Lovely work, mate. I've always thought the same with the pins. I've done alot of cladding and always bought stainless. I assumed the moisture in the timber was enough, but like you say, you're sealing it in.
another great job ben , ive noticed you work on your own , and seem to have a good work routine , ive just started working on my own after finishing a lad , getting paid for giving me stress lol , does it get easier ?
Looks great. What size is the larch, looks like exactly the style I want for my new fence I'm building soon. Most other videos I've watched always use Cedar. What are the pros/cons of using Larch over Cedar? Thanks
Looks lovely, very similar appearance to western red cedar
Looks great Ben, helped pass my night shift away. Look forward to your next project. 👍👍
Thank you Paul
Lovely looking job Ben, your customer must be extremely pleased how it's turned out

I prefer working by myself stress wise but if I get the option to have someone with me I sometimes do just for the company. Always a balancing act.
How do you find Osmo in general? Seems to have become a market leader but other carpenters say it’s not as good as others and too expensive.
I don't treat wood often enough to have a favourite but went for Osmo due to a painter recommendation
Is the larch kiln dried or air dried ?
Siberian or uk grown ? Looks Siberian as very few knots
Kiln dried siberian. Thanks for watching mate 👍

The larch was 50mm x 25mm. Cider silvers a lot better if your going for that look. Larch is a bit cheaper and stays orange with the UV protection.
@@BuiltByBen-YT Cheaper sounds good, and I will be using the osmo too as I prefer the more yellowy orange colour it already has. Thanks bud
No worries. Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. 😉
