Dude the Blackfish became my vehicle as soon as it released. The versatility of it is amazing. Plus, I'm not going to lie, it's amazing being on the ground, about to be overrun and getting saved by that beauty.
Blackfish is life, man! Getting the AI to circle above was fun (loiter waypoint), and watching it go ham on ground troops as I walked up to engage was awesome.
Designation FV720 Mora. The Mora, my favourite vanilla vehicle. I love this vehicle out of absolute respect. Flashback to my solo antistasi days. AAF would wipe the floor with me. Stasi is one of the toughest game modes to play solo, worse for someone with less than 30 hours in game. I spent many days (ingame) just grinding that game mode. So imagine my joy when I got my hands on a freaking armoured vehicle. I remember 'turning out' for the first time and game and feeling so cool. With my new armour I decided to take bigger targets with a coordinated assault. Guess who was going to command the assault turned out in an armoured vehicle? This guy. Got a bunch of squads, perched my MORA on a hill overlooking the outpost, took out a bunch of dudes, took out a patrol that rolled by. This...this was the best moment Ever! The Mora was the definition of an 'Asset' for me. I feel in love. Then I heard the distinctive sound of a missile flying at me... This ended my dream of mechanizing the resistance.

I know there are videos explaining mods. But as a new player, I’d appreciate a list of the visual mods used on showcases like this, and to stretch a request, a list of the mods used in any particular video. I’ve downloaded a ton from Vipers’ videos but I want to know which ones are best suited to which scenarios by demonstration, rather than having to go back and review each mod each time until I understand where they fit in. I’m not on multiplayer yet, I’m just not good enough, I just love the look - even of the vanilla game. The stuff shown here is next level, however.
I love the Kajman. I'm definitely a tank man but when I have to fly gotta be the kaj, as its as close to a flying tank as we get. I like then fact you can act as both a troop transport and CAS. Shout out to all the UAVs too they don't get enough love and are a game changer.
The Kajman is easily my favorite behind the xi'jan but the xi'jan is just a faster Kajman so yeah. But it can remove all enemy's armor before they realize I am there. Not to mention scary it looks, I was playing warlords and we where in the last point and saw this thing fly over and I just gave up it scared the crap out of me
I never used tanks until the T-140K was released. I have never been faced with a target I couldn't take down with that beast. The only issue I have with it is the ammo capacity of the 30mm cannon. Depending on the number of targets, I sometimes wish I had the 50 cal just for the extra capacity to spray ground troops, especially in more urban or jungle settings.
The Y-32 Xi'an really deserves a place on this list near the top IMO. It's a VTOL with comparable speed to both CAS aircraft but can vector is thrust granting it much higher agility. It can take off and land anywhere, hover, carries 16 ATGMs, supports a 30mm turret, and can carry 16 troops to boot. But arguably its biggest boon is radar.

A few things you missed: Black Wasp can carry 8 SDBs capable of 1 shotting every vehicle in the game. Due to it being a glide bomb it allows pilots to drop from a large standoff range Allowing a stealth version to do proper SEAD. Along with this, the SDB, unlike other bombs, can lock onto infrared signatures, not just lasers. Also didn't mentions the Scorcher's AT shells which can guide and destroy any light armor within 100m of its landing zone with extreme precision. Also was happy to see the Marshall, not on the list. As much as I love NATO, the marshall is just... so underwhelming. Great video! Maybe a worst 20 list next?
18:14 speaking of using IFV-6a Cheetah against armored vehicles, I found the main battle tank often got it's main gun disabled by the auto-cannon of the Cheetah.
the most underrated vehicle in arma is definetly helicopters, few people actually know how to properly use its gun capability and tatics, i've seen people use the kajman inside the AO and low altitude

He is one of my favorite modders, can’t thank him enough for that mod. Makes it so easy to get clean first person visuals and cut way down on how long it takes to get that footage.
You should have noted the AH99 is the real life RAH 66 Commanche of the 1990s and early 2000s that the AH64 Longbow Apache superseded in 2001 just before 9 11. The apache was preferred over it and the pilot program was killed. There is 1 I believe in a museum on the east coast or out west am not sure, I believe it was a US Army Aviation Stealth Program if I remember correctly but great video I really enjoyed it.

I love your little speech about what you find fun about Arma. But as someone who’s just gotten into it, I have no idea where to find those experiences. I’m currently playing antistasi in a server with friends, but coming from squad which is centred around a couple gamemodes, this is server based so there’s no proper matchmaking and it all seems much more serious.
I would argue that the Rhino should be near the top or atleast on the list. Air-mobile, fast mobility, data-link, 120mm APFSDS that'll annihilate tanks, laser guided non-line-of-sight ATGMs and Sexy AF. Otherwise great list 👍

I think the Kuma might be based on the Leopard 2PL (based on the turret cheeks), which is actually a Polish upgrade to the Leopard 2A4, mainly focusing on survivability, and retaining the original L/44 cannon
Honestly you may be completely right, I'm not overtly familiar with the Leopard 2 upgrades aside from the research conducted for the video. Of course the ArmA 3 wiki is pretty non-specific with it's info on the real world application aside from "It's modeled off the Leopard 2" lol.

