22 seconds... Sometimes it seems to me, that Dimash takes a breath during the song solely in order not to shock the audience too much. He himself does not need it at all... He could inhale, sing the whole song, go for a walk, have a cup of tea and exhale in the evening just before the bedtime😊 22 секунды... I'm from the U.S. and I completely agree with you. On the World's Best, it was embarrassing to watch the judges reaction when Dimash passed up the title because he was lied to about children competing against him. His integrity and moral compass is wonderful. I heard that in Kazakhstan, this is the way things are, as they should be everywhere! I found a video of his Mother and Father singing a duet when they were younger, and it was so beautiful!
This is one of my favs of his but this dude needs a Priest there's like 15 different people possessing his vocal chords! His lower register notes aren't empty and neither are his lower register belts! Even his guitarist was staring at him like did we practice that or did I miss that day...he's a lot!! 🤯
He actually was on an American Show, The World's Best. But they were really nasty to him when quit before the finals because he didn't want to compete against children. You don't do that in his culture which he had told the producers beforehand but they lied to him about it so he would sign up. So when he found he was up against some kids in the finals (the contestants were kept apart until that point ) he quit and explained himself very respectfully in his last episode. They cut his the whole thing a way that made him look really bad and the judges made some nasty comments. The treated him like crap. They also butchered his performances into 2 min. bits which is crazy bc Dimash is all about the build up. So don't watch it, everybody is trying to forget about how shitty they treated him.

But I think it was a rough experience for him - not the whole lying thing as much as people just being straight up rude and insulting to his face publicly and in an pprofessional environment. Americans often are pretty crass in the language they use and like to tell everyone how they feel when they feel it. For someone who isn't used to this kind of behavior it must have been a total shock and extremely disappointing to him. Especially since he treats everybody with so much respect. I still think he would love to be as successful in Europe and the US as he's in China and hasn't given up on it. He has proven he won't sell his soul for it which is a good mindset for any further attempts.

Dimash was on The World's Best in the USA this year. His performances were cut to much shorter renditions. When he was pitted against two child performers, he made a radical decision. The judges (especially RuPaul) treated him with such distespect. I believe the show's ratings were very low as a result. I will post a link for you.

Sad to say, he *did* make an appearance on an American television show (one of which I've never heard) - "World's Best" earlier this year. He made the stipulation with show producers that he not be in competition against children, but after his initial performance, he discovered that the producers lied to him (he met a young girl he knew backstage and realized what had happened), and withdrew from the competition because of his convictions. So much for an appearance on American television blowing us out of the water, huh?

Dimash has a 7+ octave range. He has studied since childhood with the finest vocal teachers. He also plays many instruments, including the folk instruments of Kazakhstan, his country. He sings in 5 languages and made his American debut in NYC this past December. The world knows him as the greatest singer ever. Think what he will be like in 5 years. There is no one like him, past or present.

I have been watching Dimash for 2 years and this song gave me CHILLS for the FIRST time. I was so excited.
Dimash released his first solo album yesterday and it went platinum in 37 SECONDS!!! Triple platinum in one hour, and 5 times platinum in 24 hours!!! Who on earth does that?
Dimash was on The World's Best in the USA this year. His performances were cut to much shorter renditions. When he was pitted against two child performers, he made a radical decision. The judges (especially RuPaul) treated him with such distespect. I believe the show's ratings were very low as a result. I will post a link for you.

Sad to say, he *did* make an appearance on an American television show (one of which I've never heard) - "World's Best" earlier this year. He made the stipulation with show producers that he not be in competition against children, but after his initial performance, he discovered that the producers lied to him (he met a young girl he knew backstage and realized what had happened), and withdrew from the competition because of his convictions. So much for an appearance on American television blowing us out of the water, huh?

Dimash has a 7+ octave range. He has studied since childhood with the finest vocal teachers. He also plays many instruments, including the folk instruments of Kazakhstan, his country. He sings in 5 languages and made his American debut in NYC this past December. The world knows him as the greatest singer ever. Think what he will be like in 5 years. There is no one like him, past or present.
