They actually made domes for Aliens but Cameron couldn't be arsed using them, budget and time constraints were more important. I personally think that they look crap compared to the original Alien.

I just don't get it. Xenomorphs look like an ideal bio weapon. How in the world they have the home planet.... Oh yeah right, they are like ants.

In the Alan Dean Foster novelisation of Alien the Alien actually had eyes. It also had eyes in the original H R Giger painting. When I was a kid I swear that I thought the Alien grew bigger throughout the film, getting bigger in every scene, when in actual fact it went from chest burster to full size by the time it got Brett. In the novel the Alien sustained itself by breaking into the crew rations. I also never trusted that darn cat!

It was theorized somewhere that the Xenomorph takes genetics from its host, example the human like skull behind the forehead may be a genetic replica of its host. It was supposed to tie in with when Ash says “Kane’s Son” at least according to subtitles in the first movie when the crew were discussing how big it got.

Xenomorph-prime is the incredibly dumb name for an alien world. (At least because there are OTHER XENO MORPHS i.e. alien lifeforms). The other side of the Alien species name is their "DNA REFLEX" which make the particular Alien hatched from infested host to have some morphological features resembling the host organism (humanoid skullbones and outer teeth, bipedalism if hatched from a human, quadrapedalism, smaller size etc if hatched from dog). So, the Xenomorphs partially morphing the organism which they parasiting. But on this "xenomorf-pride" there is no enough lifeforms to hatch a population, and gorgonops-thingies gave none of their features to local Xenos. So, shitty fluff and bad writing example. Unimaginative, boring, flat.

I like the idea of them being a natural species but rolled my eyes at the invention of “Queen mothers”. Seems that writers always want to introduce bigger and bigger bad guys in their stories as if they thing their story won’t be interesting unless it’s more dangerous and has higher stakes than the story that preceded it.

The skull is from the victim's own DNA. In other words thats Caine s skull. Yes it's that scary. The clear cover is supposed to be permanent, but Cameron goofed up Geigers creation. The space jockeys skull was painted with a clear dome over it also.

The idea of Aliens being a natural evolved creature and not an artificially created to wage war seems so unlikely. I prefer the path that Prometheus/Covenant followed.

We see the xenomorph skull in all its glory with the mutant nicknamed the Raven, seen in Colonial Marines. This also implies that the skull resembles the host species, so a Runner would have a canine or bovine skull, a Predalien a yautja skull, et cetera, which has hilariously been overlooked (especially in Alien Versus Predator 2, where the Predalien is strangely fleshy like a yautja).

I think when the iner jaw comes out slowly is because it's in the script. Apparently the director thought it would be scary 🤔

the warrior design is just Cameron being lazy about continuity. He doesn't want to deal with clear domes cracking on set. that's the only reason. Another reason is that he just wants a piece of the same cake that made Giger famous by adding his own signature, hence the longer fingers etc. Kinda like how kids draws their favorite character but with added spikes and horns or just exaggerate everything in general. Or how they completely changed godzilla's look in the 1998 american version. Giger's design is cannon in my head. everything else is just director's ego.

This is why I never think of them as villains, as essentially it’s no different to when we hunt for sport; and if anything they’re better than us because they don’t kill anything unarmed or pregnant and sadly that can’t be said for us humans. The Yautja are one of my favourite species in all of cinema history because they’re just better than us and do it in such a bad-ass way.

If the necromorphs were to have a rival, i would say it would have to be a ai species with bascally deathstars for homes so the moons can't eat them or their homes, and the moons fear them

I wonder who would win against the Xenomorph and Praetomorph. They say that the Stalker is generally bigger and more aggressive than the Drone, as well as stronger and more resilient (somehow), but the Drone is more intelligent than the Praetomorph and its biomechanical exoskeleton should make it arguably more durable.

100% agree, as a Xenomorph fan the species is far better as evolution than created by some other race.

I always hated the translucent head that showed the eye sockets. It makes it seem less alien. Fortunately, because the first film was so dark, you couldn't really tell.

In the comics Zenomorphs have a longer life cycle especially when they go into hibernation

I’d be open to the idea of them being a natural species, but their forms depend on the host for the gestation phase, so I don’t think xenos on their home world would like just like the xenos we know unless it’s also inhabited by bipedal humanoids.

The skull under the dome is absolutely bizarre and terrifying. I will always say that the original xeno us the most horrifying version. It was more than simply a monster. Xenos after that, took on a much more animalistic model of creature. With the original, i always liked the idea that the reproduction process actually reconstitured the victim to some extent, restructurung them and placing them in an organic space suit. So, you had something more than a monster hunting you. You had an actual thinking, insane horror roaming the ship with all the worst human traits.

Xenomorphs are a natural species. I hate all that rubbish about the xenomorphs being created by a android as shown in Alien: Covenant. To me, that film never will be canon.

Looking at they're stupid skulls, this semi-silicon carbon base lifeform is the equivalent of an Synapsids, means these Xenomorphs ancestors are silicon-carbon based Synapsids.

I Doubt Alien Romulus will ever Talk/Introduce Xenomorph Prime. As that alone will Undo Ridley Scott Retcon of It was David All Along who made the Xenomorphs. Which it wasn't nor the Engineers the Xenomorph already Existed. They have a Homeworld hense Xenomorph Prime and it had visitors from the Engineers as to now added Predators for there ultimate Hunts/Harvests.

Everybody gets it wrong. The xenomorph skull didn´t inspire AvP. It was inspired by the AvP comics. They existed before Predator 2 already.

I’d like to see a video of how the xenomorphs make their hives secreting resin and also how they can take a human hostage and turn them into an egg just like Dallas in the deleted scene from Alien.

The first alien big chap was the scariest in my opinion due to that human skull under the dome. It felt more like it was really supposed to be as the result of being spawned by a human. I think it was Giger that actually said that there’s nothing scarier than a human being. The big chap had a sensual way of moving and that added to the creepy factor. The other xenomorphs from other films, while still cool, are more like insects. They’re missing that human element. The visible human skull is something I hope they bring back in Romulus, I think it’s the absolute best design of all xenomorph depictions

I thought i was the only one with the theory that the dome becomes the ribber head as the alien ages. My running theory was always that the aliens dome is like an amniotic sack that gets used up.

If you look at Predator 2 movie from 1990 in the ship with the Yautja you can see a Xenomorph head on the wall. So the Xenomorphs existed well before promethious. promethious and the other movie i would say they just made new types of xenos by the black goo. Also another movie, Avp and AvP requem also have xenos

All the variations of their heads are amazing, and you just know they can see somehow. I remember the first time I saw that thing tear out of Kane's chest - it then "looked around" - and for all the world, seemed to be counting the crew and making mental notes. That scared (the rest of) the crap outta me LOL
