- This is another version of a previous video I made showcasing this. Only this time I show you how to use AI to ensure you can progress totally solo! Therefore the perfect single player mode does exist in this military sandbox open world simulator

New Arma folks: Arma Game settings. Drop AI Skill near 50%, Precision near 20%. Greatly reduces rage quit urges until you get use to the AI's "aimbot"ing and Borg spot reporting.
On top of that, I also use ai accuracy fix mod and ai can't see through grass/smoke mods.
@aryabratsahoo7474 yup. I've tried those and they work, when allowed. Unfortunately, for me, I've played so long and in various milsims that I had to learn the "Arma Way", or meta data.
I love that you are actually explaining stuff step by step with all the whys and hows. Haven't seen that from arma content creators yet. Everyone always assumes that the viewer knows the basics and it makes it really difficult sometimes.
The learning curve to get started is massive, I totally understand the frustration people have trying to learn the game by them selves. The problem is people will spend 3 or 4 hours trying to clicking around the menu and dabbling in some overwhelming scenarios and then the game just sits in their steam library. My goal is give people a reason to dust off the game and fire it back up or to capitalize on the steam sales when arms goes on sale often and get into this amazing combat simulator.
Exactly! I was almost givong up and unninstalling, but found out videos like yours, and now I know there are ways to start playing offline (without ppl telling how u should not skip tutorial etc.), and get used to mechanics. @@ylsgaming

Every content creator assumes too much and very few, if any, explains arma 3 for noobs. Got almost 30 years of gaming under my belt but Arma 3 has a helluva learning curve that i've rarely (if ever) seen before.

I just got a PC a week ago and got Dayz and Arma 3.
I have never played games on mouse and keyboard before and it's a struggle.
Arma seems way more complicated to me, I hope it gets easier because it looks fun AF.

@@jordanhess2061Don't worry, I was a console guy till I was 25. I got into PC gaming in 2015 never looked back. BUT, I still absolutely hate how mouse and keyboard feels. I don't find it immersive due to lack of rumble and not being able to control how quick I'm moving in most games other than walking slowly to full run. I use controller on all games. If no decent controller support, I just gave up on trying to remap 1000 inputs to the controller. I just don't bother playing those games because aiming will be trash anyway.
Most games have native controller support these days.
The point of this post is simply to say not to worry if you can't get used to mouse and keyboard. Cheers.

Highly recommend Antistasi Plus for single player, it has a parameters that allows you to control remaining AI when you're downed/incapacitated so you can stay in the fight and use a medit on yourselves
My strat is always
Step one: ambush cops steal radios
Optional: hire ai from unit management flag
Step 2: in Y menu, ai management, send selected units to command
Step 3: control+space
This toggles the ai control interface between your squad (units under our direct control) and squads plural
All squads under commander
Commanding them is much better as they'll act semi independently
Step 4: select the squad and assign them a vehicle though y menu
Step 5: 25 radios
The objective now is to get 25 radios so they're unlocked
Step 6: the world is your oyster
In command menu now change ai loadouts and give them radios
Now never lose contact and use squads like command and conquer to push in before you and draw everything out to play
Send them down the roads checking for roadblocks or into resources
This is a great info starter pack! Well done
Antistasi Ultimate master race
Antistasi ultimate also allows you to stay in despite being down, the downside is that you must absolutely not be in the AI when you're about to be picked up, unless you want to be bugged.
This is noob ques but what does getting the radios do for you if you can already command the AI units?
@@bkk6211 If you're a certain distance away from them, they lose contact with you, meaning you can't do long range coms or split up for multiple avenues of attack.
Everything you ordered them to do goes back to default, and they'll haul ass to get back to you. (If they're driving a vic, and/or commanding one, they'll stay in it and drive it towards WHEREVER you are, if they're a passenger then they get out and run towards you)
Pro tip: DO NOT personally edit AI loadouts WITHOUT radio's yet, you WILL have to manually edit them all again if you get them, if its set to default loadouts, you wont need to.
I have played arma with groups for few years, but since last 2 last years i just like hopping on to antistasi only myself every few months to chill and have fun. I just dont have the time and will to play with groups anymore, but i still love arma. Very cool that you explain this to newcomers, antistasi is awesome and i love how it improves every single time i come back to it.
Well just so you know we have a 24/7 dedicated server running antistasi. The beauty is that people can come and go as they please because it’s 24/7

