- In this video I go over the burble / crackle tune for the wrx. My tune is provided by Ron over at phatbotti tuning. Today I will show you how to get your wrx to backfire more and have more or less cracks and pops depending on what you want.
YOU WILL NEED A CUSTOM CRACKLE TUNE THIS IS NOT THE STOCK TUNE!

my pop and crack tune consists of my GD 02 sensor dying and the car just panic flooding fuel into the cylinders. at exactly 3K rpm i also do this and it cracks and pops lol.
-btw I am getting a new o2 sensor lol.

Burble tunes are add ons for a reason. You use it once a week for fun not full time
About to install the nameless j pipe and ebcs. I have the perrin tvg deletes but I don't want to my wrx to go on limp mode. Gotta find a tune shop first

Here's a better trick that I use, barely rest your foot on the gas pedal and you get just as many pops and bangs sometimes I get the occasional gunshot pop that jumps the shit out of me lol

Pretty sure you dont have to tap it again and again , just rest your foot at that spot without moving it , most tunes work like that…
This tune certainly didn't work like that. Trust me. I had tons of people message me saying they tried that and it didn't work and asked how mine worked so well. I discovered the tapping through trial and error and it was most effective

this is an old trick you could do when cars had throttle cables for the throttle body. My R32 GTR if I do this while the engine is hot, I'll shoot massive fireballs and gunshots

I've ran my 3k crackle tune from Clark for two years straight haha no problems. I did get pulled over about 4 months ago and just blamed it on not having mufflers, got a fix it ticket and not bothered since but I do still have the stock mufflers on.
And honestly never had problems with police they didn't care. Dcnr is who pulled me over at a state park.
@@SaiyanEuc its still pretty loud behind the car with stock mufflers the pops just aren't very loud in the car lol
I would blame it on a bad O2 sensor dumping extra gas when off the throttle and say you have an appointment to get it fixed
I believe it's pretty well accepted it destroys the catalytic converter if you have one. Personally I hate the obnoxious popping. I wouldn't mind a mellow burbly rumbky deep sound but the gun shot popping like this is just stupid.
I mean he’s doing the gun shot pops on purpose if you watched the vid lol. He showed when you just drive normal and let off the gas it doesn’t pop like crazy, only when you keep feathering the gas.
What make it pop does ecu give more fuel wich can not combust completely in cylinder then pop out in exhaust pipe or does it retard the spark.????
Jesus Christ ! Thats loud!! I herd that tune finally in person on the highway from a civic and my girlfriend was having panic attack thinking our car was blowing up LOL ! When really it was the dudes civic that was 5 car lengths ahead of us! Trust me.. these tunes are loud !! I love it but its very loud !

Does it work with stock tune just a catback
Won't work with stock tune unless you Rev the car and slip the clutch you might get a backfire or two out of it. But this is a custom protune

How can i get that tune?
You will have to get an etune, protune, or ots map that includes the crackle tune. If you contact Ron Watson At Phatbotti Tuning you can get any of those from him. He offers a OTS map that doesn't require any tuning and is a cheaper option. But he offers crackle maps with his ots maps. If your car isn't tuned yet this will wake the car up and make it faster whether its modded or stock and the crackle will be a bonus.

He has the same burble tune as me except he has an OTS from Ron and I have a Custom ETune from him. But they sound and pop the same. My mod list id in the description.

are you down piped? and with the tune can you get it with just stage 1+ and muffler delete axle back
Yes I'm running a 1320 performance downpipe. And yeah you can get it from most tuners, all you need is an Accesport.
Don’t get a crackle tune if you’re using the stock dp.
