around. You only Digivolve once or twice, but it's honestly just as likely you'll finish the whole thing without ever Digivolving. It was fun because I had company, not because it was a good game. Fighting Lucemon was cool though.
Reupload or not, youtube finally got around to recommending me this video and oh man that was a fun watch. You conveyed my exact thoughts on Nx0r and made me really look forward to playing Re:Digitize Decode and your eventual digimon story video. Great stuff!
Cheers man glad you enjoyed it 🙏. Hopefully this time it will stay monetized cause I really wanna do that stories vid ha. Last time it got demonetized at about 40k so I'm hoping nothing happens when it gets there 😬. Cause I don't wanna spend a month or so on this stories vid for TH-cam to whack it again.... damn gits.
loved this video, i've been on a digimon kick for a while now and it was nice to see someone share so much fondness for digimon world 1...would love to see you do a video on digimon story cyber sleuth/hacker's memory!
Cheers really appreciate it 😊. Hopefully I'll be doing that stories video soon it's looking like TH-cam won't be demonitizing this vid again. So that means they might be okay with me doing digimon vids ha.
Sick video my boy, I love me some digimon world but ive barely played 2 and 3 replaying cyber sleuth right now but i might go back and play redigitize afterwards! Also shoutout to Etemon, the best digimon. You already know!
Here’s something I’m wondering as a long time fan of the Digimon games the story on world 2 was pretty good and had some really unique things compared to the rest of the games would anyone besides me love to see a remake of that game with a bunch of quality of life changes to just make it less Grind heavy and frustrating with dungeon randomness because I honestly believe that it could be an awesome game
@@the-grimwar that is pretty cool on honesty :) I always really liked the game and the fact that in the later stages it linked back to the first game plus the blood knights and stuff were just great additions to the story making it just have a lot of Laura the games pretty good if you could make it less grind heavy
Im playing through dw2 right now on an emulator. My own disc is too scratched to play well. Im glad the emulator lets me speed up the game. Makes the grinding go faster. If they do remake the game I would love to play it with updated graphics and they can change the story up and improve on parts and add some QOL changes. the grind is real in this game. Even with the speed up
@@nightwolf235 I couldn’t agree with you more on those points the emulator makes it much more accessible but yeah a remake would be great with those changes :) I didnt realise until I had already paid for the disk that it wouldn’t play on my consoles so even though I’m playing it via disk I’m having to run it through an emulator lol stupid ntsc disk when I’m from England

This was a super valuable video, thanks man! I’ve been feeling really nostalgic about the first Digimon World game and wanted to try one of the others in the series and this was exactly the information I needed. Would def love to see more Digimon videos by you!
Would definitely recommend the last two games they're really good. Re digitize is a bit more of the digimon world 1 experience but new order kinda does a bit more with it. I think I will be doing some more was worried this video was just gonna get demonetized again. But it hasn't yet so I should be all good to make some more.
World 4 obviously was extremely repetitive, and wasn't really a Digimon game, but it was like my childhood. I had 3 friends I'd play it with every weekend, and we'd even write stories and draw art of our characters!
For digimon world next order, something I see rarely mentioned is how broken the block command is. Blocking reduces the damage the instant the button is pressed, meaning if you time coreectly, you can basically reduce all critical damage to 0. It costs only 10 command points to use, aka it is free with the cheering digimon on and making the game massively easier.
Digimon World 2 is my most fav digimon game. The nostalgia and the way how you use cheat to change your whatever digimon with whatever skill is so fun. Digimon World 3 comes second
One thing not mentioned about DW3: you not only get the regular evolutions on your main digimons. Besides having other recruitable ones, you can actually unlock several tree lines by leveling up a specific evolution. For example, leveling agumon gets you greymon, but leveling the greymon starts getting you other evolution branches. Adding some stats also modifies this. This gave some depth to the otherwise linear team you'd get. And there was also a fusion-tech mechanic involved. Several digimons could perform a special fusion move when you swapped. As the most notable scholars sometimes say: shit was lit yo.
For Digimon World Next Order, a very useful solution I found to not getting enough stat gains from training in the gym was unlocking Seraphimon. Once you recruit Seraphimon to your town, you can buy Seraphimon’s food from the restaurant. At first glance, it may not look like it does much, but if you buy the food that increases your training gains, you can get EXTREMELY better results from training in the gym. The only caveats are that it only lasts a few times when using the training machines, meaning you have to go back and forth between the kitchen. They’re honestly super close and you can fast travel in the city anyway I believe. The second big drawback is that the food is actually quite expensive, so this method only works if you have a decent amount of money saved up
The 3DS version of REDIGITIZE actually adds quite a lot, with new post game story, an entire new Dungeon as the MT infinity, New digimon Partners, New Game + Rina and tons of QoL. I highly recommend it if you liked the basic PSP one. Your digimon World series coverage was great. I'm looking forward to see what you're cooking with the stories series of games.
You hit it on the nail for Digimon World 1. I always felt like it was the Dark Souls of Taming(Pokemon/Digimon) games. Love it and its for sure 1 of my top 5 games. I wish they would make another one true to the original feel and style of the game world. It feel achient and unknown. Liminal was such a great word you used. It felt let like the backrooms in the sense you always want to know whats on the next level to see what crazy or mysterious things are out there. Awesome video! Loved it alot!
Digimon World 2 was my fav PS1 game but damn was it slow. Once I figured out DW1 it quickly became one of my favs too. I borrowed DW2 from the video store on repeat. Then I bought it off them but the disc was warped but thankfully I had...ways... of getting a copy and darn it if I didn't own a license anyways. Now I emulate it and fast forward baby. But one thing I'm a little disappointed wasn't mentioned about DW1 was the Seadramon and Beetle Land.
I remember being angry at Digimon World 2 and 3 for not having the pet raising elements. I bailed after 4 was announced, thinking the series would never return to its roots. I may have to go back and pick up a copy of the newest games.
One thing I never hear someone reviewing Digimon World 2 is that it pretty much became the blueprint for the future Digimon Story series. It was touched on briefly comparing Digimon World 2 to Cyber Sleuth but pretty much all the Digimon Story games get their game play from Digimon World 2. 3 Digimon Teams, traveling through dungeons. Only things that really changed was: No more Digi Beetle, you can actually see the requirements for the different evolutions, if you meet the requires for multiple digivolutions you can pick which one you want and, they got rid of the level cap. So not only is their no more need to DNA Digivolve, but it makes that mechanic more like the show.
Watching this while playing the original Digimon world .. i just got my first champion Centarumon Great job on the Video man.. you got yourself a subscriber

