Dimash is addictive. And there’s so much more. And that’s without hearing him live. You will enjoy Across Endless Dimensions from his TH-cam channel.

I'm also a metalhead (and rock lover), my favorite bands have always been Pantera, Meshuggah and Pearl Jam, and my favorite singer had always been young Phil Anselmo - til I found out about Dimash haha He's not only extremely skilled with an immensely big range, there's sth special about him :) I kind of became addicted to him. I'm still a metalhead and will always be, but nowadays my daily music dosage is rather 30% metal and rock and 70% Dimash :)

Metalhead for the last 40 of my 52 years on the big ol rock, and I thought I had heard the pinnacle with Halford and miljenko, but Dimash is on a whole other level!!! • @jeremypacailler
    @jeremypacailler 4 ปีที่แล้ว +68

He actually almost has a 7 octave range.
A1 (lowest chest) to D8 which is 6 octaves 5 semitones.
If you include growl he can go down to a F#1. 6 octaves 8 semitones.
Tenors don't usually sing in the lower half of the 2nd octave... which he smashes :D
To put that in comparison, he sings lower than bass in Opera. The lowest note usually is a D2..
...and higher longer sustained whistle notes than Mariah Carey. Highest note she's sung was a G#7..
Also he actually came to the US to NY last December. He filled Barclays center :)
Anyways, let's compile a nice list for you.
My top 3 favorite live performances:
Love is Like a Dream (balad) [Russian] - Sung at the Kremlin
    th-cam.com/video/xLEQzfqO_l0/w-d-xo.html
Screaming (pop song edit: composed for him, one of his first singles) [English] - best version from a show called Idol hits
    th-cam.com/video/UBgueGdgh4g/w-d-xo.html
Ogni Pietra (popera) [Italian] - Sung for the European Olympic Games
    th-cam.com/video/GxFm0gmSZbQ/w-d-xo.html
    Other good stuff!
    Highest freaking note ever:
Unforgettable Day at Gakku Concert (original song he composed when he was young)
    th-cam.com/video/u52XDilf628/w-d-xo.html
    Sad:
Daybreak (lyrics based on a true story about a child that was saved from a crash by his parents sacrificing their lives) [Chinese]
    th-cam.com/video/2kZTJjLoD64/w-d-xo.html
Autumn Strong [first performance in Mandarin]
Link provides backstory of performance and song.
    th-cam.com/video/FXQ58U-Eddg/w-d-xo.html
    Rock:
The Show Must Go On (Queen) - For The Singer 2017
    th-cam.com/video/9vICn5RQAI8/w-d-xo.html
    Alien:
Diva Dance (from the movie the 5th element)
    th-cam.com/video/o5zMupUOgQo/w-d-xo.html
    Folk Songs:
Adai + Daididau (Kazakh folk song about the countries herritage) [Kazakh] - he's playing the dombra
    link provides backstory to song
    th-cam.com/video/tOs7rkn36L0/w-d-xo.html
Samaltau (cool song about warriors traveling) [Kazakh]
Also please look up the backstory to this song before watching :)
    th-cam.com/video/1NkoFc-bQ_s/w-d-xo.html
    Movie Soundtrack:
Eternal Memories (for the movie Battle of Memories) [Mandarin]
    th-cam.com/video/LFp3FT1DNd4/w-d-xo.html
Across Endless Dimensions (for the movie Creators: The Past, not released yet... rock vibe) [English] - official music video
    th-cam.com/video/9efIWFhD8a4/w-d-xo.html
    Dimash plays instrument(s):
Adagio - (pop song by Lara Fabian, he plays piano) [English]
    th-cam.com/video/c0RAQyy08Os/w-d-xo.html
Random thing during his concert: drums
    th-cam.com/video/uYsDgFk8FFc/w-d-xo.html
    Duets:
Ti amo cosi - (trio with Lara Fabian, Aida Garifullina, opera) [Italian]
    th-cam.com/video/XaQFfqC3lnU/w-d-xo.html
    Original Songs:
My Swan - (very sad love song) [Kazakh]
    th-cam.com/video/lK46Lv1th_I/w-d-xo.html

Thing is, he was rumored to go higher as well. Supposedly his range was analysed by the producers of the
Singer talent show he participated in 3 years ago and according to them, the highest note he showed there was G#8, as far as I remember, which would be world record and would give him more than 7 octaves... but who really knows? lol

