Got a 04 GX470 same codes popped up. Checked the gas cap it was original and dirty, rubber gasket was hard and brittle. Bought new one off E-Bay, installed. Lights went out next time driving to work, perfect!!! Thanks much!

Have an 05. Same lights on like the thumbnail. Pulled a P0340 and P0345. These point to camshaft sensor but somehow connected to the evap thus replacing the gas cap? All this after jump starting the truck.
No both of those point to the same cam sensor, inspect wires to it, pull it and inspect for metal or extra sludge Do you know how to use a multimeter very well?
2007 GX470 260K -- 3 dash light indicators on: VSC TRAC; VSC OFF; Car with squiggly lines symbol. No Check Engine Light. ONLY Codes TPMS all four (C21nn) , and air bags circuit fault (B0136, B1148). Driver front break caliper is dragging on disk (disk gets hot). Mechanic (not Toyota trained) thought caliper might be rusted - needs cleaned and greased. So, is PCM/ESC trowing light due to caliper binding or is caliper binding due to PCM issue. Again, no other codes coming up for PCM/ECM. Center diff engages/disengages. Gas cap closed. How to diagnose?
That’s one I haven’t seen. Is there a Toyota tech anywhere near? The airbag fault can be as small as the wire under the seat. With no check engine light the most common issues I’ve seen is the ECU-B fuse blown, under the hood. I know that seems totally unrelated, and very well may be, but it’s worth a look at least
Dash lights cleared themselves after driving about 80 miles and restarting engine. Didn’t mention that they had previously also installed a new battery which cleared codes. Have not checked the front caliper that’s dragging to see if it’s rusted and needs grease, or a system problem. Re:airbags The vehicle had been in an accident on passenger side (T-bone) and all airbags deployed and were subsequently replaced. My guess is fault is related to that history. Something funny with driver side lights - 3 bulbs out. Owner is asking 4500$ - probably will offer half that to start.

SAME! All those lights. Code said a 02 sensor. Replaced gas cap. Only issue I have is when driving, it does NOT have the same take off as it did. It is more reserved on the take off. Like it is holding back. 😞

You do lose traction control function and sometimes ABS function in emergency sliding situations. Beyond that, no. I personally wouldn’t be afraid to drive it, just know those functions aren’t active and it’s going to drive like an older vehicle at that point.
Hello, my 2009 Lexus rx350 vsc light is flashing also my check engine light and traction is on. Last week I tighten the gas cap and all lights went off, but a few days later they came back on. Hi, pulled codes P0456 and C1201. Got a oem gas cap and fitment was worse than the one it had. Took out the o-ring from the new and used it with the old cap, lights are still on but will try driving it a bit more to see if they go away. What is the fix for C1201?

You may need to do the SAIS bypass as well. just did that for mine at 118k miles. first time around, mechanic replaced the cat because he thought that was the problem, came up again just recently. Went and bought the bypass. no codes. i was getting a p1445 or p1442. same lights came on. also heard the the ecm or ecu chip can be faulty in colder weather and set off false positives.
Did the codes ever come back? Did you do the Hewitt bypass? I have those codes specially in the winter. No issues, just the lights that I clean with the scanner.
Its the most likely cause of a code but you still have to run the codes to know it’s not something besides the evap leak code. Did you have codes pulled and if so, what codes came up?

It takes no effort at all to remove the gas cap with the old one or the new one. I ordered one from Amazon now that the seller is a Lexus dealer so im hopefull that it is OEM.