15:03 DAMNIT i loved curling and greylords mansion!! Had no idea about all the conditions when I was younger and drove myself absolutely mad lmao. Best game ever!
DW1 is such an underrated jewel, I loved it when I was a kid (even though I never finished back then). I am still impressed by the mechanic where you don’t actually control your digimon. Contrary to you I really appreciated Next Order, for me it was a great predecessor of the original. Like you said, the music, the evolution of the city, Mameo, etc. ❤ Im surprised you didn’t mention that in Next Order, sometimes when you are defeated your digimon will automatically fuse, with an anime-like dramatic cutscene. My inner child went bonkers the 1st time it happened! Still DW1 will forever be one of my favorite games.
Just about two minutes in, and you've hit me with a Plinkett AND Alex Jones soundbite. The AJ and Dr.Cortex merge was just... *chefs kiss Target audience reached.
Battle Training gets Digimon World Next order a whole new round of gameplay fun. You can literally throw training at the gym out the window after your first go around.
I have played all the three PS1 games back in the day. The first one is my favorite, but the second one is the one that I have played the most. I also enjoyed it, but I don't think that I would revisit it today because of its grindy nature. Back then I just had too much time :P
THIS IS A RE-UPLOAD: the last upload got put on limited ads and age restricted at 56:44 there's a odd cut in this version that is removing what i believe is the offending material

Fun fact about Digimon World 4!
It's not even a World 4 game in Japan! They slapped the world title on it in the West to sell more copies. World 4 was a movie tie-in game. That's why it was so rushed and meh.
I'm honestly not surprised... really wish they treated the digimon world name either more respect back then 😂
I just love Digimon World 2003. No Digimon game since managed to capture the magic it had. Glad to see you showing some love to this gem dude.
I went through the entire game with Dorumon.
One thing worth noting for Next Order is that if your Digimon get de-synced from each other, the one at the lower stage will gain more stat points from each training session/battle, making it easier to get them stronger.
Desyncing is actually the optimal thing to do anyways

But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation”
(1 Thessalonians 5:6-8)
The Bible tells Christians to wake up. Don’t be asleep in the light. That’s because a lot of us can simply lie around enjoying a prolonged nap while the rest of the world faces an imminent judgment. Yet God is saying, “You need to wake up. Be alert and live in the light. Put on the armor of faith and love.”
We are living in the last days, and it will get tough at times.
But while I am here in the world, I am the light of the world”

Wake up from spiritual lethargy, laziness, and apathy. Wake up to the urgency of the hour. We must seize the opportunities God gives us, because they won’t be around forever.
also, there are different ways to increase or lower your digimons lifespan, so you can resync them later.

