my downpipe is the Killer B catless downpipe. No cat. I did tune for the appropriate mods on the car, and a "burble tune" was also added, however its not a tune specifically for flames, it just happens to shoot flames too.
currently tuning for E85, but I will FORSURE get TONS of videos once im done with tuning and head back out to mexico, got some special things coming up. Car is quite different from a few months ago hehe
So I have a muffler delete right now and my catless downpipe is getting shipped soon. I got a 15 wrx and going stage 2+. Do you think I will be able to shoot flames after this setup or will I need a resonator delete?
@@jeff346 I haven't had any issues with my catless setup currently. I also live in Texas where its warm 99% of the time, so boost creep is not so much of an issue. If you worry about it, you can always install external wastegates and not worry about the creep anymore.
Have you not ever had issues w boost creep with the catless downpipe? I’m thinking about getting one. I live in Oklahoma and we pretty much don’t get too cold like Texas
oh absolutely! its tons louder. I actually just installed a new exhaust today, and I'll be making a video for you guys on that soon. With some sound comparisons :)
What fuel are you running on this tune? Just purchased my tune from Ambot with a catless J pipe, muffler deletes and intake curious to see if it shoots flames on 94 octane
So I have a 2016 wrx. No cats and muffler delete. I have a j pipe. Last thing on is my res. Will taking it off get it to sound like this? J pipe has been tuned to for check engine not on. When I shift it gunshots already and when I let off gas . Will doing a res delete allow it to burble when gas is off and shoot? I already shoot flames . Just looking for that noise that shoots constantly letting off gas
Ryzez no not really, you can get a burble tune to make it pop more but that’s about it. Otherwise it’s a very similar sound. Slightly deeper, probably more drone, and maybe slightly more rasp
at the time this video was recorded, The exhaust is a Killer B catless down pipe, and ETS Extreme non-resonated catback. Everything is there in the description.
while we do have different engines, and it wont quite sound the same, almost every catless downpipe is the same. 3inch straight stainless. pretty simple, other than that, its mostly just quality differences. they'll sound the same
Whp?Edit: BTW I had also commented about 8 months ago about me thinking of buying a wrx because of this video, got me one last June, now I’m fbo, jr tuned and know a lot about these cars
at the time of this video, I was not very modded at all. Stage 2 really on 93. Made maybe 280whp. Now the car is nearly FBO and makes almost 380-400Whp
What else has been done to it. I have a 2018 DGM catless and straight piped with CAI and I'm just curious what mine sounds like at a drive by or outside the car. I'm curious if mine shoots flames. Just sucks you never know when youre the only one who drives your car with no go pro lol
its basically stage 2, meaning intake, catless downpipe, tgv and egr deletes, EBCS, and tune. also an ets extreme catback. the first way I found out I shot flames was a friend behind me saw them and told me. then they were able to get video of it.
@@wrxalex5217 yea that’s what I want like to be able to build a car to like 400 or 500 and since it’s a rally car that block is gonna be good for around like 550 or more lol

I couldn’t even fathom if this had e85. Those flames are disgusting bro! Goals.
Hahaha Thanks man! I will be able to show you what they look like on ethanol very soon!!
hands down the best wrx on youtube
thank you
This thing is rowdy af 🥵 I’m completely convinced to get one now lol

Still have a down pipe with a cat or no? Also did you do a tune for the flames and pops

What exhaust cat back or catless
So I have a muffler delete right now and my catless downpipe is getting shipped soon. I got a 15 wrx and going stage 2+. Do you think I will be able to shoot flames after this setup or will I need a resonator delete?
There’s a possibility that you can yes, and I’m not sure whether or not the stock resonator will restrict flames, but I don’t think it does.
Tailan Talip stock wrx midpipe does not have a resonator
What type of exhaust tips do you have love the sound of it !
its a Killer B catless downpipe with an ETS extreme catback. No resonators, no mufflers

not anything yet, no. i love mine but fair warning, this setup is LOUD
I have an ets extreme also, is going catless that much louder? The cat back by itself isn't that loud in my opinion.

that's the same Bolt-on set up I want to run too, any updates on the power numbers and if it shots so sick flames?
Sounds gnarly man.. I planned on going catless using ambot tuning. How was your experience with him?
My experience was great. No issues, and car feels greats 👍🏻
Houston 40Roll Dope.. Did he have you remove the restrictor pill from the vacuum lines?
Yes. This is done when doing an EBCS tho anyways. Before any etuning, I’d recommend and ebcs
Woah
are you on E85? And have you ever threw it on a dyno? Thing sounds rowdy as hell!
I was tryna figure out do I want one of these or a charger but you helped me choose
glad to help
whats with the mufflers delete on the left and the (what looks like) R400 on the right? Shit stills sounds nasty tho!
It’s just an ets extreme. Nothing was cut or anything, but the ETS extreme is no mufflers, no resonators, full 3inch. This setup is very loud
Mine will sound like that soon...😏
Damn that actually sounds pretty damn good and fuck those flames are sick as shit 👍🏿
Thank you! I appreciate it!
Did I see some blue smoke when you started it?
That thing sounds mean🔥🔥
How do you get it whistle like that bro ?
It’s just the turbo whistle from being catless and straight pipe. Nothing added extra to make it whistle like that

I have the tomei expreme Ti catback now

just bought a 2020 sti. Really want to make it sound like this. It says the Killer B catless J-pipe is discontinued. Is there an alternative?

on this video, It was the stock BPV with a cobb intake. I now have a Cobb LF BPV installed and it's wayy louder
How thick is your pipe? 3”?
yes 3" diameter exhaust
did you get a tune when you took the Cats off?
yes
i got a catless downpipe with a straight pipe single exit, is single exit louder than the regular quad exit ?
Don’t think it’s any louder. I had a tomei at one point, and that was quieter, but that’s because it has a muffler and a resonator

I was not in this video, I am now
Is that stock turbo?
yes. still on stock turbo, For now ;)

I’m on a custom flex fuel Etune from Mtuned
