This was a good video. 👍 it answered all of my questions about the subaru WRX/STI. It also taught me that I am just a daily driver enthusiasts and I would never mod my WRX or my future STI. I enjoy the car stock but I really enjoy watching your channel and other subie Nation youtubers. Its really an awesome site to see what you can do to this platform. Im very excited about the new FA motors coming to the WRX/STI. It should be very interesting. Stay safe brother 🙏 and keep these great videos coming. Happy holidays.

Appreciate your channel thanks for the great information. I have a GTI and thinking about a trade in for a WRX. I have heard from many about the common rev hang associated with that car. They said that a tune will remove the rev hang. What tune is needed to remove rev hang and it that the first tune you would advise a new owner to get? If not what tune would you suggest? This is a daily driver that really likes to pull on ramps and passing on highway. So not really a young aggressive driver but middle aged wanting quick pulls every once in a while. Thanks for any responses for owners.

If you buy an Cobb access port for your wrx, the stage 1 tune will get rid of the rev hang. Which is installed on the access port when you get it

I'm considering just buying an older low KM 2015 or 2016 STI since performance wise I'm just going to void the warranty if I got a newer STI. Nothing crazy I'd be happy at 350hp. Definitely just want a nice daily so under 400 hp for reliability. Is there a huge difference between a 2015 sti compared to a newer 2019 or 2020 sti

Bought a 2006 Subaru wrx with stage 2 supporting mods. Will I need to send the tuner a list of my mods in order to receive a tune? Or would I just need to send in my base map data logs.

What is your opinion on OTS tunes? I have 2019 WRX with PAP stage 1 only. Currently, I have no plans to mod it.

So what kind of numbers are you putting down after tunning? Can they get it to 410hp @ the wheels pretty conservatively? Or does everyone stick around 350whp or less? I am imagining the way the car pulls stock it's around 275whp, eventhough the books say 310hp @ the engine.

And if you want a real tune. Get a Tactrix cable, and ecu flash, rom raider logger, and for 169 bucks you have yourself custom tuning any time anywhere. I make 400 wheel torque and I am a tuner and prefer ecu flash with Tactrix, launch control and flat foot shifting, only not held back by cobb. Then e 85 I have also a custom map for that that I haven’t dyno my tune yet, but it’s definatly 40+ hp and torque for sure. Off my base line 363 wheel hp and 400 wheel torque pump 92. You also can e tune this way as well, cobb will also lock your ecm and the maps and render it useless if it ever gets separated. Say someone steals your ap. Well you are now fucked. Unless you send it back to cobb to get in married, or buy a new cobb and hope it unmarried during initial flash. With ecu flash any tuner at any time can read your ecm make changes and reflash. No big deal.

Never, ever get an e tune. With added mods, the car MUST have a dyno tune by a professional. E tunes are dangerous garbage

I think they are okay to a certain point into your build. If you wanna slap on a downpipe or a intake I’m sure a E-tune would be okay.