The only thing i would've changed about this section of the video would've been some kind of mention to how it connects to the Digimon X Evolution movie that came out around the same time as World 4, but that's besides the point i suppose 😳
So disregarding my nostalgic bias towards Digimon World 4, very solid video!
I love digimon world 1 so much I played it so much as a kid and I want to complete it soon
Digimon world 1 will always be my favorite game ever! It's always nice to see someone talking about so passionately. Thanks for all the efforts :)
I played digimon 4 alot, it is hard, but the moment you finally understand how to fight is like when you master parry on dark souls, the game changes
Maybe it's because it was one of the few games I could play with both my brothers growing up, but I loved 4. I keep hoping they make a newer version of it.
Glad to see fellow 4 enjoyers; it's fun even on its own, it's just different.
I grew up playing World 4 with my friends, it was so much fun. Miss those simpler times
It's a fantastic multi player game, and I played with friends for several hours at a time trying to get certain digivolvutions.
3,4 and the DS games are still ones I play the most. I will always love these games and so happy to replay them all the time
As someone who plays next order yearly, it's nice to see another fan. Great vid!
I'm due another playthrough of that now it's on steam might be a nice xmas game

Love when TH-cam recommends me a gem like this. Not even a big digimon fan but you got me from the start. Subscribed after 10 minutes into the video and definitely will watch your other videos. Your voice, editing and humour are great! Just my cup of tea
i remember how i played Digimon world 1 in to the night when i was in elementary school, this and Spyro were absolute bangers for the PS1.
I got really far into the 3rd game, then got stuck because I didn't travel to the alternate dimension to talk to the elderly couple wearing fursuits.
I'm one of those, who adore Digimon World 2. I know it's slow, i know it's grindy, but heck, i still love the game. For some reason, i just love to sit down and grind in this game. Black Sword team was my first team as well, go DemiDevimon! (I just love virus types)
I get it, it's a zone out kinda game we all have those
I love Digimon and I am glad to see fans rejoice. This is my favorite game on the PS1, the music, the world building and raising Digimon just made me feel responsible. I totally agree that there should've been a guide to raising the Digimon you want. I've got so many memories of this game.
We absolutely need a remaster trilogy of DW1 - DW3
Or remake
I used to play the original game all the time as a kid. Started playing it again on an emulator a few months ago and I still love it. Looking up videos on it got me to discover that Re-digitilized and Next Order even existed. Picked up Next Order on the Switch and it's been great. It's got updated graphics, a new difficulty, and you can now run everywhere so you can actually get through the maps and dodge the enemies. Purposely not looking up guides on that one to try and experience some of the mystery like a did as a child with the first one.
That's probably a good idea the mystery is half of the fun of the original for sure

This channel is criminally underrated
Cheers mate appreciate it 🙏
The health, defense, and brain games in the training room of Digimon World re:digitize are the same as in Centarumon labyrinth.
@@sharpdressedgoblin if you didn't know Digimon World has a randomizer mod that would be a good idea for a challenge vid
Same, I find dw2 a really good framework but there's just so much grind required and slow animations everywhere.
you perfectly captured everything beautiful about the first game. remains one of my favorite games to this day
The Centarumon thing always seemed weird and difficult to me to, but it wasn't until years later that I found out it was so much more simple than I thought (ironically by going back and watching digimon frontier since I never did and wondered if it was truly as bad as the rap it got).

Great vid, has me considering giving Next Order another shot since I keep falling off it. Looking forward to the other digimon vids in the future
Shout out to Digi-Curling from Digimon World 1. I spent so many hours with that mini-game that it sparked a real life curling interest in me.
Ha that's amazing
For digimon world 3 (2003) it 100% was not your emulator making it have those blue screens. It did the same on the console too. It was to prevent loading lag I believe and it was the WORST in late game.
4:13 Friendly reminder that you can raise Leomon in this game. Leomon wears pants. He does not remove them to use the toilet. You're welcome.
Ha that's brilliant 😂
I actually have so many great memories of dungeon grinding with 3 of my friends in Digimon W4. We had so much fun playing that game together.
Digimon world 3 is such an underrated game.

The alternative version has made it much better. And playing it on my PS Vita and consuming it as a mobile game makes the game way more fun. Having save states is huge for this game and really makes it better than it was. Since usually I have long periods at work where I do nothing, the grinding helps get through that down time.
This video made me want to play Digimon world next order for about three hours, had to stop because it was way past my bedtime.

But while I am here in the world, I am the light of the world”
(John 9:4-5)
Wake up from spiritual lethargy, laziness, and apathy. Wake up to the urgency of the hour. We must seize the opportunities God gives us, because they won’t be around forever.
I actually did a video on monster rancher 2 on my old channel my absolute favourite PS1 game

