Hi David, I want to thank you for your contribution to the trying errors and learning; I can definitely feel where I am standing compared to the last two years
The first thing I thought of was the ice guide. That damn thing gave me several issues in the past. I see a lot of them up and it drains the water into the bin causing premature harvest and thin ice. Good catch
Besides the freeze time sucking I’d put my money on any hoshizaki over any other brand any day of the week. They seem to be built pretty well. Warranty is not a problem and it just works. Now cleaning it after a customer ran it for two years.. different problem..
Hi David, we have the same ice machine but it’s pretty old. We have a problem, the coil is covered with ice, I have left the machine off for one day, and then the machine looks good, but the buzzer continuously beeping. Now no other function working. Looking for guidance. Thank you
Can you please explain more why would that cause the unit to just run water continuously. Ive seen it causing a premature harvest but not just ran water continuously thanks
I've sold and installed 6 Hoshizaki machines in the last 2 years. I've had a call back on all 6 of them within 2 months of install, most with that issue of the ice hanging up. My dealer tells me that the first 2 dip switches can be flipped to increase the length of harvest. That has taken care of the issue most of the time without finding another fault. I figure if those dip switches are supposed to be flipped, they would do it from the manufacturer. Last one I did, they didn't wire the condenser fan from the factory. I'm not a big fan of the hoshizaki. Just bad luck I guess. Good eye on the cube guide!
i have the same problems with the new KM Hoshis, they set the harvest at 3 min, in a perfect world it is enough to drop all the ice, but once you have colder water than normal in the winter and the surrounding area is also colder, not all the ice drops. I had one tech support tell me turning 1 and 2 on dip switches on is just a band aid, I told him, well if you put a band aid on a wound, eventually it will heal.
I have a small water/ice machine of this brand. The ice keeps coming out. It’s like the button or something got stuck in the on position. Any ideas?? Thanks.
The ice guide moving out of position seems to be a common problem. I called factory and spoke to a tech that gave me a part number for something that may keep the Damned thing from moving. I've ordered one ,its only 30 bucks. I want to see what it will do.
@@NorCal-refrigeration I cannot endorse this part , it is still on order ,and it's holding up my other item because I wanted the order shipped complete. The machine is making ice but with an old float switch. The part number I was given is HOSSP-5349. Anyone know of it?
i was got the same issue you have even worse i got. this was a lot water flood down to ice bean and melt the ice. i have back in same day to put back where supposed to.
it doesnt take much to have those cube deflectors to move out of place on.those KML series machines .sometimes if the cubes are too big they bounce off the cube deflector and it shifts
I work with both but I greatly prefer Manitowoc especially for cleaning. I always end up with really cut up hands from the ice channels cleaning a Hoshi.
Good video Dave . You think we could still use the old style water inlet valves ?, or is the threaded body different? I think that ice cube guide moved out of place during shipping.
New mashine is under guarantee...the factory should sent a technician ti fix it for free...... clear there is a problem on it....i work in ice omatic machines....
Yeah Dave you pulled the sticker and it stung ya, It happens to the best of us obviously 🙄 Take a big pull from those chem trails then take a swim in the great pacific dumpster patch, but at least your making Ice 🤙
actually there very well could be some nasty stuff in them. considering jet engines burn tons of fuel, mixed with high volumes of air which is bound to have unknown contaminates in it, which of course also gets burnt in the process! perhaps there should be exhaust sampling done on every engine of every flight :)
Dulp!!!!it happens to the best of us. But your a REAL man to show your mistake. Great find and fix.be safe this weekend brother Dave.

Big Dave to the rescue. Keep up the great work and be safe and healthy
Tell them like I do “ you can’t expect it to last forever “ lol
Good grab! Amazing something so small could cause such a problem! That was a good tech tip! Thanks for sharing Dave! Best Regards!
Nice find, learn something new everyday 👍👍

Good vid and good fix Super Dave and yes your right , X does indeed mark the spot ... Lol ...
what reason system Hot ? no freezing mode after harvest / Hot , unit shut down
How long did the cycle take
Can you please explain more why would that cause the unit to just run water continuously. Ive seen it causing a premature harvest but not just ran water continuously thanks
Why is the machining plastic still on the machine? Is the 051720 the install date. Bin stat upside down.
That one's clean...er new! I have a Scotsman market. 222"s bringing the blues
My machine does not go on harvest mode at 9:23 on video. But instead it starts 3 beeping. Please help. thanks you
Thanks for the knowledge and yes chemtrails are real they also use similar techniques for cloud seeding and weather manipulation. Take care!

So what’s the part number. You can’t short change us like that. And what is it because this isn’t a new problem.
I’m interested Greg please follow up.

I only work with manitowoc ice machines at my job these machines look like a pain to work on lol
