Hey Brother, I really appreciate the shoutout! Statistically most will be arms length to car length...2-5 yards based on Tom Given's Students that have been in DGU, and plainclothes FBI and DEA data. I tend to practice whenever I am doing a Revolver or a .22 day, & need to do more with my carry Autos. I'll be breaking in a Stoeger STR-9c with a Gideon Omega Green Dot tomorrow, maybe I will remember to do it with the dot turned off. I also think people should prepare mentally to what I call 3-5-7-9 Rule...expect 3 bad guys, 5 yards avg distance (often starts at 3 & extends or you are backing up to 7 yards), 7 Seconds of a gun fight, & have minimum 9 rounds in gun delivering 9 accurate rounds (if legally necesarry) or 3 towards each to drive them off. I often do 2 or 3 Attacker retreat drills, my 3 CQB Draw Drills, or Sidestep and draw at 7 yards and deliver either 2x2x2 body then headshots back around or 3x3x3 FAST (I broke under 4 seconds 1st day with the full size STR-9 vids will be coming). Obviously people need to be safe and not everyone has access to what I can do but should try to train realistically. Check you your held or hidden box I will try to post some relevant links if you would allow and make public. Also, am I that loud? I feel like I am trying to be energetic to keep people's ADD attention, and I am always tired having Lupus.

@@DanTheWolfman I feel like what you see on camera with me is pretty well what you get in person lol. Of course my early videos I was more nervous and reserved but the bad dad jokes and hillbilly puns is all me all day lol

This is something I've been trying lately and I feel it's much more realistic.
This along with situational awareness is something I need to improve upon. I really enjoy your videos and learning new things.

Always a good skill to practice. Especially with those smaller pocket carry guns.

I agree, fun to practice too

Man this is so important! You know, the glock pistol is actually designed for point shooting. The sights are designed to look at over the top, not necessarily through. Try it with like a glock 19. That's the main reason for the grip angle

    • @thegundungeon

Filmed first one with STR9c today gave you a back shoutout and showed some really cool stuff. Not sure how far out that one will be.

I am almost 60. My dad taught me this in my early teens. He used the analogy that when you point your finger at an object, you are naturally on that object. Of course this is best at 20 yards and in.

This is obviously a racist drill. You have multiple black attackers with 9mm fully automatic weapons and one large easy to hit white target bringing to light that the large white target. Noting but the mulipe black minacng smaller black targets were extremely difficult to track.

REMEMBER - You are responsible for every round fired

Matt Dillon always hit everything during a draw. He missed alot with his sights. Just being funny! Good lesson tho, you should train for that scenerio.

Most people would not know how important this really is. A hip shot. From holster to firing at very close range. Now please cover a contact shot and a grapple shot.

@@thegundungeon kick ass, looking forward to it. Question, you getting into point blank shootings, what do you think about belly gun calibers? Those best at very close range performance. Ie. people scoff at the .380. Personally 3 shots from a beretta 82x at point blank range!!! With optimum barrel and bullet is devastating. course 14 chances can help a lot.

@@inkiquii I don’t think distance really changes my mindset on the round I’m going to carry. A round that does well at 7 yards will do well at 0 yards lol. But anything at point blank isn’t going to feel good