I told 'em I'll get some more mods and a great scenario in the workshop after playing apex protocol. Do you have any recomendations for scenarios in the workshop? I'd 'preciate it a ton.

Ok I really need some help with this, I saw you use the ATGMs on the hellcat but how are you guiding them? I can't get it to work but any vehicle with radar seems to be able to lock but I just can't do it on that vehicle. Does the ATGM lock after launch? What am I missing here?
It only likes enemy vehicles that are moving, I found. If they're stationary and turned off, it won't lock. Also make sure you have an AI copilot because they control the lock on.
question: the vehicles aren't supposed to be 100% realistic right? Bc for example the thing that's essentially a leopard 2 revolution that is supposed to have an l55, the gun shown in the footage is an L44, an L55 should be longer, or maybe I'm dumb but that doesn't look like an l55 edit: it also shouldn't really be bc the revolution is an upgraded 2a4
I am also a vehicle focused player. Btw, you know a good mod for the F-4 Phantom II and/or the MiG-21 that isn't tied to Unsung, since A) I don't want more weapons and B) Unsung tends to do some funky stuff that I don't like. I guess HAFM exists but I just want the vehicles.
Interesting video, although I think the analysis of the Mora's defensive capability is lacking insight from testing. On paper it has a lot of armor. In reality there are angles from which a MAWS or RPG 42 rocket will instantly destroy it, while a Marid, Kamysh or Gorgon could survive. Worse still, these death zones are at the front. The engine is in the front of the hull, which is not a great start. But the big weak point is the ammo compartment, which is easily detonated with a frontal rocket to the turret, where there is no slate cage coverage. The Kamyish and Gorgon can lose their turrets to a rocket without blowing up, whereas the Mora can't. The main strength of the Mora (if I had to give it one) is that it's impossible to get an M-kill on it with small arms fire, because of the treads. The Kamysh shares this trait, so if given the choice I always pick the Kamysh, in spite of its unarmored cannon. At least you can run away with the Kamysh when you suffer an F-kill.
Y32 Xi'an is better then Mi-48 Kajman. It has the same armaments, it's faster and can carry more troops. It's not something people would want to admit because the Kajman looks pretty cool and beefy.

Could you build a MP mission where you are the driver of the mora. The mission would have human dismounts. The purpose of the mission/video would be to showcase how good the mora is and how to use it properly at its strengths. Driver should be 1st person only and a combination of turned in and out depending on situation.
I too was turned off by CSAT and that may have led me to overlook many of the vanilla assets in the game and favor CUP and RHS assets instead. Watching this excellent video has reminded me that there are some very cool vehicles and aircraft that have been underutilized in my game play. Awesome job!

I land all the time, it’s so easy with autopilot! (Though I once tried it with the NATO attack UAV and it uh- didn’t go too well 😂)

nice video but the "Slammer" is based on the Merkava Mk4. That's the newest IDF main battle tank. the Merkava lineup reaches only up to Mk4 for now.

One of my favourite vehicles is the Strider HMG. Fast, manoeuvrable and amphibious make up for it’s relatively light armour.

which mod are you using that let the Ai deploy smoke screen from vehicles by their own ?
That's not mod, thats a vanilla mechanic. If a vehicle with smoke launchers is locked by a radar guided missile, it will deploy smoke countermeasures.
I am also a vehicle focused player.

Interesting video, although I think the analysis of the Mora's defensive capability is lacking insight from testing. On paper it has a lot of armor. In reality there are angles from which a MAWS or RPG 42 rocket will instantly destroy it, while a Marid, Kamysh or Gorgon could survive. Worse still, these death zones are at the front. The engine is in the front of the hull, which is not a great start. But the big weak point is the ammo compartment, which is easily detonated with a frontal rocket to the turret, where there is no slate cage coverage. The Kamyish and Gorgon can lose their turrets to a rocket without blowing up, whereas the Mora can't.
The main strength of the Mora (if I had to give it one) is that it's impossible to get an M-kill on it with small arms fire, because of the treads. The Kamysh shares this trait, so if given the choice I always pick the Kamysh, in spite of its unarmored cannon. At least you can run away with the Kamysh when you suffer an F-kill.
I hope that someday I can pilot the choppers like that jajaja

Y32 Xi'an is better then Mi-48 Kajman. It has the same armaments, it's faster and can carry more troops. It's not something people would want to admit because the Kajman looks pretty cool and beefy.

Could you build a MP mission where you are the driver of the mora. The mission would have human dismounts. The purpose of the mission/video would be to showcase how good the mora is and how to use it properly at its strengths. Driver should be 1st person only and a combination of turned in and out depending on situation.

I too was turned off by CSAT and that may have led me to overlook many of the vanilla assets in the game and favor CUP and RHS assets instead. Watching this excellent video has reminded me that there are some very cool vehicles and aircraft that have been underutilized in my game play. Awesome job!
