I appreciate what SFV was going for, it looks like a combination of Street Fighters II and IV. But SFVI feels like a true evolution for the series, and is so incredibly, readable. By sort of desaturating the characters quite a bit, it makes the colors of the effects really pop during Drive Rush and Drive Impact, and even seeing the ink fall out of characters when they are burned out. The 1,2,3 level system for Supers is also really simple but effective in power vs commitment level, not to mention the flashiness factor of ending a match with a level 3. Surprised no mention of the different animations for the Critical Art Level 3's when you are low on health.
SF6 is actually a downgrade, art looks dated, gameplay is scrubby and cheap, world tour looks gimmicky, characters are unbalanced. SFV had great gameplay, balance characters, bad netcode, even though it was basic it’s a great fighter.
Another fantastic comparison video. It would've been awesome if you added the extra comparison of comparing the classic costumes you can unlock in SF6 with the classic looks in SF5

Something I really like that wasn't mentioned (probably because it didn't appear in V) was the cool sound that parries make. It's unrealistic, but feels natural to the game.
Great video. I prefer the character animations, music and less flashiness of V still, but the overall graphics, lighting and gameplay of 6 are much better. I only played the beta and demo, but it was very fun.

I think a good and unique look for Street Fighter would have been if it went cel-shaded in its 3D iterations. I think that would have been more faithful to its 2D cartoony roots. I like how these look too but I think cel-shaded would suit Street Fighter so much better.

Probably because of the muscle definition. SF5 had the characters constantly looking shredded, so it was basically impossible to showcase pump. In SF6 they look waaay more "meaty" because thats what muscles look naturally, and when flexing and pumping (during specials and Supers) they increase in size and definition

Mnn something you mention is not true...the STANCES, SFV changed a lot stances from previous games and updated several designs, is where the updates design start showing up, like Cammy now wearing military straps and a more detailed leotard design, her stance is completely different to SFII or Alpha or 4, same with Bison, Ken, Vega, Nash, Rose, and many returning characters as many designs where updated, only Ryu, Chunli and Zangief remained with his classic look and some other later return with also a classic look like Rose, Oro and Akira, but the rest all sports new designs and stances or animations, SF6 how ever bring back some classic stances like Ken and Cammy are using her usual stances they have in SFII or 4 BUT with some new flair extra animations, Cammy style of animations for her fighting only show real changes in her throws her normals are back to be her classic for SF4 and before like her st HK and jumping HK with a small combinations of moves she have in 5 like her launcher target combo or her bacj HK is her st HK of V, I think her only new real animation move is her jumping HP that looks different to her usual jumping HP she usually have not really that new if you ask me (been main Cammy since SSFII so I can tell), that all I notice that I disagree, the rest is spot on, so far loving the SF6 experience and I love SFV so that's a huge accomplished from my part that I agree so far SF6 have improve most areas SFV lack, overall both are great SF games, but SF6 started with a BLAST compared with that lackluster launch of SFV.

I can't get into Street Fighter because I'm not a hardcore fighter gamer I do not like learning combo's but when they a nice story mode like in MK or Injustice I'm willing to buy it. Due to this reason I skipped SF V and most likely I'm going to skip this one as well.

SF6 is just SF5 on a better engine, essentially. I did prefer the V trigger system though. Could get a lot of variety out of it. The drive system is very user friendly but plays the same for everyone, and outside of timing and combos, its universal use is the same. V trigger, for me, really customized playstyles even further than the drive system.

@@DragonAge87 Seriously, this game is alive and well around the gamers I talk to. It's in constant rotation, and the game's pick up and play nature is REALLY appealing.

SF6 is just SF5 on a better engine, essentially. I did prefer the V trigger system though. Could get a lot of variety out of it. The drive system is very user friendly but plays the same for everyone, and outside of timing and combos, its universal use is the same. V trigger, for me, really customized playstyles even further than the drive system.

Honestly, I definitely prefer the much more cartoony look of Street Fighter 5. They're just so much more appealing to me.
