    You're a real dude. You're videos are so easy to watch. No drama. No cursing every other word. No annoying music. You're thorough and kind. I watch all the ads cuz I want this content to keep on going. Keep it up 🤘🤘🤘🤘
    Edit: I agree with some other commentors that you should have some better lighting on some videos. Like the Tesla interior wrap could have used it. I'm a total noob for wrapping, so I'm not critiquing, just giving an opinion.

    I had the same exact issue when wrapping the hideous OEM wood trim on my ‘17 GMC Denali with Vvivid’s mahogany. The one piece I could not remove had the gear shifter & drive mode select knob on it. I created a template of the entire trim piece with 2 layers of painter’s tape, cutting out the exact shape of the trim + 1/2” and of all “Holes” if you will that I would need to cut out in the vinyl then stuck the tape onto 2 pieces of photo paper stuck together to get the proper length, traced & cut out the tape template onto the photo paper, the, to the vinyl wrap itself, this way when it came time to wrap that piece the vinyl was precut & slid right over the gear shifter & drive mode select knob. Yes, a lot of extra work on the pre install, but worth it when it came time to wrap that piece.

    G'day Christian love your content, total mastery! One suggestion on videos like this would be a neutral cover on your white table, it'll reduce the contrast and the camera will show up the dark details much better, without having to add more lights.
    Best I've found is a medium grey or blue, tablecloth or large sheet of art paper.
    Hope that helps man, cheers from Australia.

    Always a good idea to wipe down those plastic pieces even if they are brand new because I am pretty sure they use a release agent so they will pop out of the cast at the factory after that hot plastic as been shot into the mold.

    Excellent video for when I decide to start some interior work on my 2011 Genesis project. Great to have met you today Christian, almost felts as if I was meeting a celebrity after watching a number of your videos. As shared this afternoon I am extremely thankful for your videos, sharing the knowledge of your craft and attention to detail. Im a RV tech by trade and I've watched almost all your videos, and I still can't believe how much you can heat and stretch these films. Our decals are not even close to that forgiving or manipulable and I've tried your techniques. We even have Avery and 3m brand decals. They must be super low end cause when we get the local vinyl shop to make custom discontinued decals they feel way thicker and manipulate well. Oem if you don't use soapy water then there's no way you're pulling it back off the trailer without stretching and ruining the decal.

      Do you have BusWrap , can't remember the company name but it starts with an F..? I had my first experience with that stuff last week and it's trash to work with lol
      Edit: nevermind, just saw that you said you're using 3M and Avery.. what line of 3M/Avery are you using? In the wrap world, it's typically 3M 1080 vinyl, and Avery SW900 or SWF.. anything else could be more difficult to work with. Maybe you have a lower end calendared vinyl rather than cast

    • @curtisellefsen1939
      @curtisellefsen1939 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it's a cast film have you tried using rapid tac or rapid tac 2? You can even use rapid tac 2 on any type film, also doubles as a bonding agent when it dries.

    Watching this and I think you are realllllyyyy pulling it tight. Should any nick happen it will be pulled back fast. Like over tightening a drum.
    A relaxed fit allows you to really get in those recesses much easier than pulling it holding the other part down with your elbow.

    When wrapping a Jeep like that in Toronto, how well does it hold up to snow, cold and road salt. I take it you don’t drive this Jeep off-road so scratches from bushes and trees probably isn’t an issue. I’m just curious if this Jeep is driven year round wrapped? If so, does the wrap need replacing often?

    @thebeardedgingerontheinter3256 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    This would be a lot easier to just plasti dip the part. Then once its plasti dipped you hydro dip the pattern over the plasti dip and when your over the pattern you can pull off the plasti dip and not damage or permanently color the part.

    • @joebutta7539
      @joebutta7539 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      All do respect this is a WRAPPING channel bud.
      You also wouldn't get the texture hydro dipping,
      and definitely would take much longer and cost much more, not to mention how sensitive the hydro graphic will be to scuffing/ damage.

    • @Michael-jq5pf
      @Michael-jq5pf 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This ain't DipYourCar! Lol but in all seriousness, vinyl is incredibly different in terms of application strength, the benefits, and the variety and quality of the finish. Yes, it's more difficult.. but it is arguably better for the applications you'll see on this channel.
      I like plastidip, but it is just... Really different

    • @thebeardedgingerontheinter3256
      @thebeardedgingerontheinter3256 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey man...to both of you i get this is a wrapping channel. And you think some dude who watches this is gunna be able to pull that off i don't think so maybe some easy panels but not that stuff. All i was saying was the easiest way to do it is to plasti dip the part to protect the part. Not fully complete then you hydro dip it then you clear it... geeze i thought canadians were nice and would see that maybe this particular application is not for someone who just watched this one video and would like a easy option

    LOVE your channel man, only thing is that startling sound you have right at the start - scared the absolute sh#$ out of me.! It's REALLY loud even with volume set normally.

    Improve the camera angles and lighting please. I was struggling to see clearly what were you doing. Above all you were just talking over 7 minutes! Bro please take my suggestion in a good way.
    Respect your hardworking.

    God damn it. Vinyl wraps are great until they try to mimic high end finishes. They ruined gloss weave carbon and now forged carbon as well.

    Very poor video, you held the part up to high and I couldn't see what exactly what you were doing

    You need better lighting and staying in the camera frame.

    Your lighting is “back-lit” per the shadows here. PUT THAT LIGHT OUT FRONT, ON THE ITEM. So must LOST due to dark shadows, we can’t see the item, detail of wrap you are doing. I gave up and went on because of this.
