yeah... this is great. Voice is killer. Banjo is tight, tickles right, and shreds. Honestly, probably the most impressive performance of this song I've ever heard and I've heard it a hundred times.

it's always difficult to listen to such a sad song when it's performed so well and with such emotion--i listen compulsively while feeling quite sad indeed. the setting adds to the mood; there's something so lonesome about the railroad tracks. it naturally cultivates the wanderlust in me, and i'm reminded of dear old stobe the hobo. maybe old stobie rode by this very spot on the back of a canadian national loaded with grain? you never know.

I love how banjos can bring cheer in sad songs.. Still -30F here. Playing for a Contra Dance tomorrow in town. Suppose to be -40F. I recently turn 70. Hope our banjo picker can make it to the dance to keep us smiling. Thank you for the tunes.

I think the temps in town today may be closer to -50F the band decided they didn't want to risk the dangers of driving, breaking down, freezing etc. I really like playing for dances or anytime but I'm 70 now and my car is old. 2009 old. Better to stay home today and pick another day. 🤥

I’m trying my best haha. I’m doing it at home and I’ve never done anything like it before. I kind of underestimated how much it would take it make it, so I’m taking my time with it, and trying not to get discouraged. I definitely don’t want to sacrifice quality, so if it takes me a bit longer to work up to it, a finished product I’m proud of is more important!☺️

I agree with what you say here. Please don't get discouraged. The completed album must be something you are happy with and i'm certain when finished will be very fine. Take your time. We will wait! But in the meantime keep us happy with your tunes here.
