No reason to apologize!! You just reacted to the best singer in the world, he`s unbelievable. Completely normal to be shocked.
Last year Dimash was on a talent show called The World Best. But after his first performance. He quite made the judge's mad but he told them that he wanted to let other talented kids a chance to be heard .So that was one thing I will never forget his unselfish and love for the other Talent on the show. He would have won hand's down

@@Blujazz26 That would be Rupaul. He said Dimash quitting was "BS" (his own words). The show's host, James Corden, was the only one who seemed to understand Dimash's reasoning and handled the whole thing with kindness and grace.
I respected him even more after he quit that show
Dimash asked before agreeing to go on Worlds Best if he would have to compete against children. In Kazakhstan they believe in promoting children and adults not competing against them. He was told NO he would not be. They used him ("man with 6 octaves" etc.etc) for ratings. I'm ashamed of the US for treating him that way!! Once he found out there were 2 young children he was going against in the finals. He stood before them and graciously bowed out of the competition to give the 2 young children their chance. The US Judges were horrible to him!!! They cut and edited his songs horribly. I always discourage anybody from watching any of their videos. They don't deserve the views or ratings. He took their badmouthing honorably and professionally. I have SOOOO much respect for him and his values and standing up for them! ❤💜💙💚
He actually almost has a 7 octave range.
To put that in comparison, he sings lower than bass in Opera... and higher longer sustained whistle notes than Mariah Carey.

Who has more voice control and octaves than Dimash. I do not care for this kind of music but I listen every chance I get. I am more into country with its nasal twang.

I don't know if it happens to them but every time I see Dimash it's overwhelming, all the mystique that overflows is blazing, it's perfect. To consider Dimash a "Singer" is definitely insulting him. He is something else, something that we cannot explain. Definitely something divine. Every time I look at him I feel and think inside me "Lord, I am not worthy of his presence, but a melody of his will suffice to heal me ..." In a world so shocked today, his voice is like the light of hope at the end from the tunnel ...

The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique (traditional cazaq singing, called Joqtaw), is a funeral lament, paying homage to the dead vocalist: Brilliant! The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio. The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebyev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

It’s fun to watch someone who’s never seen Dimash. But it’s like someone fed you a straight line at the beginning where you said “I love those low notes...”
Something to note in watching Dimash or Angelina is that, although their voices are incredible, both of them commit to the lyrics totally. Even though you don’t understand the language from Dimash, you get 100% of the emotion. There are many spectacular Dimash performances, but his first real exposure to the world is still my favorite, it’s called “SOS”, and no one had really heard of him before he stunned everyone with a mind-blowing performance. You can go wrong listening to Dimash, but SOS is a must see.
"Le S.O.S. d'un terrrien en détresse" will always have a special place in my heart, too.

Don’t worry you acted completely normal for a first Dimash reaction!😊 A bit of background info on this song... The band he performed with sang the original version. The pianist composed it. The lead singer has sadly died and the “warble” bit in the middle is a lament to him. The guy in the white shirt standing at the end is a famous Russian composer who came out of retirement after watching this to work with Dimash. He’s composed many songs since this for him and accompanies him on the piano. The works are masterpieces. Olimpico, Passione, Love is like a dream, to name just a few. "Dai myne") and the venue was the Sochi (Russia) New Wave concert hall, at an annual music festival there. The date was August 2018. The initiator and organiser of the festival is the Russian Maestro, the celebrated Igor Yakovlevich Krutoi. When Dimash had finished Maestro Yakovlevich in his white shirt, in the first row was the first to jump up and applaud. That's when Dimash's and Maestro Krutoi's fruitful and productive cooperation began. The two have created and released a masterpiece upon a masterpiece. Just to name a few: "The Love of Tired Swans," "Mademoiselle Hyde," "Ascoilta la voce (a.k.a. "Znai" [Know]), "Lyubov pohozhaya na son" (a.k.a. "Love Is Like a Dream"), "Passione," "Olimpico" (a.k.a. "Ogni pietra").

@@jonchicoine not bored, but maybe a mixture of concentration, being serious and sad: it was their band's song 20 years ago and their singer has died since. they all are from the same country and i was told that the (to our ears) strange singing is traditional mourning for that singer. thus of course they are behaving differently from what you expect when you don't know the backstory of that song and performance.
