But by asking these questions and by bringing in right people (like Dushyant Sridhar) to clarify these, Pesu Tamizha Pesu is providing a platform to dispel bias and prejudice that is in our tamil society. takes good students to ask intelligent questions. interviewing the likes of rangarajan narasimhan, d.sridhar etc is more for the channels variety considering the current trends. they have no real intn to really learn, only to sort of test te waters and move on to next sensation. none of them are gonna go back and read the books coz that takes time. for now they're ok with trying to dig out some comment that can be turned to an issue
Interviewers must be appreciated for their Knowledge to interview a person of Sri Dushyantjis Knowledge. My sincere appreciation to both the interviewers
Fascinating discussion. Questions like JEE entrance exam. We can get a sense of how hurt the shudra varnam is. We as brahmins need to produce correct answers to these. Sri. Dushyant Sridhar did an excellent job. I don't think even for a minute that the authors of dharma sastras could have discriminated against a varna. Unfortunately there exist translations of these sastras only in English by foreigners and there in lies the problem. This is one channel where such heavy and emotionally charged topics are discussed with such civility. Kudos to all participants and organizers.

The difference is - neither Shruti (scripture) nor Smriti (rules ) are binding , in India. Valmiki, Vyasa were shudras (if you go by birth - but birth is not the basis - only guna (charatcter) & karma (profession) were to be the basis). They knew Vedas and no metal was poured into their ears. We look at everything thro Abrahamic lens. For them Bible & Quran are binding so we are told by them that our books are binding. Firstly lot of mischief was done by translators who created verses which never existed in the original. Bible & Quran approved slavery including sex slave keeping. This was also practised by their societies. No one talks about that.
Samskrit is an Indian language while English is a foreign language. It is not silly that we fight among ourselves regarding our language and accept English language. The irony is that I am writing in English because I cannot write in tamil very well but can understand Tamil very well as I am a proud tamilian. I was born and brought up in North. However I can read Tamil. I can read , speak and write in samskrit as well.

மிகவும் சரியாகச் சொன்னீர்கள். இவர்களால்அவர் அளவுக்கு கற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியாது . ஏன் கற்றுக்கொள்ள கூடாது என்று கேட்பதை விடுத்து கற்றுக்கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணம் இருந்தால் போதும் . இவர்களுக்கு வெறும் பொறாமை மட்டுமே உள்ளது . அது தான் எங்கு போனாலும் என்ன பேசினாலும் சூத்திரன் என்ற வார்த்தையை விடுவதே இல்லை .

Negatives influence very much. The materials we read and understand should give complete details to the reader. If he understands the neg. side he will follow that not realising and understanding the positive side. இவர்கள் பேட்டி காண்பவர்கள் அல்ல.சூத்ரன் என்பதைப் பற்றியே சுற்றி சுற்றி வருகிறார்கள் .கருணாநிதி எந்த அளவுக்கு தமிழ் குடிமகன்கள் மனதில் வர்ண விஷத்தை விதைத்திருக்கிறார் புரிகிறது. இதையே கேட்கும் இவர்கள் எதையும் கற்றுக் கொள்ளப போவதில்லை சூத்ரன் என்ற வார்த்தை தவிர. இவர் இருவரும் சூத்ரன் என்று 1000 முறை கேட்டு எங்கள் காது புளித்து விட்டது.
