I still like SF 2 better. Even with 1992 graphics
I agree, Capcom couldn't adapt to 3d, newer versions are better but far from industry standarts, MK11 is the new SF2 I think, in terms of animation and visual quality (for its time).
@@ergin3d I love MK 9 and newer graphics better than any street fighter game, BUT the fun factor and the moves and controls of SF games are much much better than any MK game since mk 3 in my opinion.
is the real sf
Me too
Not a fan of the more zoomed in view
Nothing beats the classic
please how does the magic in street fightet do????
Seriously? the game only had 8 dolls to play, and ryu and ken were practically the same lol
@@esssahli527 down + right + B (or any punching button)
@@jhonnyz9876 yes and if you boil it down it stiill is the core game 32 years later.. Also the characterdesign in 91 did hit the absolute sweet spot that even capcom never outdid it.
From the sound to the graphics Street Fighter 2 is just so original. SF 5 feels and looks like every other game out there. Street Fighter 2 is one of the best of all time..
SFV is garbage.
@@PetterNe damn chill😂
SFII just feels more better on the joystick. Dragon Punch was also invulnerable on the way up. I miss that 😢
Hope you like this Street Fighter nostalgic fun

Clasicc music is the best
I agree with you. Even some of the sound effects
Yes of course 💞
That's the only music I can hear. I can't even hear E. Hondas theme.
Yes...those original sound makes you feel like a kid again it's the best vs this new sound with laking voice???miss those arcade days...kids now days will never experience being in a arcade all day long and never gets bored...
Glory then, degradation today. Too sad.
Nostalgia is king. I remember when I'd walk into an arcade full of machines back in the early 90s. I soon figured out SF2 was somewhere among them by the sound of the elephants in Dhalsim's stage, then quickly made my way there with a pocket full of tokens.
for SF5 i wish they had a mode where you can play the new graphics but with legacy sound effects from SF2
Those new graphics suck ass.
@@Gameboy-Unboxings you are buggin. Capcom always delivered as far as graphics. ALWAYS.
SF 2: epic music
SF V : any music
Yo Tengo El soundtrack en my computadora :)
The Chun-Li vs. Guile fight makes me chuckle considering that their voice actors are married
so the round is just how their bedroom sounds like
@@bonminanda8096 lmao
Hey, they got together, got to know each other, had a fight, then made up. A wedding was naturally going to happen.
@@bonminanda8096 🤔😳
@@bonminanda8096 cringe.
classic music still better, so vivid
Go listen to Vega’s SFV theme now
alriight then,
- Dhalsim Stage = not same in SF2
- Chun Li Stage= not same in SF2
- Zangief Stage based on SF 3 Alpha Edition
Lol! I'd like to play "SF3 Alpha Edition". Is that coming out in 2045?
@@Xelae93 Lmao
@@Xelae93 i think he meant SF alpha 3
si
idk spanish, but i just feel like i like what you said
@@shark_plissken he said basically "The music, voices and other things about SF2 will forever be outstanding"
@@ChileanProto and thats why i felt like i would like what he said
Exacto! Echo de menos que Sagat diga "Taigah!" "TAIGARAPPERCOTT!"
The music had more of a presence in the old games. I barely notice the stage music in SF5
The old one are way better than new ones
SF2 was 1991, not 1987
You are right. Thx :)
CLASSIC FOREVER!!!
In all due fairness, I haven't player SF5, but from the looks alone, i can easily tell that the CLASSIC is waaaaaay better in regards to gameplay~!~!~!
In everything
@@PsychomachineryEBM.
Thank you :)
@@BeholderGuard I had since it came out and it was release in chapters, there was not even any story. They added that later with dlc. The hit detection is off. I like a drawn street fighter. In terms of drawing street fighter 3 was a masterpiece, for gameplay ( fighting)
Lol! Classic game sucks
@@belphegor9165 lol junior
This is a great idea, and I'm glad Capcom decided to do it!
Not really
Street fighter II is 1991, not 1987
street fighter 1 is 1987
Graphics can't revive old memories
Classic one more better for me👍👍
The old game is unbeatable the newer games don’t have the action 😎💪🏻
True.
Very true
please how does the magic in street fightet do????
SF3 third strike is pretty damn good tho
Street fighter 4 good tho
It's a shame they didn't remix the original music into the new updated SF. Bison's music was dissappointing.
Pode fazer o que for. Melhorar os gráficos, inventarem novos golpes, novos sons e novas trilhas. Nada se compara ao SF2. Ele é perfeito do jeito que é. Não precisava é não precisa mudar nada.
Remind me. Playing arcade machines like 20p, 50p £1 lol
At the end of the day, Ryu is indeed weaker than Ken. However, you could still technically slip by in saying that neither is stronger.
A masterpiece in the video game !!!
I love it :D
Classic was more accurate on Gyles stage…the background jet is a F16 which the USAF does fly in the remake it’s a F-18 which is only flown by the US Navy…so the “Air Force” written on the side makes no sense at all. Classic all the way.
SF2 immortal game, the years do not weigh on him
I loved how they rendered the F-16 for the classic game. New one is nice too.
The purity of the classic gameplay mechanics will never be beat
I’d love to give that game another try after all these years. I loved it as a little guy.
I love this!
All they had to do was make the backgrounds exactly the same with new graphics. Instead, they tried to improve them, and ended up making them worse.
And the music got embarrassed
Wow, SF2 looks great! I played it as a kid, and watched many times after that, but there it looks somehow better than SF5 in my eyes. Makes me want to try SF2 once again, despite playing SF5 almost daily.
i fought with myself if i buy the sf5 game because i play the arcade sf on mame with my nephew and it still is the best for me. Yet i absolutely enjoy sf5 fantastic modern game
This edit is sooooo cool
im still fascinated on how Hondas get abs over his huge stomach
Why do the sounds and music lack any impact from 1991 onwards? They never recaptured it.
