Awesome! Ryu's shinku hadoken really packs a powerful punch which is Ryu's most powerful move. In the Street Fighter games is shinku hadoken is a powerful fireball but in the crossover fighting games it's a powerful laser. It can also be very effective against M.Bison.
It's interesting. In Smash Ultimate, they made Ken's Final Smashed resemble his Hyper Combos from the vs. games. Yet Ryu's Final Smashes are more based off of his supers from the original series.
Ryu's character was partly inspired by a real Korean-Japanese fighter named Mas Oyama, the founder of Kyokushin Karate. There's a great Korean martial arts movie about him called, Fighter in the Wind (2004). Highly recommend.
Man, what was the deal with those odd super finish screens in the EX series? Can I get a regular sunburst effect rather than the asteroid that destroyed the dinosaurs?
The first time I saw the Shinku Hadouken was in X-Men VS Steet Fighter, so you can imagine my disappointment when I saw what it was really like in standard SF games.
Many times throughout the video I wanted to see the Hadouken projectile, willing to check which versions kept Ryu's hands inside it, but it was done too close to the opponent and I couldn't.
I wonder if that "hold down to super" mechanic from SxT will ever return to a game. I dont have a formed opinion about it, it just intrigues me for being so different.
I love that move, since it is identical to the Kamehameha in the crossover game. Shows that Ryu was inspired by Goku. It would be nice if the two fought.
