Your really humble and honest. Nice video, you mentioned dont turbo an auto is. which is contraditory to what all the forums say. I just picked up a 2001 auto and deciding the route i want to take...
dsthez55 you can take any route you desire. I have personally seen two IS autos go one with nitrous (75 shot) and one on moderate boost 8psi. If you really want to enjoy the car and the power I say manual granted the w55 manual isn’t the strongest. However many manual tranny options are available for the is300. GREAT CAR! This is HANDS DOWN one of my FAVORITE Toyota's ever built! When I was stationed in Japan, TWICE, One year a piece, First time- Okinawa, last time- Iwakuni or Yamaguchi Prefecture. What’s the other turbo kit that you would recommend that already have everything? I know you said it on the video but I was having a hard time hearing it
NA-T seems the way to go if you can shop and get some good deals and you are doing it yourself. Right here he spent like 6-7k as if someone took the time and buying the parts on a good deal they could have it all done with 4K-5500 which is definitely not bad, swap is very costly and most certainly worth it but you’re looking at 10k-12k if you are paying someone to do it 3k for the motor, trans, each on average and then shelling out install. If you DIY everything comes out cheaper but looks like NA-T is solid for the price and less of a headache then a DIY swap
carnstar totally agree. If you look at my video a majority of this cost is clutch/flywheel and engine management. You can cheaply NA-T for like 2k. I wanted a system that was reliable and could expand on in the future. Also I noted list prices for my parts. I got many at far less than retail.
@@C3GARAGEMedia its awesome you replied! definitely subbed to see more of your IS300. I saw the same CXracing kit you are talking about because im trying to NA-T my SC300 and right now the price has lowered from your 1500 one to the current one i believe is 820. Dude, as I stated in your unboxing vid., the CX Turbo kit is nowhere to be found. - The way that you presented it, complete with all the pieces, included. You can get the mani and some pipes(kit), then you have another kit with more things but not all together. The filter sandwich plate that they have, looks like it's only for a Miata. ...Maybe they started selling things differently, since then. But it wasn't that long ago! That's what I don't get.

GioGuitarDude that was posted after my issue was diagnosed and a fix was found. That was certainly not there at the time i purchased the harness or i would not have purchased it. I worked with them for weeks to find a fix as did the shop i was working with for tuning. We even sent the harness back for them to diagnose and it still did not work correctly. I've been watching your build the cx kit comes with a gt35 but which one...I didn't buy the kit and peiced one together my self and used a gt3582r and a aem fic 8 piggy back and chose to build the block instead of a standalone so block has tomei head gasket and Crower rods and valve springs on wiseco gte pistons.... Do you think it could make more then 420 wheel with that turbo or would I have to go bigger.... Didn't build the block for nothing ya know
All the engine hardware is also arp with king bearings I feel it should take 600 minimum and it's kinda the goal I set just don't know if my turbo and piggy back can make it
Rasputin 883 and it literally costs under 5k to buy a motor and swap it yourself. So yes a full swap is the cheaper route and the same headache but less of a headache in the long run because you swapped a foged motor in
I come across 2jzgte motors constantly for about 3000. But I'm always questioning their quality, you know? It would be hard for me to buy a motor for 3000, with a premise of "what you see is what you get" and "buyer beware". ...But I'm kinda bummed out cause of what he said that "If you have an auto, you shouldn't boost it", cause that's exactly what I have. ...But then again, I've read that engines are designed to support about double the HP that they come out with stock. Like mine (I think), stock is 215 HP, so I think, I'd be good for about 350, without fortifying. - But not much more than that(and it always winds up to someone wanting more), so I really don't know if I should abandon my boosted aspirations. ...This sucks, cause I'd have to swap out motor *and* the trans.