No, you’ll need to be looking at the secondary air injection system. There are two routes, replace or bypass. Sometimes clearing the code is a fix for a while but it will need attention eventually
Is there a certain amount of miles that you need to drive before the lights goes out? My wife just put gas in yesterday and the lights are on now. I retighten the gas cap She only drove it once since then. Just wondering if there's a specific amount of miles he needs to drive to have the codes clear

The CEL isn’t actually on it’s just the abs vsc trac codes. I ran a scan with my cheap 25$ code scanner and it said no codes. I’m assuming it could be an abs/wheel speed sensor that got roughed up a bit during the shock install?
Hey, everything was running fine and dandy until I pulled my battery to change my driver side blinker... when I went to start it up after the project was done I had some noise and some misfires and these lights came on. Hi. I have a 2007 GX470 with 290k miles. Lights came on, tried gas cap. Did not work. Pulled codes and got "P1442 Secondary Air Injection System Switching Valve No. 2 Bank No.1 Stuck Closed". I now know what the problem is and how to fix it, which from what I've seen looks like a big pain. The lights came on on a very cold morning a few days ago. I looked up a bunch of videos and read some threads, but no one seems to mention my specific issue. It makes me wonder if I have bigger problems or did it just go unmentioned. In addition to the light show, the RPMs go very high before it shifts (if it even does). However, it almost shifts normally if I keep the RPMs under 2000. Still, even after gently building speed, the RPMs just shoot up yo 3-4000 if I hit the gas. Does that sound familiar to anyone? I’m desperate. -Russ
My GX lights came on, bought the gas cap from my local dealer, I drove it about 20 miles so far and lights still on, I also disconnected the negative on the battery to reset it, then the lights went away but came right back, any other suggestions or how long you have to drive it til lights go off? 2195 is bank 1 sensor 1 faulty showing lean 0138 is showing faulty rich May change the sensor but try cleaning the mass air flow sensor and resetting lights first
I got those lights on my 2007 Toyota tundra.. it drives fine no weird noises it gots lots of power.. but I'm still worried I just bought the truck a week ago and got it shipped to me thru crowley hopefully when I try this tomorrow it solves my problem. Thank for the information
Could be the ABS in this case and it would just need reset with a good code reader that a mechanic would keep on hand. If it was read with a cheap one it takes the calibration away. Let me know if you haven’t had it read recently tho

Gotta know the codes, the gas cap is only a good solution for evap codes. Common, but it’s not the end all. Pull the codes if possible and let us know what you have. Sounds like your transmission may have some issues
Well after I wash the video I got out and check my fuel cap by retaining it and don't work but the very next day I stop at AutoZone and got one and immediately my lights tur off

this happened to me, but i was parked eating chipotle listening to music with my car half on for like half a hour, my car got those warning lights but it seemed like the car was struggling to turn on and made some weird bubbling noises. Roadside assistance booted the battery and the car turned back on with those lights still on but this morning theyre all gone. Any chance anyone could help?

Your engine is running lean because you didn't replace your O2 sensors.
Mine is because of the long pipe headers on it. Now my code readers will not read the codes. Is it port 5 and 13 that you can connect a paperclip to?

1201 is ECM malfunctioning. it could have directly come from the evap code above. Did you disconnect battery to reset or have a scan tool to reset?

Yes they can definitely need that as well at times, this one was just the cap fortunately 💪🏼 for now anyway 😂

checked gas cap, ran a few tanks, still on. replaced gas cap. rand couple of tanks still on. disconnected battery, still on.

You still need to have codes for either way to know what’s truly wrong that’s just a very common reason on these

Because we delete shocks all the time with no lights, you’ll need to pull codes to see what they’re saying and I can help from there

After pulling a battery there’s no telling, it shouldn’t have had any bearing on it honestly. Codes will be the most helpful next step

It can put you into limp mode but if it’s driving fine you should be ok for now, would definitely get the bypass kit soon as I could

P0138 and P2195 are the codes that I got, was advised that are related to oxygen sensors, can you advise, thanks again!!

Code popped again AFTER the work.

this happened to me, but i was parked eating chipotle listening to music with my car half on for like half a hour, my car got those warning lights but it seemed like the car was struggling to turn on and made some weird bubbling noises. Roadside assistance booted the battery and the car turned back on with those lights still on but this morning theyre all gone. Any chance anyone could help?
I had the exact thing you've experienced, alternator was found faulty, replaced it and now the lights came back but with no driveability issues though
for me the battery had a connection problem, just used a screwdriver.