Wonderful reaction! Subscribed - As many will tell you - this song only shows a small amount of his talents. Virtualy every song you listen to from Dimash will thrill and surprise. Tour Love, We Are One and Across Endless Dimensions are recent gems in his portfolio. Sinful Passion, Hello (Lionel Ritchie cover) , Unforgettable Day (Gakku concert) and Ogni Pietra (Igor Krutoy version - not the Fan cam version) are older wonders

Hey there 😊 yeah, he has the world's biggest vocal ramge 😊 and many vocal coaches call him best singer in the world 😊
in case you'd like to hear some more:
other songs from the same talent show 3 years ago:
      th-cam.com/video/anKmU1J0l9g/w-d-xo.html
th-cam.com/video/ul3kpE1qcow/w-d-xo.html (this is Queen's Show Must Go On, unfortunately he didn't speak any English back then and had to learn and rearrange the song within 2 days, so his English was really bad back then 😄but the vocals are amazing as always 😊)
      Some newer stuff:
More from his main genre (classical crossover):
      th-cam.com/video/8QtI_fpTIxc/w-d-xo.html (in Italian)
      th-cam.com/video/W9FlDMCo8LU/w-d-xo.html (in Russian)
But he also sings in many other genres, e.g.
neoclassical music (I really recommend that one)
      th-cam.com/video/dkPS6t84qg4/w-d-xo.html
      classical music:
      th-cam.com/video/18li0andhmU/w-d-xo.html
      folk
      th-cam.com/video/Ei-wB-QtQa4/w-d-xo.html (Kazakh folk)
th-cam.com/video/zo8Oe90qZh4/w-d-xo.html (Kazakh folk-rock, he had a slight cold during that concert, but it's still great)
      Russian estrada:
      th-cam.com/video/xLEQzfqO_l0/w-d-xo.html
in case you'd like to have some music videos (in his main genre):
      th-cam.com/video/92r47QSRYBI/w-d-xo.html
      th-cam.com/video/aD6mxowLhi8/w-d-xo.html
th-cam.com/video/9efIWFhD8a4/w-d-xo.html (that's his newest song btw, theme song of the Italian-French-US SciFi movie Creators, I really like that song 😊)
Oh, and here's his so far highest note, a C#8 glissando up to a held D8, that was only one semitone "lower" than world record back then 😊
      th-cam.com/video/-jfFPZq7n-E/w-d-xo.html
In case you'd like to hear a 6 octave performance:
th-cam.com/video/8T3J9TqU-QM/w-d-xo.html (it's a mix of a traditional Chinese song and his rendition of the Diva Dance (the blue alien song from the movie The 5th Element)
Oh, and this is his Masked Singer performance 😄 that one's also cool 😊

You gotta try "Across Endless Dimensions" by him coz it has a hint of symphonic metal in it!!
Before Dimash I listened to Viskei/jrock and western metal (still listen to em sometimes) so no worries about discovering a completely different genre!! Dimash is his own genre btw!! No one sings like him! And he sings literally everything! All genres! 😆😆😆
Btw he can growl and does vocal fry too!! You have seen nothing yet! Believe me! 😁😁
P.s. on a metal side, I suggest trying Japanese visual kei's band like The Gazette! 😁 try their song "Filth in the beauty"! You won't be disappointed!

