The Feral Predator was the main antagonist of the Prey movie.
He was a member of a different Yautja species never seen before.
In appearance, the Feral Predator stands at over 7 feet in height, and has brown, black, and tan skin-tones with mottled patterns; towards the centre of his back around the spinal area, it takes on a red hue.
He has Black dreadlocks, which are noticeably thinner than those seen on Classic and Super Predators, and are also missing the small ringlets. He also has small versions of them growing from his shoulders.
He has a Biomask of an unusual design, it does not cover his mandibles, and has an animal skull attached over the front.
It has a tri-laser targeting system for aiming his weapon;
unlike most Predators, where it’s used to aim a Plasmacaster, here, it is used instead to aim his Spear Launcher.
Underneath the mask, his head structure is fairly reminiscent to that of a Super Predator, but with mandibles more like a Classic Predator. His eyes also differ to both species.
Feral Predator wears very little in the way of armour, except for around his loincloth, and he also has a pair of wrist gauntlets.
He has a large backpack located on the right-hand side instead of the left, which is used to store his medical kit, and dissolving liquid.
This Yautja is incredibly strong, and able to lift a fully-grown Grizzly Bear over his head, which can weigh over 300kg.
He is also very fast and agile, able to run faster than a Human, and can jump among trees with great speed.
Feral is shown to choose fighting up close with enemies as a preference, and is skilled with melee weapons, defeating multiple opponents at times.
He is also a powerful hand-to-hand fighter, and killed a Grizzly Bear unarmed.
He does, however, have a tendency to be overconfident, and at times does underestimate some of his prey, leading to him taking a lot of damage.
Feral arrived on a Predator scout-ship that dropped him off directly rather than using drop-pods. This ship had a design with two engine pods mounted either side of the fuselage, and could cloak itself.
Feral Predators weapons and equipment consist of:
A Biomask, with enhanced thermal vision, and heads up display.
Gauntlets with a set of Retractable Wristblades, these have a more hooked shape to them than normally seen, and on the other, a Shield for protection, which doubles as a close quarters weapon.
A Spear tip launcher, which works using a magnetic field to load and fire projectiles. It holds up to three rounds, and is aimed using the Biomasks laser sight, the Predator can use all three dots to target a specific body part each; once fired, the rounds will home in on the lasers.
A Combistick, which can be used as one or two pieces; one end has a barbed blade, and the other has a club.
A Razor Net, that’ll constrict around the prey animal, dicing them into tiny pieces; this version is thrown by hand, instead of being fired.
Cutting Tools, which, when hit against an object, will curl around and cut it; normally used to free the Predator from traps, but can double as an offensive weapon.
A mine trap, which can be set and left on the ground to deal with multiple enemies if the Predator gets overwhelmed.
Medkit for healing wounds.
Dissolving Liquid for preparing Trophies.
And Cloaking device, which is not shorted out by water. It will begin to fail if it’s hit with a weapon.
When the Feral Predator arrived to begin his first hunt on Earth, he set out to make trophies of the local wildlife.
His first kill was a Rattlesnake, which he impaled with his Wristblades, then skinned, and left on the forest-floor.
Next was a Wolf, which he studied as it chased down a Rabbit; it was a quick battle, which ended with Feral claiming it’s skull for his first trophy.
He then targeted a Grizzly Bear, it seemed to be taking control of the fight, but the Predator recovered, and finished with a blow to the side of its head.
Later, he battled and defeated some Comanche Hunters, and chased Naru through some tall grass until she got captured by Fur-trappers, and used as bait to draw the Predator into a trap.
He then battled the Fur Trappers and killed them, while Naru escaped.
He later reappeared where one of the last Fur Trappers had made a trade with Naru, his Flintlock pistol, for her medicinal flowers, which would cool his body temperature, slowing his bleeding from his missing foot.
He played dead and Feral couldn’t see him; until he stood on his leg and he cried out in pain, and he then finished him off.
Naru’s brother Taabe arrived and hit him in the head, knocking off his mask; Feral fired at him with his speargun, and Naru noticed they landed where his masks lasers were pointing.
After a gruelling fight, Taabe was eventually killed by the Predator, but before he died, he bought Naru enough time to escape.

Not gonna lie, seeing a predator fist fight a bear is something I never knew I needed to see
well it shoulder pressing a Brown bear over it's head just goes to show it's not of this world☠
In one of the books, another Predator fights a huge alligator with his bare hands during a crazy thunderstorm and it's the most metal thing ever.
It goes to show how physically strong this Yautja is. The average Yautja wouldn't of been able to do that yet this one broke a Grizzly's neck with a back hand and lifted it over his head and grizzlies can weigh 800 pounds or more.

