I was in the same situation as you, mate. I could not find any real experience from a professional singer after the surgery so I was quite scared as well. Happy to help you 😊
Many doctors have said to me I should get my tonsils removed but I'm afraid of don't being able to sing well again!!!
I postponed this surgery for a long time because of that fear as well, but now I can tell you... I should have done it before

Do you breathe better? Do you feel less tired during the day? The sleeping got better?
No man, it doesn't have anything to do with the breathing. What I could say is that I went through the whole winter without getting I'll, something that didn't happen before.
Tonsillectomy is also a treatment for sleep apnea, so it should help a lot with breathing if your throat is being obstructed.
A sleep study will give insights for you individually.
did you feel like you had a frog in you're throat? I'm a singer too & I am 11 days in after surgery & I sound like me mixed with Kermit the frog.
Not really, truth is that after 2 weeks I was back having gigs 🤷♂️
@@LeaBaruffato omg you're lucky I feel like I'm light years from that still. I'm hoping it's just taking me a little longer to heal fully since im 40. I really hope my voice doesn't stay like this.
@@DanValdesMusic no worries man, is gonna come back better than before. Just be patient. It may take longer than me. Every body is different.