Greetings of Peace to everyone…! And to all the personnel’s who worked with artists, and all others who did the translation, produced videos and uploaded it on line. My heartfelt gratitude to the reactors worldwide for your great help and service, so that artists can improve and or develop their talents and gifts at their best in order to serve better the listening public.
I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it and to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition.
The discipline, dedication and high ideals in pursuing his singing career to the best of his ability the best he can is worth imitating not only in our individual professional fields but also in living our day to day life. Hope his listeners around the world especially the young will learn something from his optimistic views in pursuing his career, his persistency, creativity and perseverance. His labors and hard work are now indeed bearing fruits in abundance. And so my heartfelt congratulations to Dimash and to his family and all others who supported him all the way through as a musician. For me as a listener it counts a lot the personal disposition of the artist and the content of its music.
The power and beauty of his voice is so incredible even at his lowest and highest notes. Also the fact that, he is able to sing his music with ease and comfort in different languages and in various voices is really amazing. But some others also cannot handle and cannot even believe the power, the strength and the heights of his voice…and they said oooh… is Dimash human..?
I think It’s just a natural reaction that people wonder and probably surprise by it or cannot even believed it at all, it’s because it is beyond human expectation. But I believed and I’m convinced that Dimash 20 year’s cultivation of his voice and talents is no tricks and no magic at all; though he is gifted but his hard work and years of practice and experiences proves it to us and to the world … that indeed it is possible.
My other concern whenever I listen to music is that, I usually ask: WHAT MESSAGE THIS MUSIC BRINGS ..? TO THE WORLD..? TO PEOPLE..?
Although Dimash music are very good, full of content and meaning but I like most this music, because for me it speaks a message of truth, values and realities of human life. I feel that, it is not just enough to give my thumbs up to like this music, but I’m deeply moved to share something more about the richness and deeper meaning of it.
With due respect to the composers, writers and singers of these music for whatever their purpose and intention would be, will always take precedence. The thoughts that I will be sharing below about these music is only the fruits of my personal reflections based on the things that I highly valued and on how I perceived it myself and the message of this song that reaches out to me.
For all the readers of these reflections and commentaries about this piece of music performed by Dimash. If you think this is all helpful for the general public you can share it to others, I do really appreciate it. Or maybe you might have a different reflection experience of this music than mine; you can always revisit this music or other music of Dimash on line. Your own personal comments and critique to this commentary and reflection is very much welcome and highly appreciated too.
Song of Dimash in French “S.O.S D’UN TERRIEN EN DETRESSE” (Ester Rabi’s Commentary & Reflection on this song: I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death)
STORY BEHIND THE SONG: Credit to Daniel Balavoine the original artist of this song who had a sudden death in a helicopter accident in 1986. Later, it was covered by Gregory Lemarchal, a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse” who at all odds won the 4th series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health and became an overnight success in France but had a shorter career, for he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23. Recently it was unbelievably covered by Dimash and from time to time Dimash sung it in memory of his great friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. That is why this song is sad mention in some of the lyrics…A soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress. .
Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our human life’s , but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith.
For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discern well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity or a means of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with great humility and discernment.
Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed up of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God.
Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. Likewise, if we are open to grace it helps us become vulnerable, sensitive and compassionate to others. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. We should remember that we are only strangers and pilgrims on this earth” St. Paul reminded us that “the sufferings of this present time are nothing to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us later.
Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. The hope of heaven gives us joy even in the sufferings of this life. In God’s plan, human beings were created for holiness and eternal life with him. But through the original sin that enters into human lives, our nature has been wounded, and we experience suffering and death. This was not part of God’s original plan, but it is part of the reality of our human lives now.
Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives, and we will face God’s judgment. Death creates in us a feelings and emotion of fear, separation, sadness and pain. Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end, we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. The truth is… in front of death we are all poor and powerless on it.
If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. But In God’s plan, however, death is not the end of everything, but the border that enables every human being to enter the endless place of eternity. For all those who have done their best to respond to God’s grace, to die is to cross from an imperfect type of existence into a new and fuller life lived in God’s presence. Often we feel the greatest misfortunes, when death struck in a person, depriving him or her greatest treasures a person can possess which is life itself. Death is such a peaceful event in our life if we die in the state of grace, meaning if we died reconciled with God and at peace with others.
Death is the end of our earthly life. Our lives are measured by time, as with all other living beings on earth. Since it is unknown to all of us the time of our death, therefore, it is best that we should prepare at all times, otherwise we are being caught by surprise of not being ready when God comes to take us to be with Him forever in our eternal home in bliss.

Thank you for your reaction. Welcome to the world and dimension that is Dimash! I am also a "metal head" and I am old. My first concert was Jethro Tull in the 70's. LOL I continue to listen to Metallica, Tool, Korn, etc. but I found Dimash almost three years ago, and have listened to him non stop since. He is a wonder, and sings every genre. His range is incredible. He sings in twelve different languages, and play seven (that we know of) instruments. He has been studying music and voice since he was 5 years old, and continues to this day. He says as long as he sings, he will learn. He has his college degree in music, is now studying for his masters in music composition, and is scheduled to finish that degree this year. He says he will continue on to receive his doctorate.
Dimash speaks Kazakh (his native language), Russian, and English fluently. His English is still "broken" sometimes, but he only started learning about three years ago. His fans lovingly call it Dinglish, and we hope it never really changes! He also speaks a limited amount of Mandarin, but is studying that. He says it is very difficult to learn. Even more, he as a person is is the most humble, caring, loving, and giving person. He is a humanitarian, and philanthropist. What he wants for the world is peace, unity, and love. He is not afraid to voice that either. Continue your journey into his music. He will always surprise, and doesn't disappoint.
Please be sure to subscribe to Dimahs's TH-cam channel. There is lots of music there to listen and react to, including many of his full concerts around the world. His birthday is May 24th and his Dears (what he calls his fans) are trying to get his TH-cam channel to one million subscribers. He deserves it! Stay safe and healthy! Blessings to you!
