Simple Green Juice Recipe || Detoxing and Cell Rejuvenating Green Juice

  • Ingredients:
    kale
    1 large cucumber
    7 stalks celery
    1/2 lemon juice
    2 green apples
    Piece of ginger
    2 and 1/2 cups cold water
    Juicer vs blender
    You will get a more concentrated juice when you use a juicer as suppose to using a blender and having to add extra water to free up the blades. Either way the juice will turn out fine and your body will appreciate it. The clean up time will definitely cut short using the blender 😀.
    🍃 You can also use this recipe to make a smoothie, just blend a bit more refine.
    All of these ingredients are powerful Antioxidants
    Antioxidants help the body remove unwanted toxins that result from natural processes or from the environment.
    These toxins are called free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecules. If too many build up in the body, they can lead to cell damage and promotes and environment for diseases and illnesses.
    Juice vs smoothie
    When you consume vegetables/ fruits juices they bypass most of the digestive process and the cells get to use and absorb the nutrients instantly. Smoothies on the other hand have the fiber which promotes a healthy peristalsis. Although in a refine state the body will still exert some amount of energy to digest it and the cells will use and absorb the nutrients less quicker when compared to juice. Either way they both are great ways to get those vital nutrients. Juicing/ fasting is a great way to also give your digestive system a break. The digestive system uses a lot of energy to digest foods. Giving the digestive system a break even if it’s from one meal of the day, the body can use that same energy to heal and get rid of toxins.

    I make this almost everyday in my cold press juicer. One thing I would recommend is to start with 1 inch of ginger and increase a little at a time according to your taste. The amount she used in this video would be wayyy too much for my wife and I (of course, with the juicer, we don't add any water). Also, I keep a glass bottle in the freezer and pour the juice into that to let it chill while I clean everything up. Generally, we make just enough for one serving at a time. By the way, this is the exact recipe, "Joe's Mean Green", Joe Cross has in his app,

    I've tried eating this food without juicing it. It's great. It costs less and you also get the fiber which helps improve gut health. The ginger and kale can be blended with some extra water and one more apple.

    • @jgut69
      @jgut69 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Why would you strain it. ? We all need the fiber

    • @michellepalmer5283
      @michellepalmer5283 2 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      @@jgut69 yes straining pulls out the fiber but you can get fiber by eating healthy meals. By removing the fiber you make it to where the juice doesn't have to be processed in the stomach. The nutrients go straight into your blood stream.

      I dont strain my green juice be cause 1. It dirties The strainer and bowl which means more dishes to clean and 2. It takes the pulp and fiber out which means your body will get hungry again soon after you drink it.

    • @nanastrippin2006
      @nanastrippin2006 ปีที่แล้ว

      True, but to give someone a jump start, it's good to juice now and then, though your right, it shouldn't take the place of the actual food 👍

    • @nanastrippin2006
      @nanastrippin2006 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly, so just use the pulp to make breads or quiches, it's all good, but juicing is just a way to give our guys a bit of a break and clean out the bulk of the waste, though it's not to take the place of the actual food, it does give us a jump start to cleansing the colon and gut, but good point 👍

      You don’t have to strain it, however to get a more refine texture just blend a bit longer. The fiber is good, but the body will absorb the nutrients from just the juice quicker. The fiber mostly enhance peristalsis.
