I'm non binary and my gender dysphoria demands that I look androgynous, and I feel very validated by this video because I already have all this stuff.
I feel targeted as a gay who just started presenting androgynously over quarantine lmao. Raggedy is most definitely how I would define my look on any given day while trying to piece together masculine outfits from goodwill hauls and trying to hide my mangled haircut underneath beanies and baseball caps. Jade your guidance is much needed 😩

ive always been naturally very androgynous but i have a hard time accepting it. anything else like trying to be more fem or even being read as a dude both feel uncomfortable. i just really hate the extra attention; staring, people being confused, being automatically spotted as queer. How did you learn to be comfortable and confident in yourself?
it takes time, and living somewhere that’s a lil more progressive helps. you don’t think about it as much. ALSO, people will usually just think you look cool 😎

Eventually you get used to it, or just stop caring. Honestly the only advice I’ve got, but I hope you find your style!
Eventually you're going to only care about you since it's your life and no one else can live it for you. Wear what's comfortable for you and unfortunately ppl will look but by you taking up space, you give permission to others. And eventually everyone will get used to it. Also, sidenote, a lot of the straights are jealous of our freedom. Ive gotten so many compliments from older 50s, 60s women when I'm wearing "tomboy" or "edgy" looks. I have these mens boots that SO many women compliment, it was honestly shocking. Just do you.
may i ask why u hate being automatically spotted as queer? i myself have always dressed very feminine, and am trying to slowly evolve my style into more androgynous looks just because i want to but also in hopes of reading as gay. bc i always am assumed to be straight and i don’t want that anymore lmao i want people to be able to look at me for 5 seconds and say “yeah, she’s gay”

Man... my weight has fluctuated so much that it’s been hard to convince myself to invest in much of anything, clothing-wise. I’d hate to get emotionally invested in an item only to grow out of it (or have it get too big) in a few months. I miss denim jackets.
Thrifting different styles helps since it’s not too large of an investment.
Enjoy the body you have now, trust me. When I look back on the pics where I was heavier, yes I see the weight but I also see a gorgeous person trying to make themselves smaller.
I wish I celebrated my body more back then instead of hating it.
you can possibly take the larger clothing and put in temporary seams to have it fit you when your weight goes down, then take them out when it goes back up. however, this requires either knowing how to sew or having the money for a tailor.
also, big shirts can easily be styled to look good on smaller bodies by rolling up the sleeves, tucking in the shirt into pants/skirts, or using belts/hairties
LITERALLY. I finally had a perfect collection of jeans and grew out of all of them over quarantine 😓 but im trying to see it as an opportunity to revisit my style

I've been bingeing your videos, and I normally don't interact with youtube stuff, but I want to say that your positivity and humor are so inspiring to me. I have been stuck in a very "cant' be helped" mindset due to inaccessibility and lack of funds, but your videos have helped me gain confidence to dress how I want and to put some intention into my style now that my situation has changed.

I didn’t realize i was pretty androgynous before i got super hyper aware of it, this video helps a lot. I’m getting my hair cut short and I think it’s going to go right along with everything you said (and what I wear) and hopefully be everything I’ve been hoping for.
