I have just made this and had it for lunch. This tasted so wonderful. My kitchen smelt of Spain…..I felt like I was in Spain when cooking this as the weather is so hot here in the UK. I must admit…..I used easy cook rice,bag of prawns,vegetable stock cubes and garlic purée. Threw everything into a pan and cooked the garlic ,spices,rice and prawns in the oil for a few minutes and I only used half the amount of oil . It still came out very tasty….so thank-you again for such a wonderful meal.
My wife made this for lunch today and it was excellent. We didn't have fresh cayenne peppers so she used organic cayenne powder. Do not be put off by what appears to be a ton of garlic. It added flavor but was in no way overpowering. Thanks for including a link for the recipe which saved me from watching the video multiple times to get the ingredients and instructions.
Wow! I will make this dish soon. Last month I learned about how Italians cook garlic. Slice it lengthways and remove the inner layer. This takes away the strong taste. I'm not taking it out of mine...;)
I was in the mood for shrimp and made this recipe today. This was the first of your recipes I have made. It was easy to make and taste amazing. I ordered the Spanish smoked paprika because I can’t get it locally. Really good and simple to make one skillet recipe. I’m watching all your videos. I watch several each day. Love love love to cook.
This looks delicious!! I have all those ingredients so tomorrow is the day I do it. I'm also a huge fan of garlic so a whole head of it sounds great to me. After watching all your videos I have also become a huge lover of smoked paprika and other paprikas. I've always used it but only occasionally, now I'm using it constantly, how could I not know the greatness of that one ingredient. You have taught me well.
This was so good! All I had was Arborio rice so I was concerned about the liquid and the time. No problem! I did double the peas. The garlic and heat from the chili's was perfect! 5 stars.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

5:36 if I use CANNED peas (because of availability) instead of FROZEN ones, should I still add them before simmering? will the canned peas get overcooked?

Alberto do you wash this type of rice first as with basmati? Going to have to find out how to "easily" de-vein on TH-cam 😁
In Spain we don´t wash rice before it´s cooked, unless it is basmati, as it removes the starch which is needed to give the rice more body :) much love

I have never cooked with Round rice. I noticed that you did not put a lid during the cooking time on the pan as you cooked the rice.
