Diaphragmatic breathing is optimum breathing for singing, especially when we have to sing high tones and/or long notes. In this video from the Berklee Online course Improvisation Techniques for Singing Pop and R&B, author Gabrielle Goodman takes you through singing exercises to help you understand and harness the power of diaphragmatic breathing. Remember that when it comes to singing, breathing plays a crucial role. This video will show you how diaphragmatic breathing will allow you to use your lungs at 100 percent capacity. So before even starting to sing, you’ll learn how to “breathe correctly,” expanding your abdominal muscles after each inhale and contracting after each exhale.

The simplistic mode of communicating very serious (tricky) topics on this platform is remarkable. Thank you @Berklee

It wasn't 15 seconds, it was 15 counts, she was counting like twice per second so it's a bit misleading.

The _Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh_ at 4:40 just reminds me of the beginning of The Lion King. Maybe it’s the same note.