Yeah the retro music always have a better impact. Games nowadays have music that you dont even remember anymore.
@@densakai new video game music just doesn’t sound like video game music, too layered to pay attention to lol.
Synthetic gaming. It never had the essence from those days were gaming was art in every aspect.
Because you're just old. Play Third Strike and and see how much better everything sounds especially the parrying sound effects.
@@mr.awesome6011 Depends who's parrying. Sounds okay I guess.
I love how the CPS1 sound effects pisses all over SFV audio.
C'était la bonne époque
As pointed out, I'm very glad Capcom made the choice to bring back classic stages for V. I was so happy to see Cammy's English Manor stage make a comeback in the 21st century, it looked great!
Updated versions Ken’s and Blanka’s stage would be awesome. I’m still having a great time with SFV and especially KOF15.
Saludos!!
THANK YOU MY BROTHER
VERY BEAUTIFUL VERY POWERFUL
2022
I like the original version I grew up on it but it still sounds a lot better the hits sound heavier and the voices are deeper
Everything about SF2 shines over SF5. The soul of the game is lost in a sea of graphics. 💯
you can tell its a different time period when Balrog's stage has covered women dancing next to their pimps. i still like Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition the best. no supers, no V triggers, no increased frames, no input buffering. just pure skill and timing.
I like the classic one better. Maybe because I grew up on the classic.
Love both
Fantastic. Love the Nostalgia. I haven't played the reincarnations of this game since decades ago. Maybe I should get it. But which platform? PC or Playstation???
new sub here epic video
They made The characters to bulky in the new street fighter games. They need to revert back to the classics how everyone preferred it
Am I the only one who:
Never realized Balrog's stage is outdoors, and not inside the casino?
Never realized that floating thing in Bison's stage is a bell?
XD
The "new" doesn't have the speed, power, and tenacity of Street Fighter 2.....not to mention the music! And the art style is just wrong. Somewhere down the line they just lost the narrative. At least the graphics now are prettier.
Good stuff
Graphics and sound changed, but playing moves techniques remains the same
the thumbnail is wrong, SF2 came out in 1991. How I know this: Guile is based on Stroheim and Polnareff from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, and in 1987 the manga hadn't yet introduced either character.
SF1 is from 1987.
Excellent video. Only criticism...where was the spinning piledriver sf2 zango.
I think what people are judging is based on the feeling of nostalgia, try putting sf5 out at that time, I'm sure no one will admit that the old version is better :)
How old are you?
No it's the feeling this game has , it makes u feel so special , at its time it was like nothing else well it still is 😄🤷♂️, even with the extreme graphics and unlimited power SF5 doesn't make u feel special like the original did .
cool
Pra mim o clássico é sempre o melhor
Bruh i always see everyone gush of sfa2 stages, kof stages and 3s stages but i never see people talk about how beautiful sfv stages are, damn.
I remember all this
...
the 3d backgrounds are soulless imo.
Classic SF is GOAT
Can you imagine SFV CE with SFII soundtrack and SFX?
It already has *some* of the soundtrack, it only needs the SFX
Me gusta más el juego clásico!!! Felicidades! Buen video
The classics got the catchy and memorable musics. Remember the SF2 intro music ??
There's something magical about the original game that the new versions just don't seem to have. Better graphics of course, but not the same vibe. In the original games the music stands out. Not so much in the newer games even with better technology.
Dat new joint?!? Da punches just don't crack the same way.
Street Fighter 2 Ken x Ryu duel had some magic in the air.
I remember that feeling of it's now or never, I'll beat him I promise
I put a lot of quarters in the arcade machines back in the days
I want Capcom to make new versions of every stage in SFA3
Old musics are better than new ones.
Super 👍👌💕
Is it just me or the classic music seems to pop more.
No Ken stage! And Dhalsim stage is too awful :(
BUuuuh , BUUUUUUUH ,bbBuuuuu🐘🤦🏽♂️
33 Years period is a big difference. Many other technologies also changed in this period.
It's a nitpick, but the thumbnail got the year wrong. SF2 came out in 1991 (SF1 was 1987). I agree, anyway - 29 years is still a long time in technology. A lot has changed.
I m might be biased because my teens were in the 90s, but the damn, the music was far better in SF2 than the elevator music in SF5. Still find the original unmatched.
Cant beat the original music in SF2. Although SF6 now let you change all the characters stage musics to whichever sf games you like. Makes it so much more enjoyable.
I find it odd that they didn't model an F-16 for Guile's stage like in the original.
It's an iconic fighter jet... replaced by a F/A-18 _look-a-like,_ how weird!
SF2 1992:Peace of mind
SF 2020: Noise pollution
There are over 500 comments so someone probably already said this but I'm not looking though all them to find it. Zangief, Chun Li and Dhalsim's SF2 stages are not represented in SF5, at least not from what was shown in this video. You recognized that Ken's and Blanka's were not there but you thought the other 3 were?
Yes
All of these stages and they still didn't add Ken's Stage from Street Fighter 2
Much prefer the original the simplicity of just the timing , the new version is far to busy for my liking
Nada supera um classico,1992
Alright, it's been probably said, but the Sagat level in the thumbnail shown isn't from 1987. The SF1 level didn't even look the same.
5:28 LOL Thats The Dude From Final Fight I Think His Name Was Two.P
in all the scenarios I miss the music. SF2 music in incredible
You can’t beat the old game music was the best
Awesome ❤️❤️❤️subs
