Great video. We're hamming them up by Los molinos as well. Seeing that using a fish finder is a must have in finding the big groups I'm going to have to get one now
I noticed Raith is trolling upstream in this video. I remember he used to say troll downstream to cover more water. I'm guessing he does this when he finds pockets of fish on his graph. He is definitely the master of catching river stripers!
Wow she’s a dime . If she ever comes to East Texas she can get on boat with me and catch crappie . Wowzers that’s the best looking deckhand I’ve ever seen
Because depth and current is always changing there isn't one speed that is correct. Raith is looking for the correct action on the lure for that particular type of lure. Line angle, rod tip action and the fish will tell you what is going on. Experience and time on the water.
Fishes are hitting early morning incoming tide or Peak high going out. Tons of nice mid/upper 20s-30s off pile or blood worms. Lovely and beyond excellent striper fishing this year. Surprisingly the stripers are hanging out alot longer than the other years. Possibly through July which will be very very interesting.
true but the salmon and striper population both used too thrive at the same time. No water has killed the salmon down there and a fraction of hatchery production
As a Native Steelhead fisherman since I was 9 years old...51 years ago... Catch as many of them SMOLT eating machines and get them out of the river system! Cull every Squawfish you come across support a bill for a bounty on Squawfish and remove ANY size limit to the Striped bass population! Don't whine about it either...it's not like it's going to hurt the Striper population... But not doing anything is surely hurting our NATIVE CALIFORNIAN SALMONIDS... I noticed your lures are the size of a migrating SMOLT Salmon/ Steelhead... Just saying... Striper will be fine.... don't whine...act
Raith finely got a descent deck hand
Sarah knows how to work that Rod. Awesome fishing guys 👍👍👍👍
Good to see Raith again. I haven’t run into him or his brother in decades. Terra Buena boys still killin it out on the Sac!
Recently met raith at the feather river rapids awesome dude looking forward to doing some fishing with him in the future
Great video, awesome fishing,
Justin, another great video, thank you and Raif

Tuning in from yuba city, great video! I need to catch some fish like that lol
Raith is one of Californias best Fisherman’s 🎣😎

The camera work is excellent!

High water. Down hill troll is probably to fast.
Downstream more casting worms & swimbaits.
Such a fun time!

They are fun to catch !
Nice episode. Curious...what camera and mic setup are you using?
So you're running straight braid to the plug
Just wondering normally how fast should you troll?

Sarah Becker is fine! ❤
Is this by Wimpy’s Marina
Looks fun
I didnt see any fish caught🤔
Good 😊
Looks like a yuba city girl from here ..
Where at in colusa were you? I’m tryna catch some nice ones
Downtown Colusa
You can see the bridge downstream and the water towers upstream, next to Kittle's. They're smack in downtown just on the south side of the river.
A little scent goes a long way. Even do this on the fly when they chase but do not commit.
If your down this way stop by, but I know you are busy with business, so understand. Say high to significant other.
For sure Dave. I should be down fairly soon.
Raith could catch striper in a corn field
the goods
Nice! What type of worms are those?
Zoom. It's in the video. P-Line has Striper Tails that are good also.
Or, replace those hooks with higher quality hooks, and you’ll never have to keep rebending them
Have some free swimbaits if you would like to try a few.
Better to release them.
I would easily catch the first fish the most fish biggest fish and the do it in the fastest time
Too much technology. Try fishing for striper from the bank, it’s harder and more rewarding
Are you volunteering to show us how it's done
Amen
Yep we do it in Broderick

I grew up in Colusa and fished that bank up and down for years. Having done both, a boat is the way to go for targeting fish.
Striper are an exotic species on the Sac and are harmful to native salmon and steelhead. Catch and kill should be the policy.
Nah
true but the salmon and striper population both used too thrive at the same time. No water has killed the salmon down there and a fraction of hatchery production
Stripers have coexisted with the salmon and steelhead since the late 1800's. It's ALL about the water!
Know the history of the system. They thrived before water diversions
@@07wise yup
All I see in this video beside bs fishing is the power of femininity.

Thrived together since 1849, yet now they’re the problem? Right…Stripers also eat squawfish and everything will eat a salmon
Damn girl!
