    If possible do a video running it down the street so we can hear how good it sounds.....secondly inside the cab as well. Some of us like myself do some towing and this set up most likely would not be the right one. Sound great

    Now, I want you to trust me on this one... Swap that Borla muffler for a Thrush welded muffler. Don't let the very low price point ($40) fool you! I was hesitant also, but threw one on my 5.0, and it was absolutely perfect. No sounds of spits, backfires, or hiccups... Just pure, deep purring and growling. I would probably wet myself if someone put one on a 7.3. I would've a 7.3 to put one on, but the wife won this time and I had to get a 2021 Expedition Max w/FX4. It's peppy, but I'd rather have a huge engine that pumps out effortless power, than a mouse on crack waiting to have a heart attack.

      I since changed it. Took out the longer XR1. Now all i have is the XR1 shorty race muffler. No resonators. Louder out of cab and in. I think its just right now

      Tradition. Every v8 i own gets an exhaust in week 1. I didnt want to do headers. Headers always require retightening and have propensity to leak. The stock "manifolds" these days are alot like shortys any way and last longer IME

    For more power you should have built a true dual exhaust it also allows for equalization that minimizes drone.

    • @williamstrese4947
      @williamstrese4947 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its 3.5 in pipe with few bends im sure it’s fine, only thing that could really restrict at all is that last factory resonator but unless he had it tuned it’s gonna want some back pressure anyway.

    • @NoSmileification
      @NoSmileification 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A dual exhaust will not make more power if the Y pipe is sized correctly. A 3.5" single pipe flows more than two 3" exhaust pipes anyway, accordingly to Poiseuille's Law. Also, it's widely accepted that Y pipes produce the quietest exhaust compared to H and X pipes.

      @@NoSmileification not that I have to prove to a troll on TH-cam but with 3 decades of experience building and installing custom performance exhaust and knowing what works and what doesn’t . So with proper tubing size adequate X and proper muffler/s it will out produce any and all single exhaust configurations . Many large manufacturers have Dyno charts to prove their claims!
