  • I finally made my way up to Green River, UT to do some riding! I figured the Green River Dirtbike Rally might be a great opportunity to meet some new riders and check out some new trails. Well, the rally logistically didn't go as planned and then Friday night I got food poisoning. The trip was pretty much a bust, BUT on the bright side we had fun while we were there. We did ride a few really fun trails; the waterfall trail, orange trail, and the red trail. No, we didn't ride 5 Miles of Hell. Not this trip. Next time for sure, but it just wasn't in the cards this time.

Our crew will be in Moab this weekend, probably riding San Rafael on Sunday... Its a 3 day ride, Kane Creek \ Pritchett on Saturday and we'll likely wrap it up on Monday at Whitewash. Last year we rode Kane Creek to Behind the Rocks, this was our fav. so we all want ride it again this year.

Utah seems like an endless playground for dirt bikes. Only been once, need to find my way back there. Awesome video (minus the food poisoning of course!). ✌

Some parts were a little techy for sure, but not too bad. Just difficult enough to be fun. Thanks man!

That was hectic! I have done one trip to MoAb but it did not get nearly that gnarly. Nice video.

Yeah that red trail is very similar to 5 Miles of Hell. Talk about hectic! haha Fun trail though. Thanks, Robert.

A little bit but mostly because it tires you out. There's almost no smooth sections to rest. It was an awesome trail.

The sage riders motorcycle club web page has a story explaining the plaque about the helicopter lift. I think the title is Mork of the desert.
They are the ones who put the paint marks down on those trails and also out at whitewash and maybe the whole area. Must be fun being the person walking carrying the gallon of paint and a brush and I would guess somebody is walking ahead of them with a broom to wipe the dirt off the old mark.

Yeah I thought of whoever put all that work into painting all those spots! 😆

I should have watched the video all the way through before the first comment. The dip where you got hung up much shorter trailer and a motorhome for me. But it did yank the trailer plug out the next trip up there on smart careful. Worth going back to look on the maps and come in through Castle Dale I think it's the name or the West. So much worth coming back to at chimney Rock/woodside. Whitewash excellent north of Delta is Cherry Creek excellent.

We will be hack. My buddies rode that area but I couldn't because I was still sick back at the trailer with food poisoning. They raved about Woodside. I wish I could have ridden more of the area. We loved the color trails but the rest of the trip ended up being a bust unfortunately. 7+ hr drive in massive 50+ mph head winds too...while towing. 😆👎

Sorry about all the crap that went down, at least you got to have a little fun.

Yeah it was a bit of a bummer, but I agree. We were having a blast while it was good. Red trail was super fun.

Also, if you head out that way again, hit me up. There's so much great riding in that area. Woodside/Chimney Rock is a blast and lots of trails there too. Next time you're out at 5MOH, ride red trail to Orange trail to VJ trail and come back to red trail. It makes an awesome lollipop loop.

@@OldManEnduro well that was the plan. lol But Woodside was a bust too. The rest of the guys rode there for about an hour and said it was amazing. We'll link up and head back. 👊

No thanks. Lol I have a Sprinter that works awesome. The big dumb trailer allowed us 4 to be pretty damn comfortable this trip though. 👍
