New game...do 10 push ups everytime I say "damage" haha I filmed this a while back but there were some issues with the edit and I felt I could do it more justice. So, here's the test you never knew you needed but have always wanted 👊🏻🥁
I took this exact Humes & Berg case with me on an international trip to France, and my drum was perfectly protected. Some of the best money I've ever spent!
I have a SKB cymbal case. My lift gate on my SUV came open and the cymbals slipped out on a major boulevard. By the time I was able to stop, close the lift gate and return to the scene, a guy was dragging the case out of the intersection. It had a definite indentation where a truck had driven right over it (rdavidr may have been in town). The cymbals were completely unharmed. By the time I was packing up after the gig, the case had returned to its original form. To this day, only a few scratches are visible.
Guy at the local drum shop recommended the humes cases, but in gray or any nonblack color. Helps them to stick out from other people’s cases if your on a multiband bill and plus will reflect some light if you leave them out in the sun.
Wow--good call on sticking out. I don't think I've owned a single case that wasn't black. Even for stuff that's not drum cases: pianos, brass instruments, guitars, basses. It soaks up heat.
I ordered a set of Humes & Berg cases after this originally aired. Absolutely great cases! I also have Ahead Armor bags for short trips but the H&B get used for far travel or flying
My snaredrum has been traveled a lot since the 80th in a drum case that looks like it's made from black cardboard. Never been dropped but it got some small scratches. The best "false security" is to attach some stickers with words like "Fragile", "Handle with care", etc.
Hey Stephen. Not relevant to this video but, I got a new snare recently and can't seem to get the buzz to go away, or at least get quieter when I hit the toms. Wasn't an issue with the old snare. I've tried tuning them to different tones which helped a little. My guess is I need better snare wires. Anyways any ideas or tips on this?
Humes and berg cases are the world best i took 2 snares on a flight from Los Angeles to London with no damage and 13 Cymbals to in my humes and berg cases only ones i trust and when airline lost my checked luggage in london when I got to lax humes and berg stepped up gave me bags and cases get my clothes stick and more home back to Norfolk England

He ain't wrong. Good tactic. Another thing I do is neon gaff tape across the top. Helps them stick out

My old H&B case left the truck at 80mph with a big Heavy Rock 9 in it. Not a ding on dent. Toms were in Fiber cases. 2 dented rims.
Oh man, really glad you had that case for the one at least!
@StephenTaylorDrums She's my precious

They were having to much fun with this one lol
You. Have. No. Idea.
My job is awesome.
Good timing, I’m buying a set of Enduro cases tomorrow for my kit. I still have my snare drum one from 1998.
We sell Hardcase and have had good success with them.
Dropped, thrown, crushed and flamed. Reminds me of a luggage commercial from the 70's!
Haha!
Do you not get Hardcase cases in the US? 'Cause I'd expect to see them in a test like this.
What about the Hardcase brand cases out of UK? Do you even get them in US?
A video so good you gotta release it again🔥🤘🏻🔥
Lol...there were some thing with the edit that really killed it and I felt it was an informative enough video I wanted to give it another shot

That intro was so unexpected lmao, rdavidr with a chainsaw is gonna stick with me forever
Awesome video, if you guys need an extra demolition tech let me know. 👍
Outstanding, gentleman
so humes and berg with a towel inside to stop any inner movement and you can take to a war zone
YASSSSS!!!!!
Either SKB or H+B for me. Pro-tec for soft cases.
I'm with ya
Man I would love hanging out with you guys you’re having to much FUN 😂🫠
Honestly, too much fun lol
You should have invited a Fed-Ex driver for testing.
Haha! I worked a short stint at UPS...you ain't wrong! Dang, now I wish I could do it over. That's a great idea
So... the Gator did the best job then? 🤔 Protected the snare perfectly while absorbing and taking all the damage 😂🤣
Hahaha...one way to look at it!!!