Finally some good current Info! Keep the videos coming I am on the struggle bus with Antistasi Ultimate! Got to figure out how to get air assets and work different teams of AI.
Make it your long term mission early on to capture an air base. Then maybe set your HQ close by but not right on top of the air base. If you can capture the air base with minimal destruction, you’ll be able to garage the air assets they have in the hangers. You won’t be able to store air support until you have an airbase

It's been years since I've played Amra 2 DayZ, Epoch, etc. Arma 3 and stand alone Dayz. Saw you're video about Antistasi and downloaded the mod. Watching your videos on this mod is making me want to join your server. I'm going to play solo for a bit. I do miss the crap out of this game!

Great videos that have really helped me go for it in Antistasi. One helpful tip is to purchase a fuel barrel or fuel container and place it at your HQ so you can refuel easily before every mission since the purchased vehicles are so low in fuel at first.
Yes that’s a great tip. It proves very helpful for trips farther from base. Fortunately the vehicles are cheap so in a lot of cases they become throwaways or you end up stealing a car with a full tank of gas from the towns
Very true. Also.. Shift-Y with a mortar team is a game changer. I pound an installation with 2 mortar teams and then send in infantry. Once things are pretty under control I drive in with AI in an HMG to start cleaning up and take the flag.
Obviously, I am more of a high command guy rather than CQB lol

How do you actually refuel?, I purchased the small fuel container but I did not see any indication as how to actually refuel, google told me I need a fuel truck

I've played previous versions of Antistasi, but for some reason with this version, I can't interact with the flagpole or whiteboard, but can with the garage and arsenal. Trying to trouble shoot.

after 11 years of the Arma 3 release I still got 30 fps in Contact dlc and scenario about the old man, that`s incredible
I used to try and play overthrow solo, while I did have fun, honestly it was crazy fun ... I got bored due to the difficulty as i was making zero progress. I'll check this out when I get a chance cheers!
It can be tough. At least in antistasi you have many assets and so abilities you can utilize

just started playing antistasi a couple days ago, it's wild.
It really is. We beat our first one the other day. Now we have a 24/7 dedicated server that our community fights for everyday. It’s awesome how everyone in there can alter the war at hand based on decisions they make. Antistasi is a great long term game mode with a huge sense of progression as you go

A few things. You can use the numerical keys to control the AI in much more detail. Tilde, then 4 then 1 makes them disembark, for instance. Or you can spesifically ask them to get in back for mounting vehicles in passenger positions.
You can choose formations, ROEs, bounding, tell them not to shoot, to use stealth and so much more. The context menu suck by comparison.

One thing I noticed you missed for a good solo run was you didn't enable the combat recovery kits in the parm. menu. They are expensive in this version but it's the only way to self revive.

I played the campaign and i love it the story isnt like incredible but the gameplay and immersion and as the plot unfolds it really got me immersed in the game. I played some single player mods but with no voice acting and story its really boring

I wouldn’t say pro, I’m just another noob that wants to share his expirience with others. Arma is a tough game to get into by yourself, like REALLY tough. So as I find new ways to have a good experience in arma as a noob, I like share them with everyone

DUWS is amazing, but you should also definitely check out Alive, it takes longer and more knowledge to set up, but its the most powerful mod to completely utilize the sandbox in a dynamic ongoing war scenario

My best advice is do not remove fatigue. A big part of the game is managing inventory space. With no fatigue, you can just pack endless spare rockets into your kit. It’s takes away from the game