I actually loved the way they portrayed the feral predator. Feral is just a other word for wild, and we could tell this predator was just focused on strength over being tactical. Feral predators are most likely the lowest ranked predators in their tribes.
I just got done watching this movie and I really liked it I didn't think I was going to but I did and I like the history behind it too. The French started colonizing in the United States in the 1600s so while this was taking place in 1719 makes a lot of sense this movie had a lot in it especially since she comes back to her tribe with the flintlock pistol of French colonist Raphael Adolini that reads on the left hand side Raphael Adolini 1715. There's so much more
@K D I like that but did you notice how this one he didn't have the fancy lasers and stuff to shoot people and basically had a very advanced arrow shooting system that shop metal arrows and he had to retrieve them to be able to shoot them again. All I know is I like this one way better than all the other predator movies except for the original.

Modern horses actually weren't native to the Americas before the English. Horses were brought here by the Spaniards. Native Americans beforehand relied on dogs to help haul their cargo.
Native Americans just ended up having a deep, natural connection with horses.
I believe this predator was still an un-blooded predator. He got dropped off by his “elders” to see if he he was good enough to join the crew. The reason why he looks different is because he is from another part of their home-planet, just as we have different looks and races, it would be the same thing for them.
Yeah i think you're right. An experienced Yautja would have killed everyone very fast. He took a lot of damage, got outsmarted and ran in a lot of traps and cutted his own arm off. Most of the time he used only his on strength to deal with his opponents.
And if he is not an un-blooed he is ja young blood.
I hope they will make a prey 2 because in would like to see Greyback from Pred 2 to challange Naru and take the pistol as his reward. As an Elder he could deal with her.
I liked the comic Story of the pistol more but if they tell a new cool origin Story for the pistol i'm fine with that

predators also were shown to be able to replicate human noises like billys laugh in predator 1 so the skinwalker idea u have actually makes a lot of sense

I think the predator in this movie was a juvenile on its first big hunt. That would explain why it went gradually from small predators to bigger ones as it was measuring its own strength. That would also explain why it was so overconfident against the humans and yet took so much damage from them and why it was outsmarted in the end. I do agree that there should be movies that showcase their real hunter skills but I think at least in this movie it’s justifiable that the predator loses the fight. Since in the ending it shows drawings of more predator ships I guess it would make for a sequel in which the predators get their revenge and retrieve that pistol (the predators have it in possession on Predator 2).

I think it was a ancient predator that was from the Stone Age which explains the bone armor and a unique weapon set. He also fights wolves and bears because he was used fighting different ones, he is over confident because he is an ancient. He isn’t a new predator because of his weapons. His old age is why he dies his death brought his clan and witch brought there interest in humans as hunt

This movie really makes me feel like the franchise is saved. Hyped for the sequel but I hope it's of this caliber or even higher. "The Predator" left such a bad taste in my mouth.
I personally liked “The Predator”, mostly because the nut jobs, but it was a decent movie imo. That being said, I do agree this one takes it back to it’s roots and is a much better movie overall

Bro what? I meant that bc it's been going downhill since with each entry being cornier and treating the predator as a mascot to parade around instead of an actual threat. Newer ones had little thought put into the preds while this is a breath of fresh air as it's an entirely new species with explanations on why it looks like that. Why are you guys' qualm about this movie always the protagonist being a woman when she did the same things Dutch did to defeat it? Like observe it, wear it down and take it down using brains and not muscle. It's not even a big deal yet you guys keep getting worked up over it.

The entire theme of the predator franchise is that machismo is useless against an enemy you can't see and that your ego will be your downfall. Its the reason why Dutch's team, who are all strong elite killers with grenade launchers and machine guns, all died. And why the predator, from an advanced race of spacefaring hunters, die because they underestimate their prey and are prideful.
None of them should have won if we're going by strength bc the predators are 7ft on average and can bench press a bear as a rookie. Dutch, the biggest MC of the films, even squared up to it and got his ass handed to him. The movie isn't even hiding it or trying to be deep. It's on your face obvious it's so hard to miss. Have some media literacy ffs

To be fair, this pred was super naive, inexperienced, and had a bullet in his skull. Dude took out Native hunting party, a grizzly bear handed, and a not insignificant number of fur trappers. Feral was a beast that wasn't "nerfed"
Mistakes he made at the end make sense cause he was very brain damaged and severely injured from previous fights and had only a single day to recoup

It would be great to see a predator movie where the predator wins. Maybe a human protagonist or two can survive while the predator hunts all the bad humans, but let's see a predator win and totally dominate!