C3GARAGE Media Thanks for all videos! Two questions for you... 1. What was the kit you recommended in the video that comes with upgraded injectors and fuel pump? I’m looking to buy the most complete kit out of box. 2. Why do you need a fuel return? The GE engines don’t require it, only the GTEs. Don’t you only need a fuel pressure regulator? Thanks! 🙏
He has the CX Racing turbo kit. It costs around 1900 with the full intercooler kit along with the turbo and manifold etc. Go on their website and check it out
The ge head in all honesty side by side the ge has more flow than the gte head it just the ge block has smaller rods that's why people do the swap cause the gte has stronger rods but if you upgrade the rods in the ge your better of that is the ge is300 block

Allturbo98 :my tuner get it running in no time. The AEM EMS from Dezod came with the plug and play harness, everything plug in perfect, no cutting into any wires. The hardest part is where to mount the huge EMS 😂
How’s the BOV from CX are they any good?
What complete turbo kit did you say is out for the IS300? Cuz when I search I only see XS,CX and SRT which I believe is out of business. A simple bolt on is all I'm looking for at the moment
steve wilson cx racing
Damn turbocharged a 2jz ge sound like a lot of work might as well get a 1jz gte or a 2jzgte
2jzgte is about 6k to 8k not counting the cost to swap it and ecu/tune
I have no idea what to do with my stock is
為什麼我看了以後頭就暈暈的?
Love the video bro.
What are you going to do for a trans in the future after that w goes?
Chase Compton I would like to cd09.
cd009 has terrible gear ratios for any of the IS differentials - t56 is the way to go
@@C3GARAGEMedia I'll have a complete R154 setup (bell, flywheel, clutch, slave, trans with marlin crawler parts, driveshaft, etc etc)available here in a few weeks, if interested...
Are you not scared that the vvti 2jz-ge can only withstand 250 horse comfortably whereas the non vvti motor can handle 450 more comfortably. Have a look into it. Your motor is going to go boom if you are going to run more then 4-5 psi for an extended period.
vvti's break at like 300-350
@@z33avery30 u good bro I 2jzgte cylinder head swapped upgraded cams, pistons, rods, changed the compression and I’m at 9psi for the past 72,000 miles at 512hp and am chillin
@@z33avery30 also ar5 manual swap
very good video
How much hp will the stick training hold up to ?
Austin Torres not sure exactly. The w55 is not that strong.
I hear the manual will only hold about 300hp. Auto will hold more hp I think.
did you upgrade the head gasket or ARP studs?
lulzz totally stock
Why am I getting dizzy?! 😩
Autos could handle a lot of power. Not sure where you got that info from. Search the forums.
they handle about 300-350 stock
1000cc you'll probably be only using 85% of their duty. I'd go with 800. You might be paying for leftover % that you won't use.
Rasputin 883 rather be safe than sorry better to run rich than lean eventhough both are bad
you shouldnt ever run wide open on injectors
1000cc with handle 600whp on E85 with a 0.70 Lambda and be under 85% DC.
Did u have to change the internals
TAGallStar no he hasn't he thinks they share the same internals as the gte
Stock internals.
k you are incorrect. I have never claimed they are the same as a gte.
C3GARAGE Media oh mb I forgot the ? At the end of my sentence
C3GARAGE Media I enjoy the vids btw. Keep up the good work
Pretty sure a a340 canhandle at least 400 stock
Do you have to worry about emissions? Becuz of turbo lol
2jzge short block is better for turbo
Wow seems like a waste when you could have just put a gte and a stand alone harness and a cheap fuel pump.
Chevy sucks true but a get would be really expensive even if you can find a solid one
damn thats expensive
cool video mAN
213 times he said umm
JahnSmart what are you doing actually counting
Should’ve went gte buddy
Kool Jass i am pretty happy with the nat i am currently putting down 425 whp at 9 psi been drifting like that almost two years going strong and reliable. This was a fun build and I am happy with the result
@@C3GARAGEMedia hey bud are you running 430whp with stock internals?
@@C3GARAGEMedia I've been looking around forever online trying to figure out the right safe spot for whp on a NA-T without going overboard, please help!!!
@@C3GARAGEMedia do you think 330 who on stock internals is safe?
@@C3GARAGEMedia whp*
naaaaaa its cheaper then that
OMG it sucks yes 2jz it.
