    I had this exact same car, so beautiful (to some), great power and sounds amazing. When I owned it I didn't appreciate it for what it was and I just compared it to the Next Generation M45 which had a lot more features. A few things though the transmission was slow to shift sometimes when you jump on it, of course no Bluetooth and backup camera, are you didn't have it active cruise control and 3D nav. The windows did rattle because of no door frame, and it was really reliable except one time I remember it needing oil. That being said I would get one again in a heartbeat oh and the rear seat was very small...

      EElectric_M motor wise that 4.5 is a great, strong engine with plenty of power. pretty reliable from what I hear. other than minor things going wrong (heard of interior falling apart/gauges/stuff like that). owning plenty of nissan and infiniti, the one thing to worry about is oil consumption in the vq. drive a m35x now and love it. bought it with high miles but in also have a complete overhauled vq in my garage waiting to be finished to put in(heads/cams/internals/bolt ons and tune). always wanted one of these m45s, or even the last couple years of the q45.

Our ‘02 QX4 on the other hand, has 202k miles, has a first gen DE motor. We’ve put 56k on that one. I have to add 1 qt every 850-1000 miles. LOL

      I have a 2010 m35 all you need to do is sand the headlights down and put clear coat on them and they look brand new

      ky malone 2003 M45 headlights are completely different from the 2010s. If you had one you'd understand. Just a simple google search will stop this headlight discussion.

      I've owned mine for almost 3 years with no issues. The engine is known to burn more oil than most, so you need to drop a quart in between oil changes.

      I'm at 182500 no engine issues..just fuel gauge reads incorrect right now and turn radius is crazy making u turns but it's a reliable car if you treat it right..No way you should be fixing it all the time unless u mistreat it or bought one that was mistreated and not maintained..

      It is at first, but it grows. I owned one and was appalled with looking at it for the first few weeks, but after a while I'd catch it in a window and just look at it. It's interesting how it becomes handsome over time. But I think that's mostly from the joy of driving it. It's surprisingly nimble and quick. Porsche contributed to the design. Can't say the same for the Pilot, though hahaha

    • @MrGoldenwaffler
      @MrGoldenwaffler 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      illitero god the pilot is like a ford tempo suv.
      I hear you on the driving dynamics. Years ago i had an onfiniti j30. Absolutely loved driving it. It was awful in snow however. Even with snow tires

    • @illitero
      @illitero 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I remember the first time I saw the redesign and I actually did a double take; I couldn't believe it. It was a relatively good looking vehicle; strong in design. Then BOOM. Big, gaudy headlights and an awkward looking grille.
      If it's any consolation on the m45, the headlights do an exceptional job of illumination. The HID cast a solid, disciplined beam, and the brights are BRIGHT and run with the low beams. I do a lot of night driving, and nothing irks me more than combo hi/lo beam halogens or combo housings that turn off the low beams when the hi beams are engaged. The US DOT ruins headlight effectiveness versus the rest of the world, and it's dangerous.

      OMG. I love the J30. I almost bought one in 2004 but then didn't lol. I now have a late 90's Lexus LS400. Something about those 90's Japanese luxury cars that were very distinct.
      By the way the J30, and any other PROPER luxury/sport sedan are rear-wheel drive which explains poor performance in the snow but superior ride qualities on dry pavement.