I've never even played a Digimon game but I love listening to people speaking their passion! instant subsribe
That's what I like to hear, cause I'm the same way
In Next Order, there's always a toilet in the gym's leftside wall, even before the city upgrade.
Next order has so many great nods to the first one. I’m glad you were able to change your opinion and enjoy it as much I have.
Digimon World Championship on DS is so underrated, it feels exactly like a virtual pet
They keep pooping though, it was a nightmare. As I shouted at my screen: "Megas should not have stanky booties, bad Wargreymon!"
The way you described the vibe of digimon world is so on point.
Big Digimon fan here. played all of them, and platinum the Next Order, Cyber Sleuth (both) and Survive (PS4). Just love all the games, from World, Story, Rumble Arena, Cards Games, etc... Great video!!
I never played Digimon but this was a fun watch. The editing and humor are charming
As someone who has played the Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth games, I've been debating on whether or not I should play Next Order. After seeing this retrospective, I think I will give it a try. I'd also like to see your opinions on the Digimon Story series.
Next Order is good but frustrating. I have so many hours in this game but it does tear into your soul.
I'm glad I found this video, it was really fun to watch! Digimon World Next Order is the first proper Digimon World game I've played, and though it's different from what I expected after playing Digimon World Dusk, I'm still enjoying it a lot!
Best quality of life improvement in new order, a bathroom inside of the gym. Goated.
21:20 "dreams do not exist for the stupid" realest line ive ever heard
Is the parry mechanic good?
Praying for a faithful remake to the original Digimon World, next order was close but just not it! Thanks for making this!
Sick video my boy, I love me some digimon world but ive barely played 2 and 3
replaying cyber sleuth right now but i might go back and play redigitize afterwards!
Also shoutout to Etemon, the best digimon.
You already know!
He's the king and cheers mate I really appreciate it 👍. Redigitize is definitely worth playing really captures the soul of the original.
@@sharpdressedgoblin I love that, like you I liked next order but the magic wasn't there for me. Glad to hear they got it right a second time
Here’s something I’m wondering as a long time fan of the Digimon games the story on world 2 was pretty good and had some really unique things compared to the rest of the games would anyone besides me love to see a remake of that game with a bunch of quality of life changes to just make it less Grind heavy and frustrating with dungeon randomness because I honestly believe that it could be an awesome game
I always thought DW2 would find its sweet spot as a kind of roguelike.

I remember playing 4 quite a bit with my brother but I am not sure if we had fun or if we were just grinding through it because we loved digimon
I feel like the game balance at some points is build around this mechanic, looking at you first Machinedramon...
Digimon World 2 is my most fav digimon game. The nostalgia and the way how you use cheat to change your whatever digimon with whatever skill is so fun. Digimon World 3 comes second
I grew up playing the first Digimon world, although I'm not really good at it, hearing the new version of File city theme really hits me in the feels.
Given that I'm literally making a game based on DigimonWorld, this video came into my feed at the most perfect time lol
I'll be taking notes!
Never played Digimon, don't know anything about it, but this video was excellent, so I'm subscribing. Good work.
The second big drawback is that the food is actually quite expensive, so this method only works if you have a decent amount of money saved up
Digimon world re digitize is one of my favorite games. Glad there is a fan translation
It's definitely worth it they're very fun
One thing I never hear someone reviewing Digimon World 2 is that it pretty much became the blueprint for the future Digimon Story series. It was touched on briefly comparing Digimon World 2 to Cyber Sleuth but pretty much all the Digimon Story games get their game play from Digimon World 2. 3 Digimon Teams, traveling through dungeons. Only things that really changed was: No more Digi Beetle, you can actually see the requirements for the different evolutions, if you meet the requires for multiple digivolutions you can pick which one you want and, they got rid of the level cap. So not only is their no more need to DNA Digivolve, but it makes that mechanic more like the show.
the centarmon is not random, you just need to not go back, the sign in the area before is a hint, but yes its a hard game
Watching this while playing the original Digimon world .. i just got my first champion Centarumon
Great job on the Video man.. you got yourself a subscriber
Update: Centarumon divolve into Giromon.. he sucks
Update: Giromon died T_T
Digimon world 3 is the best one by far
Love your videos, keep up the good work! I agree, the original Digimon World game is one of my favourites of all time

Im surprised you didn’t mention that in Next Order, sometimes when you are defeated your digimon will automatically fuse, with an anime-like dramatic cutscene. My inner child went bonkers the 1st time it happened!
Still DW1 will forever be one of my favorite games.
Digimon World 1 has a special place in my childhood. 3 being close behind.
Just about two minutes in, and you've hit me with a Plinkett AND Alex Jones soundbite.
The AJ and Dr.Cortex merge was just... *chefs kiss
Target audience reached.
Battle Training gets Digimon World Next order a whole new round of gameplay fun. You can literally throw training at the gym out the window after your first go around.
Didn’t grow up playing any of these but after this video I wish I had
I have played all the three PS1 games back in the day. The first one is my favorite, but the second one is the one that I have played the most. I also enjoyed it, but I don't think that I would revisit it today because of its grindy nature. Back then I just had too much time :P
small correction. In Next Order, the toilet is actually IN the Gym itself from the start. it is to the left of the screen.