I honestly loved the design of the Predator. It showed how it's mandibles actually work for catching and eating things. But I'm glad you explained how he lost his arm. I didn't understand that part.

One thing Prey showed that Predator 2 touched on is while they don’t take combat personally, they despise the idea of being captured.
City Hunter was relentless with those agents and Feral wiped out the remaining French in a way that did nothing to give him more practice
I did like that this seemed to be a relatively young hunter who was making a name for himself. I can't wait to see where this franchise goes, I'm finally excited for Predator again.

Someone not many are going to notice is that the gun she had at the end of the movie is the same model given to the black cop at the end of predator 2, which kind of means the squad pulled up to the village or the lady and killed her and took the gun as trophy
Good job. Simple explanation of mostly everything we know about this predator, no filler no fuss no muss again good job.
The predator stories we see are the ones they lose. I always assumed for each of these types of stories, there were dozens, if not hundreds of successful hunts where the pred was victorious and returned home with their trophies.
Also, losing their bio-mask weakens the Yautja. I think they need more methane in their air, something like that? At any rate, if they are without their mask, performing heavy physical tasks, and suffering terrible injury, yeah they get weaker and slower. Its likely that without the proper air in their system, they even suffer from rapid cognitive decline.

Like Vulcans when they cant control their feelings. This is also when they end up losing and dying. So maybe your on to something there.

How did the Predator cheat? A Predator would use all his weapons if it had to. On film we’ve only seen one Predator disarm itself because the person he was fighting wasn’t using a lot of weapons.

Biomask comes from the River Ghost in Predators. They absolutely killed it with this predator.
I like the design it's a unique twist on the original. I hope we see more different versions of the predators in future prey movies. I would love a Knight vs predator.

After watching Prey I have a theory that predator is blind without his biomask. That would explain the no eyes in the mask and the constant vocal "clicking" for echo location.

I love how the Predators make the hunt "Fair."
Technologically, the Predator used the same kind of weapons as the humans had, albeit a more advanced version of it. Nets, Spears, Blades, Etc.
But we know Predators have Plasma weaponry and bullet proof armor. That they didn't use that here only shows they want a Fair Hunt, and that they know Humanity is full of very skilled hunters.
So when they fight Vietnam Soldiers, the predator is armed

Count the number of injuries the feral predator receives before the final fight. This might help to explain why he’s a bit nerfed. Arnold had to fight a nearly uninjured predator in his final battle. She got to study him fighting and his tools and he was wounded and probably tired but that’s all just my opinion.
He was shot point blank in the bk of the head right before the final battle. I think it's safe to say he was dazed and confused when he shot himself in the head. He also didn't realize that she took and planted his mask where she did.
Dumb plot wise. Bad design. Bad writing.

The predator is badly injured and so weak due to multiple clash with humans, this is as far as he go...

I like the predator design in this movie. To me it seems like this is early in the stages of them using DNA of other species to change their appearance and physical attributes. Their weapons weren't as advanced as they would be almost 300 years in the future as the predators we all know and love.

I think it’s just from another part of their world in aliens vs predator it shows that they was fighting the zenos thousands of years ago and had the same look yeah it could be just movie design at the time but I like to think maybe there are different species for the predators just like their ranks

I really liked this movie. It was serious and had a lot of gore, and the Predator was a badass. However the face of the Predator just looked basic and not scary, and the way it died was pretty anticlimatic. One of the most iconic scenes from the Predator franchise was the unmasking scene from the first Predator movie. The reason it was so good was because no one has ever seen that before. The grotesque face of the Predator actually made people uncontrollable and disturbed. But as time went on and more sequels came out, we the audience just grown to accept the Predator's face. And now when a Predator reveals himself, it doesn't hold as much weight as the original did. I love how they're expanding the Predator lore, but they've completely forgotten the basics of what made the first Predator movie so iconic. They need to make a whole new Predator with a similar body design but a complete different face. They based the Predator face off of crabs and lobsters, why not take inspiration from other life forms to make his face different, more grotesque and scary looking.

The whole predator species was established to have the same looking crab face with only slightly different variations, make it too different and they'd be ret-conning on the appearance of the whole species.

