Gary's a good dad. He has problems obviously, but he's trying and he clearly loves his kid. I wouldn't condone cussing out your own kid obviously but the dude braved getting into an active battlefield all to get his daughter's teddybear back. God bless Gary and I hope he doesn't go to the Death Star tomorrow.
You know, do to the fact that the stormtroopers that fought beside Vader were actually clones from the 501'st battalion, thakid is the grand-daughter of Jango and the cousin of Boba. Just a neat fact

May we all have a Gary like figure in our own lives someday. He's no perfect father but he tries his hardest to make his kid happy.
He actually survived and made it to Endor, where he ran over an Ewok and tried to ask for Palpatine raise because of it. He arrived when Vader betrayed Palpatine, so he left. It is possible that he could have survived the second Death Star too because we see Imperials evacuate in the movie.

It was Disney who turned the stormtroopers into a meme. There was a reason for the Death Star stormtroopers to miss their targets. Before and after the fact, stormtroopers were quite fearsome.

There's the first released novelization of ESB in 1982 that states that Vader never wanted his son killed, so the 501st was ordered not to shoot to kill. They smashed the Rebel base at Hoth, killing quite a bunch of Alliance soldiers, didn't they? But in ROTJ, Ewoks fall by the hundreds despite winning(A battle that was to take place in Kashyyk and fought by wookies, but Lucas wanted better selling toys and changed that at the eleventh hour. Also, they hit Princess Leia squarely in the back at the beginning of ANH with a single shot. No excuses: The ignorant hacks at Disney made a meme come true

I don't know how Stormtroopers missing became a thing. They killed dozens of soldiers on that ship, hundreds of Jawas, thousands of Ewoks, etc.

7:52 atleast in legends this made sense with the imperial warlord Era lasting over a decade but in cannon it makes no sence its so short. Even if there where mass uprisings it probably would be better to have a massive show of strength by just finishing the job. A similar sized fleet to death squadron with better and more aggressive tactics could probably win without much difficulty
In the story mode on battlefront 2 you can see what the empire did after episode 6

8:15 - Legends has the answer to that. Moffs and Generals all wanted to be Emperor, so they fought amongst themselves for that.
Also, at that point the Imperial military had grown dependent on Palatine's battle meditation to function, and without it, the whole Imperial military fought (in Thrawn's words) like cadets. And even then, it was another 15 years of war.
