Your video was the only one that explained how to isolate a part of the image to make the correction, using a mask. This was exactly my question. Thank you very much for the precise information. Cheers
This video might be the only video that I've ever seen on TH-cam that doesn't have an obnoxious thumbnail, misleading title (i.e. "The ULTIMATE GUIDE TO POINT COLOR!!!!!), and does not hold back on actually providing the information. The way you explained it was so simple, thank you.
A trainer, tutor, teacher must have all the technical know how of the subject matter. BUT, if this trainer is an excellent communicator, knowing how to transmit knowledge and is wonderfully creative, then this trainer is top notch. And Julieanne Kost is. Simply superb, like Ben Willmore, the best of the best.
A brilliant tutorial. I wasn't aware of the potential for colour adjustment within a mask. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge through these videos. Much appreciated.
Finally! Well explained tut, Thank you. I wish there was the feature from PS, where you could add an eyedropper sample point to show the exact colour, to help with colour matching, etc.
As always, Julianne, your explanations are comprehensive and crystal clear. Thank you! I am also delighted to have more colour control over masked areas now - this is a very significant development for Lightroom Classic in my view.
ABSOLUTE BEST TUTORIAL ON POINT COLOR I've seen!!!!!!! I knew this was going to be a game changer for facial & skin tone correcting but your personal shot really showed the power of this tool!!!!! MANY THANKS!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much Julieanne, what a very helpful tutorial! This feature looks quite complex in the beginning and I felt like it will take ages to master it, but with your help I feel enabled and encouraged to just use it! Great that this is also in Lightroom (non-classic)!
Julieanne ~ Thank you for this. I think it is an excellent introduction, but I believe there needs to be a much more detailed video on using point color. It appears to be a game changer regarding color editing and I hope you and/or adobe comes out with a much more comprehensive instructional video and info on using Point Color. 😊
Thank you for this instructive video. Admittedly, until the sample images at the end of the video, I could hardly get my head around this new tool. But with the sample images (especially the ice) all of a sudden some ideas crossed my mind. What I have done in photoshop with luminance and color masking can now partly be done in Lightroom. Thank you again for taking us along. Cheers …
That's great, but I wish Adobe would address some of the larger functions. It would be great to have focus stacking in Lightroom so that there's no need to export the images into Photoshop!
I use Helicon Focus for focus stacking. It works well and has lots of options and control, probably more than Adobe would put in LrC. I worry about feature bloat in Lightroom.
Thank you!!! I noticed when using the color picker and increasing the saturation the shadows clip even with slight adjustments to saturation. What causes this?
Yep, some like point color was the one feature I really wanted to appear in LR. Yep, C1 is great, but it's tough justifying ~$17/month for just C1 when you can get LR & PS for $9.99 month after all of the features that Adobe has added to both programs over the last couple of years.

You're the best teacher of Lightroom that I have found in TH-cam! Detailed and you move at a good pace.
Wow, amazing. As usual nobody explains Lightroom better than Julieanne
Absolutely 👍
The fact that it's available in masking is really great.

I always love the way you demonstrate rather complex processes in a very easy to understand way. Thank you so much

Wow. There’s a lot of granular control in this feature. Thanks for pointing out all the details.

Just wow, simply amazing.
Incredible explanation and real world examples. Many thanks for this wonderful tutorial.
Great feature and to have it also in the masking section is incredible. Excellent video Julieanne, very well explained with great examples. Thank you.
Lots to digest here. I will find this very useful but wil need to view a few times more to become proficient. Many thanks Julieanne.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for another great clear, concise explanation.
Very clear and detailed ! Awesome video.
Wow using masking in combination with point color really does allow you to have full control of every color in your image.
Thank you so much Julieanne, what a very helpful tutorial! This feature looks quite complex in the beginning and I felt like it will take ages to master it, but with your help I feel enabled and encouraged to just use it! Great that this is also in Lightroom (non-classic)!
Another excellent tutorial Julieanne. Thank you!
Awesome presentation, thank you!

After 10 years my dreams have come true! I don't need to go into Photoshop as often anymore.
Muchas gracias.
this is cool... but can we add color from other source? with color picker for specific hex number... not yet ?
Thank you
Is there a comparable feature in Ps (ACR)?
Point Color was released simultaneously across Adobe Camera Raw, Lightroom Classic, and Lightroom on desktop and web (but not iOS/Android).
@@brightboxstudio Thx!
WOW
And Lightroom finally killed Capture One Pro, what a come back.

Great feature, great tutorial!
