Even if a person is not a Dear you can't help but be in awe and there's just no denying his greatness
We all completely understand when you're at a loss for words because words like amazing, incredible and stunning just aren't sufficient to describe his vocal abilities🤯

Dimash is the best.
You know that Dimash was invited to this show as a "wildcard" in 2017. This Chinese show features well known Chinese artists that compete with each other. To go to a country that you have no connections, do not know the language and to compete with the country's well known artists is bold and brave! The man they show pumping his fist after Dimash is done is his dad. Dad was hidden until the song was done as a surprise....to see Dimash look over and see his dad was precious. He runs and picks his dad (Dimash is 6'3") up and hugs him big time!! What a sweet time for Dimash! This song is by Vitas- I had never heard of him and when Dimash performed this song on the show (Dimash performed it in his home country for years with no problem), Vitas refused to allow Dimash to sing it again. So let's compare.....Lara Fabian hears Dimash sing her song- she wants to meet him, sings with him and writes lyrics for his newest song. Vitas??? He is so insecure- he forbids Dimash to sing this song ever again. Now that I have heard of Vitas (thanks to Dimash) I frankly will never listen to him. Grandma Dear Deb from Texas
Is there a source somewhere that says Vitas refuse to allow Dimash to sing the song? It's such a nice and playful song! Also, does he get paid for being a contestant? I heard that he didn't win and came second. But does second runner up get money?
I absolutely love how he flirts up there and the surprise on his cute face when he realizes he dad was there. So adorable.
His talent can’t be matched. He has the highest range, ability to sing in multiple genres, great resonance, pitch, breathing technique, stage presence, dynamics, tones, mic control and he can also dance and rap! Not just all of those things but he’s a great composer and transforms songs into his own. Makes me laugh when people hate and say he just shows off. Dimash himself has said he uses high notes to convey emotion. He can also sing very softly and quietly though. Like autumn strong

Dear Gitana, the man that did the fist pump at the end of the song is his Father. He went up in key 3 times and added the staccato the second time. And it looked like you noticed all the flirting he did with the women. There is a miles long line of us women ready to marry him and give birth to his children. I hope your wrist heals soon especially since you hurt it again yesterday reacting to him.
His cheeky gaze, playing with his audience and having fun on stage... I love this performance so much and it’s always fun to watch reactors hearing it the first time. 😄

In the original song , Vitas high notes were ( C6 & C6 ) then he did a key change in the end and went up to ( C#6 ) .
Dimash high notes were ( C6 & C6 ) then he did the first key change and went up to ( C#6 ) then he did the second key change and went up to ( D6 )
Then he did the third key change and went up to ( Eb6 ) .
Plus , Dimash had consistent vibrato all the way through and perfect operatic slides up and down the notes and the stacatto part near the end is extremely hard to do .

This song was my introduction to Dimash three years ago and I have been totally addicted to Dimash from that minute on. I would.. no I will buy any CD he puts out and I am just waiting for his return to the U.S.A to do more concerts. Most amazing experience.

With all the fireworks of his freaky high notes, what tends to be forgotten is just how masterfully and warmly he tells the story of this song. His choice to sing it with a twinkle in his eye is a fascinating one, as the lyrics are very dark and a bit scary.. His stage presence and acting in this performance are sublime!

the man they first showed at 3:32, and then a few times later on, is Dimash's dad. It was a surprise for Dimash, who was really happy when he saw him at the end, but said that he would not have been so 'cheeky' if he had known he was watching. The female singer they first show at 4:55 is Sandy Lam (who 'won' the competition) there is another video showing the reactions of the competitors and she could not reach the high notes he sang! He is one of a kind..check out his version of Hello (Lionel Richie). He has a way of making himself a part of the song and drawing you in to be a part of the song, too. This is what makes him different beside the unbelievable vocals. Watch his hands as he sings. He is conducting his voice, the music and even causing the crowd to feel what he wants them to feel. He takes total command of the stage and that is why it never gets old, he is always improving and taking on the character of the song and making you a participant. I am not a cryer but I have had tears streaming down my face listening to some of his pieces. I tell myself it's just a song but he drawls you in to force you to feel. So, glad you are enjoying this unique talent. Say, Hi to Donovan.

This is the opening song of the concert in front of 35,000 people from all over the world. Take it from me, it'll Blow your Mind. This is from the second episode of the Chinese 'Singer 2017' programme, where Dimash became known internationally; he was 22 and the youngest-ever contestant at that time. All the episodes (13 or 14 of them, I think) are amazingly good quality and worth watching. Some people are suggesting 'Autumn Strong' aka 'Late Autumn' (which is a beautiful, emotional song - but you need to go to Gloria Wu's channel to understand the background), or you could take a look at Confessa+Diva Dance which is also from Singer 2017.

You're right, Dimash just goes (ahem) "nuts" on this one - and yes, the backstage reactions say it all! As another Dear has probably mentioned already, the reason you cannot find any later performances of «Opera 2» from Dimash, is because the original artist's team got their knickers all in a twist about it - which I'm sure had absolutely no connection whatsoever with the fact that our Di did it so much better, did it LIVE, and easily modulated up three times - as opposed to Vitas' obvious struggles when going up "just" the once...!
