Fly Fishing an AMAZING River for Trout! (Brook, Rainbow, and Brown Trout)

- I recently went fly fishing for brook trout, brown trout, and rainbow trout with a new camera I wanted to test out! Let me know what you think about the new camera in the comments below!
In this video I went fly fishing even though I wasn't feeling well. I just had to get out of the house and I figured what better place to go than to the river! The water temperatures were sitting at 58 degrees and the fish were happy, however I had a TOUGH day on the water. It was partially because I was sick, but the fish were also not totally cooperating with me. Between losing fish and getting stuck, I got frustrated at times. Luckily though I was able to Catch a few fish and ended up putting a video together... I also somehow managed to catch 3 species of trout which was a pleasant surprise.

I think the 360 degree camera helps a new fisherman watch your movements when you cast so they have a better idea of what to do when they are in the river. Good video man 🤟

I like the new camera. Personally, I prefer the other view because I really like watching your line management and hooksets. It’s all good stuff though. That first brown was a tank! Thank you for sharing and I hope you feel better soon.

Liking the fish eye lens! Gives a better view of “the stuff” and where it’s located in the river. Could be a useful learning tool for you and your viewers! I’ve made many mistakes that I wish I could have seen from that angle to figure out where/what I did wrong. Hope you continue to use it and am always looking forward to the next video.

I really enjoy the new angle, I often wish to see the scenery around you when fishing and the wider FOV helps with that, It also shows the obstacles in the water better so we can see what items you get frustrated with,.

@hardmanfishing me too. But that was the only time I've fished that hole in the 15 years I've been going down. Your videos encouraged me to pick up the fly rod. I've got alot of learning to do. Going good so far.

new sub. here! I have really been interested in fly fishing and hope to get my first set up soon when I get the extra cash. 360 cam is a neat angle, would be cool if you can just sync the audio from your other camera and use the audio from it and the video from the 360 for some shots. Nice job, can't wait to try it out tho!

I do like the 360 camera angle. As one commenter said gives a good perspective on how you make your cast. Just have to watch where the "seam" is where the camera blends the video together. Another lens to keep the splashes off of. At times it almost looked like a video game. That said an entire video may be a bit much but segments like you did are perfect. Get well soon.

I hope you feel better! The 360 camera is a cool view, but can be a little disorienting. I agree with the other comment that it could help beginner anglers see how you position yourself on the creek

That camera looks like it would catch good casting shots when you have some room to huck massive casts.
That’s honestly why I bought it! Could make for a really sick angle in the right scenario

I liked the new camera angle but I enjoy the regular angle to, I like the nice mix you used with the angles and only using the 360 sometimes. I enjoyed the video!!! Btw what knots do you tie when you build your streamer leaders? Blood or surgeons or?

So i just got into euro nymphing and the angle is super helpful to help me learn, it is harder to understand you tho. Maybe you can tweek it a hair. Just realized you have the exact same setup as me. Courtland mkII with a hydros full cage. I have fished mine a few times and am really enjoying it. How do you like the rod?

It's an insta360 camera! It's just mounted on a stick... idk how else to describe it. Kind of wild technology

You've shown us another great river and it's fish. A water temperature of 15C°s I never knew that it got that hot. Don't know why you're so anti stocked fish though. Although it's obviously a good camera I don't really like those very wide angled shots, there's far too much distortion in them, sorry. See that you got a new net in the end, the old one was getting a bit tatty.
What set up does he have, line and all? My fly Rod and line cannot just straight cast out like that I’d have to do the whole back and forth back and forth ordeal to get it out there

Where did you get your euro nymphing rod?
This is a Cortland rod, I just ordered it from their website as a backup rod but I actually really like it