I'm just getting started with Antistasi solo. I got the server setup etc and have recruited some squad mates do they spawn with ammo? I ask because it looks like they don't have any mags loaded. We're still at the HQ but it would be an unpleasant surprise to find out when we get engaged that they have no ammo 🙂
Who ever you recruit will take weapons and gear from the arsenal but only items that you have unlimited supply of. They have ammo, you need not worry
My first play last week. Bootcamp, lot of talk then and immediate headshot. This is fking hard
Yeah the game promotes slow play and keeping your head down. There are some mods that make the AI have less super powers. Part of the issue is they can see you through tall grass and such. I use the mod called “ai cannot see through grass” and it makes for much more realistic gameplay
Could this be setup on an AMP server for 2 or 3 people to play? Looking for a persistant game mode for me and a mate (who have not played arma since it was Operation flashpoint lol)

It's truly very immersive and I recommend it without mods except maybe a 75% recoil reduction mod.

You’d have to play with the different DLC and starting factions to get different clothing options

How do I heal myself? ace medical says I press H to pull up the ace menu but it does nothing, do I have to use the ace medical or can I use the default medical system
H is probably double bound in your controls. Find it in your controls and change it. Sometimes it auto binds to windows key + H. Try that too

I tried this, I cannot get anywhere, I start with $1000, I click middle button on the flag pole and get 4 or 5 guys. I click on the gear pack and get a gun and a pistol, I cannot figure out how to get ammo for me and the AI group not matter what I click on. I click on the garage and everything is greyed out. what button or key do I click to get ammo and a car?
Join my discord community. It’s a much better environment to get your ball rolling in antistasi. We encourage new players too. We have countless members that will happily walk you through getting started
Antistasis great and all but still probably a lot for new players. Classic DRO missions seem like a better starting point. Overthrows also easier and in my opinion a bit better in terms of the economy and faction management system. Much easier to ease yourself into combat or take an alternate route to the raid loot die repeat loop that Antistasis known for. Not sure why Overthrow gets no love anymore.
That’s a good point. I actually just made a video for overthrow in arma reforger. It really is a great game mode to start off and learn the mechanics of the game.
I marked discord in my bookmarks, and set up an account. The problem is when i used the bookmark it takes me to the invite page. Could you send me a link to your server. When i try to sign in the server says my email is on file and can't go any on farther.
You need to download the discord app and sign in to it. Then when you click my invite link, it will give you access to my discord community

There are three main ones to choose from. The original, antistasi deluxe and antistasi ultimate. This video was just regular antistasi original

I cant get my game to start. When I go to single player antistasi the game goes unresponsive. I have uninstalled, checked integrity, firewall, mod loaded. Nothing happens, my arma 3 unresponsive

I don’t think but you may be able to run it through the scanerio’s option. But what’s the issue with using the lan option? Nobody can join you so it’s exactly the same as single player

When you create another server, in the same menu as the perameters, it has an upload to load game

It should work. You need to go to the workshop through steam, turn off all filters and just type in ‘antistasi’

Make sure you’re using the commander role when you go into the game. And of course recruiting is done at the flag pole and buying vehicles is done at the red crate with the scroll wheel

Our dedicated server runs some great quality of life mods but really antistasi only needs the one mod to work. I’d recommend getting the ‘AI cannot see through grass’ mod. That’s why those guys kept shooting me through the trees before I ever saw them

i have an issue, i cant save game when i hit esc button and persistent save seems to not work, anybody can help me with rhis?
Saving isn’t done in the escape menu. Go to the map to save. You can also change the auto save feature in the parameters to auto save every 10 or 20 mins to help combat losing progress when you log off

Yea no. The best way to learn how to do arma is the main campaign. If it "gets old quick" then rainbow six siege is where you can go.
Not everyone wants to do the campaign to learn. I found the campaign really hard when I first started arma but antistasi allowed me to learn at my own pace. So I have to disagree

Im taking the time to explain it rather than a new player burning out on the game just trying to get it to launch properly.
