Are certain areas of the sac calmer than others? Fished out of discovery park and the current was sending my 4oz pyramid way down the river. Could not keep my bait on the bottom at all.
Yeah cast like 10-20 ft in front of you. They’ll come up shallow and eat. I was at Broderick and stupid dude to the left of me cast into middle of river which washed his line back to shore and crossed mine. I got a bite and the fish ran into his line making him thinking he caught the fish. He was trying to take my fish, but I told him no cause the fish was on my line my hook.
yes, been through parts of sac river on boat and there are areas where its super calm and some areas treacherous. Also tried 12 oz coin sinker on the bank and current sent it back to the bank....gotta find calmer areas.
Nice catches🎣🎣🎣
Great video! I'm surprised you didn't keep your limit. I love eating Stripers. In my opinion it's probably one of the best eating fish from the river.
Used to catch some nice stripers on the American using a live baby squawfish. The shad run is a lot of fun too
Good fishing day🎣👍💪
Besides them boats going back and forth, that looks like a good spot.
Nice video!
Use those squaw as bait whole. The only bites you get are the ones that can eat something that big 👍🏼
Thanks for sharing, so which bait they took first? worm or herring?
Where did you purchase your alarm for Carp fishing and which brand is it
hey what rod and reel combo do you use? by the way cool video very informative! thanks
👍
Where is this. This is the best looking spot ive ever seen haha
looks like high water levels at any of the Miller Park, Garcia Bend, etc...

cast closer to the bank. If the water is that strong, it's probably not holding many fish either, as they'll be having to fight the current too.

The sea lions like to hangout in that area to eat up all the salmon too
What area was this?