@@Tbrigsby I didn't mind the face of the Super Predators, it's just what made the first Jungle Hunter Predator so creepy and ugly was it's mandibles closing in and forming a sort of X sign. And the mandibles would click like crab claws everytime. Then when the Predator roared and expanded the mouth, the mandibles didn't expand to an extreme degree. This is what made the first Predator so realistic, ugly and more frightening compared to the other Predators. Plus they didn't use any CG to make that happen and it's still the best compared to the rest because it looks the most realistic. It's tiny things like these is what made the reveal scene so iconic.

This was such a good movie. I truly feel this was the predators proving grounds. Jus like our main character she’s trying prove herself as a hunter while at the same time the predator is as well which is what his alien race calls for. The predators scenes felt awkward like he didnt have a full grasp on a lot of his equipment it wasnt true hunter instincts he was studying and learning along the way with all his encounters. When he got his arm chopped off it felt like a rookie mistake for example.
can only assume that with the arrival of other predators Naru attempted to fight them also and seeing her use of tactics against them when they eventually killed her and the tribe they took the pistol as a trophy resulting in it ending up in predator 2 set in 1997. (In the comics the pistol is given to a predator by a pirate who fought in battle with the predator)
Greyback (the elder) should be the predator in prey 2

My problem with the end fight is how his tooth was so easily plucked and used against him! There is no shot the tooth is so fragile.
I believe he was young blood. Seemed to know some intresting tactics though. Seemed pretty smart to me though for his first hunt. I believe he de cloaked cause he knew that they could see his camouflage. Also Seemed to get more aggressive after his smaller kills. Amazing movie I'm looking forward to a sequel.
@crimson It was probably the most fun for it, every animal it hunted only fought back, not showing fear nor strategy. Humans did, they not only showed emotion, whether curiosity, fear, or bravery, it was the most exciting yet dangerous hunt, not every single one the same. It might have wanted more, not stopping for long to allow it's wounds heal, just wanting to get back to the hunt.

I really liked this concept. This predator is obviously not as advanced as some of other predators we’ve seen in previous movies. It’s possible he may be an Indian version of the Yautja. The director of the movie even said that this predator might live on a completely different part of the Predator Homeworld and is maybe even a different race entirely. This would make sense and is also a good balance between a not as advanced predator going up against not as advanced humans. Which ultimately makes it just as equally as terrifying for the Indians as it was for the modern day humans going up against more modern predators. Overall was a good movie and definitely better than the 2018 one lol

After seeing the samurai and Viking design from the Predator game and seeing this movie take place in the past, it makes me hype for the era the future movies could take place. Imagine the Predator going up against a samurai or Viking. One who lives their life in a code of honor and the other who believes that death in a glorious battle is the key to Valhalla. The Predators would have a field day in those places.
Viking age Predator would be pretty sick. I could picture the Vikings imagining the Predator as some kind of troll / ogre monster that they want to slay.
Fun fact, the actor who played this predator is 6'9 feet. I would also love a predator film where the predator barely survives an encounter with a human. Why not make a story where the predator goes after a tyrannical human leader during the medieval era and his to kill his entire small army? Maybe make the plot one where a dying human asks the predator to kill the tyrannical leader as his vengeance. Idk if it would work but I think it's an interesting idea.
Your right about winning, it would be cool if we had a few movies where it won then to meet his match later down the line. Takes away allot from the Predator when a girl with an axe can defeat it.

This predator design was taken straight from the original predator artwork. The complaints are funny to me.
Honestly the most badass predator I’ve ever scene
Everything naru did during the fight was to set up for the kill. Ripping the mandible off and stabbing his eye blinded him on that side. The same side the mask was targeting. That’s why he didn’t see it’s laser pointer. Even the cut off arm was on that side. They didn’t need him, naru just beat him
For those wondering why the Predator used his bolt gun (it is not a spear, they are more like crossbow bolts) in the last scene, it knows the bolt travels straight for about 10 feet before it veers off to wherever the mask laser is. It had no idea Naru had set up a trap (although, this Predator was not savvy at avoiding or setting traps, and that last one was a little too perfect). Anyway, it’s not that it doesn’t know how the equipment works, as we see the bolt change course millimetres from Naru’s face (not bad for not being able to see very well imo). Any closer and she’d have been killed. The Predator probably thought if it misses, the bolt would just fly into the woods somewhere. Still, it had time to duck I guess… I also don’t think Naru’s pistol shot to it’s head was very significant, only grazing its head to knock the mask off. I found it interesting it cut off it’s own arm, but it was stuck to the tree and vulnerable. After nearly dying to her brother, I believe it sacrificed the arm in a split second decision. Fearing Naru was likely similarly skilled, It simply could not afford the time required to free its right arm from the tree. Overall this movie was great, even though it wasn’t perfect. Definitely comes in at #2 for me, simply because you can’t ever beat the original. Hopefully it’s enough to get more of the franchise from this director, who I think “gets it” more than the others. Maybe even a TV series, to expand the lore and see the Predator side of things.
well said. Also you can still call them the ultimate predator even if they die coming to earth because for every human that kills one, how many humans die to make that happen? If you can beat 20 dudes before going down, that doesnt make the humans the ultimate predator, it means they beat a superior opponent through attrition and / or got a lucky break. Even the best at something can lose due to luck, given enough chances.

