Great to see Kidshoryuken showing you around Akihabara. Best bet for buying cheaper Neo Geo carts is Yahoo Auctions, joining fan forums or swapping at game fairs (are there any in Morocco?). Anyway, I'm just so glad I got most of the games I wanted a few years back. All retro gaming prices have sky-rocketed, not just Neo geo stuff!

I have both the Japanese & NA NTSC AES consoles and 20+ official games. It’s gotten a bit more expensive to collect for with even the “common” games like Blues Journey, Ninja Combat & The Super Spy selling in the hundreds now. Don’t get me started on Ninja Commando, Viewpoint, Top Hunter, Spin Master and others selling for over $1,000+ USD. Used to be quite affordable buying Japanese copies but even those are pricey now. I still look but about it for a couple years LOL. TBPH even some Super Nintendo/Famicom & Genesis/MD games are just as pricey if not pricier than some NeoGeo AES games.

Nice video and congratz to making it to Japan.
..however buying Neo Geo AES titles in Japan is a useless goal nowadays unfortunately.
everybody knows the values and the retro shops in Akihabara are quite known as tourist traps today. Especially Super Potato has ridiculous prices for the heavy hitters.
as for low to mid level games most shops are somewhat equal in price. And you can still find a lot of good deals compared to outside of Japan!
Of course the atmosphere and experience there are a unique thing that makes it worthwile to go there.
however if people go to Akihabara or Den Den Town in Osaka looking for affordable Neo Geo games (compared to outside of Japan) they will be bitterly disappointed. Most lucrative deals are grabbed by resellers most of the time. And full set sales are hard without connections in Japan.

@NeoGeoNow the older games it did. Newer games have copy protection, so there's a certain way to burn them. I really don't know cause I had a guy who did that for me.
I knew a couple of other guys with neo cd back then. When one of us bought a game, the other one would copy it.
Also, I've been really stupid. There was a toyshop that went out of business. New toyshop didn't sell neo, so the a box full of games all between the 5 and 10 euros. I should have bought the whole box. There were 3 ironclad, a couple of neo turf master and metal slugs. Ironclad was 300 euros on eBay years ago, and it might be even more now.
