Definitely usable but not in all conditions signals vary from place to place we can connect mobile hotspot when outside and at home we can use home wifi so saving money and use that money for buying a apple pencil will be useful. We go out with our phones for sure so we can connect our phone LTE to ipad through wifi it gets same speed as mobile I have ipad air 2 lte version but I always used my mobile hotspot having an LTE is depending on do really we spent extra not only for LTE but also for the subscription of it...

I agree that hotspots aren't the same experience. You're now burning battery on 2 devices, have to put in passwords, and you need to always have them next to each other. Having an iPad with it's own LTE connection is a game changer. I have one and it's great.
I will say that LTE on the Apple Watch is kind of pointless if you always have your phone on you. There's not much you can do on the Watch by itself unless you go for a run and want to leave your phone behind.

Check your phone plan to see whether or not it includes hotspotting (the ability to tether one device to your phone through your phones network giving that device the ability to use the internet). For example I don't use hotspotting but my plan includes 40gb per month. That's a lot of data included whether I use it or not. If this may apply to you then save the money and forgo the price increase of buying a cellular capable ipad and just use your phones hotspotting service if you have that included in your plan. Like this gentleman said "I'm never without my phone", is something many here can relate to. It may take a few extra moments to make the initial connection between the two devices but for me it's a waste to have cellular capability in an ipad given I do have the capacity to hotspot and can save money on the ipad wifi only and upgrade the memory. I'm not the first to mention this here but wanted to expound on this topic just a little bit more just in case some here didn't know what this was or if they already have it. Awesome video btw. Thank you for sharing your experiences.

IMO whatever you say pro vs cons are there isn’t any. If you don’t get LTE it’s a bust. To have it connected wherever you go is amazing. Plus it already has WiFi so why not add the LTE to it? IMO the only con is the price. It’s still worth it.

Just get the $20 att standalone tablet plan (I'm not an ATT customer), unlimited data is so worth it for me tu use my iPad at work or when visiting my family. You NEED to call or go to a store to get this plan as it is not allowed to be used standalone but reps will still do it.

You’ve got LTE iPhone in your pocket, just set up an wifi hotspot for your “wify only” iPad to use the LTE internet. I’ve got “wifi plus cellular” iPad, just for understanding.

Back when phones didn’t come with hotspot plans the cellular models was a great choice but now you really don’t need it..I only have the cellular model because I got my air threw spectrum so by me having hotspot and WiFi at home I only got the 1gig plan which does come in handy for times I’m not around WiFi

The LTE version of all tablets run about $200 more than the wifi version. However, the carriers will give you a $200 rebate so the extra cost is $0 dollars.

I just bought the cellular and wondered if it may be overkill. It does seem nice to be connected. Nice to know how much you love it. I’m not sure how much it costs per month for at and t. I’m looking forward to using this. It’ll be my first iPad.
I looked it up and seems like the cost is
    AT&T Prepaid $14.99 (1GB) $25 (2GB)
Not sure if that means per month

I was considering an iPad, but I may go with the xReal glasses instead combined with the Samsung Dex experience right from phone, iClever folding keyboard BK08 for reference. Let me know if you see what I mean. 😊

It would be great to show the cellular SMS phone app and SIM slot. Also does it have an SD card slot? Other than that it's a good video. It is very frustrating as a consumer to know there is two different devices and the options between Wifi and cellular. Can you make and receive calls if you wanted to put your phone SIM card into the iPad? And if you have one device it would save money in the long run versus paying for two devices iPhone and iPad.
