Haha great minds think alike, I did something similar for my first ever music video that used drone footage, I added some clicks to the cue audio and clicked my fingers on the third click each time I did a take and used that to sync it all up after. No-one ever tells you about all these little problems you have to solve when you get a drone! @amoktimeflies Funnily enough I don't bother with high frame rates for slo-mo either because I like to keep everything real-time. I know music videos don't have to be but that's just my style, for now anyway at least!

(In davinci you can line the audio tracks by waveform, I wasn't sure if the dji has a microphone in it, if so you just put the audio track from the drone on one track then the audio from the external recorder on another track, then let davinci match them up, after it has done that you delete or disable the dji audio). Aha - yes DaVinci has that facility and it makes it SOOO easy when using the 32 bit float audio from the DJI Mic 2 with the Pocket 3 - just sync it up with the on board audio recording. However - drones don't record audio (not really much point - it would just be prop noise - see @windsweptrobert 's vid on that 🤣) You *can* connect a lav mic via USB C to the RC/RC2 controller to record Audio whilst you screen record, but it rarely syncs properly so you still have to go through the 'clapperboard' process unfortunately. Believe me - I've spent (to) many, very very tiresome long hours 🥱dealing with bad lipsyncing - shuffling vid and audio tracks back and forth! To the point where I've pulled uploads because I'm just not happy with it! (+ I have a weird irrational sensitivity to it according certain people). Thankyou so much - there are a couple of ways to do it. The DJI Mic2 has a noise cancellation feature so it will do that 'live'. that said I sometimes want to keep the sound of the drone in certain circumstances - like with that had catch in my latest vid. So I normally leave the noise cancellation off in the DJI Mic2 and then use Davinci Resolve to do it in the edit - it's much more controllable that way - and you can 'dial in' how much noise cancellation you want rather than it being just 'on or off'. Thanks mate - I may not be the most knowledgeable, but I try. Couple of tips - if you are looking for another lav the AGPTEK one amzn.to/4e13uwd is cheap, but actually very very good! I would thoroughly recommend it after trying the DJI one which is about 3 times the price and just terrible value!. Outdoors I generally just use the DJI mic on it's own, but indoors prefer to use the lav plugged into the dji mic and have recently taken to taping the the lav mic inside my shirt (because I'm not one of those kiddies that holds a mic up to their mouth which seems to be fashionable these days! 🤣) Best of luck!🖖
Thank you for this simple yet effective advice. What I don't get is how you manage to record audio with the drone so close without any propeller noise. Is the Mini4 that silent? Does the microphone cancel noise exceptionally well? Or both?
Aha - good question and well observed! There are a couple of ways of noise cancelling the drone - the DJI mic 2 that I use has a noise cancelling feature, but I forgot to switch that on in this vid, so I used a similar functionality in the audio processing in Davinci Resolve. Thanks for watching!