He probably thought the mask was deactivated and likely didn’t think she’d know what she was doing with it. It’s not he didn’t know how it work it’s he didn’t know where it was and was already at a sever disadvantage.

This was a great flick .
I had a lot of issues with Feral upon my first viewing of the movie. He seemed like he was unnecessarily impulsive and brash towards the end of the movie especially when he faced up against Naru. But upon retrospect, he was extremely negligent when fighting the small game (letting the rattlesnake try to bite his armor first, and letting the wolf get in a bite) so it stands to reason he would do the same with the humans and Naru. My only issue is... why didn't Feral just use the manual mode on his spear gun? Why did he abandon all his decades of training that Yautja get on hand to hand combat on Yautja prime. If this was his first hunt on earth, he's at least a Young Blood Hunter and would have been prepared adequately for the hunt. It just seems like they made him impulsive and "feral" for no good reason, when his entire species are literally trained since birth to be strategic hunters.
I think he didn't realise his aiming helmet was pointing at him, probably thought he was taking a manual shot.
No doubt his eyesight without the helmet was terrible and he was distracted by his enormous level of injuries.
I'm torn between whether his negligence against smaller prey is a character flaw that even decades of training couldn't wean out of him, or if it's a purposeful choice on his part to level the playing field. A 300lb armed with advanced weaponry alien against a lone wolf is no contest, letting the wolf basically have the first shot makes things at least slightly more even. Also, while this predator is extremely fast and agile, it still seems to have some difficulty fighting smaller, swifter prey. It's a lot faster than humans in a dead run, but it's not as fast turning and swivelling to face an athletic human darting about around it.
I believe he's just as primitive as naru since the film did take place in 1719 our technology evolves just like them that's why we don't see plasma guns or why he underestimated humans and other animals because he simply didn't know any better
@@gpvisualz1387 He isn't though, his clan may have given him less advanced gear but he should still have been trained sufficiently on Yautja prime in order to dominate. Their technology does evolve, but their race is far more ancient than humans. It isn't like Yautja tech will evolve just because of this encounter, especially when considering that in the comics Golden Angel aka Greyback actually gets that flintlock from a pirate and Greyback is armed with a golden plasma caster. He isn't as primitive, I think they made the mistake of writing that a totally unblooded Youth was sent on Earth as his first hunt. Humans are considered the Yautja's most dangerous game next to Xenomorphs; no clan should have sent an unblooded or young blood with Feral's temperament to Earth. That's my issue, it doesn't make sense logically for a Yautja tribe to send Feral down.
This has to be the coolest predator ever. Who ever designed some of his antiquated weapons is a genius. I’m excited to see prey 2.

However if You take into account how many kills it got before it got taken down, You cant really complain either.
But this Predator was not nerfed at all, if you sum up all the damage it took and it took a Predator weapon to kill it in the end without his head armor, how is that a nerf?
Feral predator reminds me of a predator that can be compared to a tribal/barbaric type of predator. That probably explains why they gave him a weird look. The berserk predator from predators movie didn’t look the same either.

That has nothing to do with the tech. The predator simply didn’t bring the BFGs to a preindustrial planet.
In AvP there is a clip of predators using plasma cannons in ancient times whenever they were on top of the pyramid being swarmed by xenomorphs.
I thought the same thing after watching prey, that I would like to see a predator win for a change. I would love to see the elite trial of clearing out an aliens nest and killing one or more queens. The predator did not have any situational awareness that made sense to me being an ultimate hunter. I did like the different weapons in addition to the traditional weapons. I also have a problem with the final death. The mask was set at the side pointing across the bog. He had to stand in the perfect spot for it to target him. If she hid it pointing along the length of the bog that would have been more believable.
This is one of the most intriguing predators to me

Well and the fact that she ripped out his mandible and stabbed him with it was stupid... The laser aimed at his own head was also stupid - technologically unrealistic and he had no reflexes.
If I my auto targeting helm is off or disabled in jet, I don't expect my missle to still track the target....

