If I had a nickel for every time a Voyager episode's plot involved the Doctor singing opera, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's strange it happened twice.
Really? I'm sure he sung at least in half a dozen episodes. Maybe not opera... but he sings "you are my sunshine" for an entire season it feels like to me.
I think we forgot the greatest "no context" moment. The Doctor: "Computer, deactivate Iguana." Dr Lewis Zimmerman: "HOW DARE YOU?" The Doctor: "I'm a doctor, not a zookeeper!"
Missing the classic "It hurts when I do this." "Well don't do it! Ahahahahaha!" Also that time Tuvok choked Neelix while he was being irritating, and then after the light fades from Neelix's eyes, Tuvok says "End program". So over the top dark it turns silly.
0:40 A few years ago, my former boss was driving an old car in front of the military base. In front of the base, soldiers stand at attention. His car's engine backfired. BANG! All the soldiers threw themselves to the ground!
I really liked that series, but sadly and luckily... Season one was the worst, the bad guys were essentially giant children with bad hair. I was glad when the show moved on. We're lucky it wasn't outright cancelled.
Voyager is the best, doctor and his sarcasm, badass captain, borg, cranky vulcan, manboy tom, international student harry, talaxian version of troi, angry klingon, I love them! 😚the writers were good, I wish they had more time and freedom to develop all the characters, I feel like everything was rushed
@@alexmckee4683 -- Well, the series finale was ridiculously rushed. Chakotay and , hurry and build up this tepid chemistry! @@davidlandry9258 I like Voyager but it's hard to overlook its flaws. The writers wrote it as a fundamentally episodic series despite the essential premise, a ship lost in a distant part of the galaxy, being strongly suited to a more strongly serialized approach. It became clear quite quickly that the writers didn't really have any new stories so it became mostly a retread of TNG with better visual effects. I did like the characters which were undoubtedly the best thing about the series. As you say the ending was rushed but this was because the writers never really had a plan or aim for the show, there was no idea of how it was going to end and due to the episodic approach they struggled to put anything in place in time. About two-thirds of the episodes in season seven could work just as easily in season 4, 5 or 6 which is a sign of how little ongoing character and story development there was.
@@alexmckee4683 Yes, I think they were on some massive deadlines to finish up, because Archer was supposed to start, they were in such a rush that they were literally dismantling the set to prepare it for the next show while the shooting was still ongoing for Voyager, we can only imagine the pressure on everyone involved when everything is so heavily back to back, even tough I think they made a relatively satisfying ending, yes I wish it could have been stretched more, but I liked the endgame episodes overall, the whole plot and bickering between janeway and the borg qeen was gold. Despite everything, I absolutely love the whole show and it is definitely my favourite
This was freaking hysterical so well done. Even though i could instantly recall almost every scene it had me in stitches laughing at how odd they are out of context. 😂
And there's, of course, "Someone to Watch Over Me" (5x22): B'Elanna: "How the hell do you know when we're having intimate relations?" 7of9: "There is no one on deck 9 section 12 who doesn't know when you're having intimate relations."
I always had a love/hate relationship with Voyager. It was never quite TNG, but still cozy and familiar enough to want to see what happens next week...even if what happened was sometimes goofy.
even tho voyager might be the worst star trek show of the TNG trio its my favourite, because of goofy stuff like this! Sometimes it feels like a sitcom honestly

SEX APPEAL IS IRRELEVANT. YOUR REPRODUCTIVE AND GLANDULAR DISTINCTIVENESS WILL BE ADDED TO OUR OWN
There is one quote I've always loved from Voyager.
"There's coffee in that nebula!"
My favorite line in the entire series
It sums up her character pretty well.

Exactly how I would expect a sentient replicator to behave :)
Majel Barrett Roddenberry in cold sullen sarcastic unhelpful form as always! "Make it yourself..."
She could have given Ellen McLain a run for her money voicing GLaDOS.
"delete the wife " is just cold...
“I miss my wife” really hammers it home

"Get the cheese to Sickbay" 😂
Best line of the series.

Really? I'm sure he sung at least in half a dozen episodes. Maybe not opera... but he sings "you are my sunshine" for an entire season it feels like to me.
When his core programs start to degrade one of the things that indicates the hot fix was a great success is that he starts humming again.
@@borstenpinsel They specified episodes where the *plot* revolves around him singing, not just when he was singing for the fun of it.

The Doctor: "I'm a doctor, not a zookeeper!"
the "sex appeal" line would have been funnier without the clip immediately before it, which gives it unwanted context
It is still pretty good. The dead pant delivery by Tuvok makes the difference
Still the most sensual way to say the word "puppy".
If anyone were to find the way, it would be Suzie Plakson.
One that’s missing: Chakotay and Tuvok look at giant salamanders. “Which one is the Captain?” “The female, obviously.”