The yautja is definitely blooded, but he exhibits behavior of a young one who may only have 2 or 3 hunts under his belt which makes him young blooded. Another reason is he killed a grizzly bear without any weaponry which doesn’t seem what a unblooded would do on their first hunt. The bio-mask has a skull molded on it and it looks very similar to the river ghost alien in predators 2010. That makes it a trophy of worthy prey from a previous hunt, otherwise the yautja wouldn’t mold it on his mask.
Totally agree that I like everything about this Predator design except the face, and that I didn't care for the ending. We need a Predator movie where the 'good guys' don't win. Having humans 'win' every time, especially a 110 pound girl, is just not realistic.
Like seriously, he killed a 1000 pound grizzly with one punch. You can’t input your cringe wokeism and make a skinny girl able to grapple with him.

Since this film takes place nearly 300 years prior to the first Predator I think it's only realistic this nerfed this version. This was an earlier thus weaker version of what is to come.
And about its design. I think what made him look weird are the eyes. It resembles a wild animal more than a human which we see in the other installments. Here it was hunting all sorts of wildlife and in the future films almost only humans
That would be true if AvP hadn’t already established that the Yautja used to set up xenomorph hunts using the ancient human natives as human sacrifice incubators for their prey
Prey 2022 I'd very much enjoyed! I honestly had a feeling it was going to be good. Never had doubts about it. Naru was a great Protagonist! It was also cool how this Yautja is young and Needs to learn while hunting Dangerous Game. My favorite was the final battle & The bear scene. I enjoyed the Film a lot, I just like The Feral Predator as well, He had the coolest kills in the Movie!

I literally wouldn't mind getting the most content out of preds as we can. a show with different hunts each ep or 2. a movie that retcons the 2018 movie and explain more about the super preds and normal ones. we haven't even got to the female preds who are apparently smarter and better hunters than the males.
I watched on this Friday with my family (5th August 2022) and i didn’t honestly expect it to be that brutal some of the death scenes were so brutal. I had to look away for some of the deaths.

I dont think he was a youngblood, I think he was overconfident and chosen the weaker weapons by himself to make it even harder for him .... A man of honor.
They need to stop unnecessarily redesigning the iconic Predator face. They don't need to fix what isn't broken? Not one of the many sequels have come close to the original predator design show in the 1987 Predator film. It's perfect.

Yeah obviously they should have different faces/features, but subtle differences as shown well at the end of "Predator 2" with a whole tribe appearing, they all had subtle differences between each other, they all seemed like individuals, yet still strongly following the original predator face design. The new redesigns are not subtle at all? And as a big fan of the predator franchise since a kid, can honesty say( in my opinion) not one of the sequels including this new film has managed to deliver a predator design that is better than the original.

The fact that it can double as a “Skinwalker” legend and in previous films the predators have been seen replicating other voices makes sense

I loved the movie except from the part that the predator was nerfed and looked really amateur and stupid only for the natives to be able to kill it. For example there is no way an apex hunter who has specialised in the deadly use of his armaments to make so tragic errors. I am talking about the target painting / dart guidance. At the final scene he aims his darts towards Naru. He has lost his helmet. SInce the darts are laser guided and the the helmet is nowhere to be found there is simply no chance for him to hit his target. There are no dots on the target. BUT he fires anyway!!!! It is like a US bomber firing missiles without having a target painted in the ground. It makes no sense. Also another thing that wasn't explained in the movie was the way that the predator made it out of the mud pit. I thought he had engaged some kind of tech to lift him out of there.
To be fair, he did get shot in the back of his head just moments before. He probably was not in the best condition to be fighting or to be using critical thinking skills.

The Phillipine American War could be an underrated setting for a Predator film as the setting not only provides soldiers, but also the Filipinos love their bladed weapons and know how to use them.
Completely CGI face looked so stupid and to think it pulled away from the budget. Some of the Ferals "outdated" technology was actually more advanced than what the predators end up using in the future. Very, very silly to make this the origin for the pistol when the rich lore from the comics has already been written. This Adolini is a joke. This movie is miles better than 2018's tho

Edit : in addition he's killing animals at first until he finally finds humans and even then his strategy is alot different than other youtjas we've seen when most rely on stealth and splitting people up this guy just tanked everyone, even fell into one of their bear traps
