Why Satan's Temptation of Jesus is PURE EVIL

  • Wow! JESUS IS KING! The fulfillment of prophecy. I love the Word of God and how Holy Spirit shows us what our Savior did for us. It draws me further into Him and makes me love and appreciate His sacrifice all the more. This revelation has encouraged me greatly. Jesus is our perfect example! If you, like me, have ever wondered what made Jesus say "get behind me Satan" to Peter, then maybe this will bring some clarity! This was too exciting not to share. I love when passages in the Bible connect like this!

    MY BFF
I just lost my friend today
Who I loved with all my heart
    Their life suddenly faded away
And ripped my life totally apart
I was crying and did not know
    Just how to live anymore
Searching, searching - I cannot find
How to heal 'cause I'm mangled & sore
    I fell asleep from exhaustion
I saw Jesus was crying too
He slowly walked up to me & said
"I've been crying for years just for you."
    He expects nothing from me
    'Cause everything He's already done
I came to the end of my life and saw
    My battles Jesus already won
He's the friend I never had before
I feel His warmth in my heart
My BFF - my forever friend
Now we'll never be torn apart

If you read Leviticus chapter 12, you will understand why Jesus ended his ministry at age 33. All throughout scripture you can find Jesus fulfilling the law by his finished works on the cross. I’m so grateful for his grace and mercy, that he would lay down his life for someone like me.

      @JayGib_SFC หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@lai7527 I understand particular numbers mean things in the Bible, but when it comes to the Jewish law, there really isn’t much to pull out of context. At least when I’ve been taught. I actually take the Bible as literal as possible, and then use my cross reference versus to study deeper when there is a deeper meaning. For instance, when Jesus says He is the law of Moses He is literally the living embodiment of the word of God so this reference makes sense. (John1:1)

Something precious is also how man fell from the first temptation. They also used God's "Word" to argue off the temptation and failed round 1. (Genesis)
Jesus however, also used "Word" and overcame temptation just like overcoming the sting of death. And it perfectly resonates with the armor of God, using the Truth, the Word, to fight off the enemy and it's temptations. In summary, if you know the Truth, you can identify something crafty from the devil. And using the Truth, you can resist the devil and he will flee from you.
All glory to God and King Jesus. Jesus was there from the beginning. The alpha and the omega.
God bless you all and bless this channel and protect everyone and keep you all in Truth. Amen

This video should have a million views. But, unfortunately, the Road to Eternal Life is narrow, and few will find it. It's painful to accept the fact that most of the people who we love are probably not going to have eternal security, but the Scripture is clear. I pray that I am in that number.

God is holy, and we are to be seriously holy. Sin separates us from the love of God. The path to eternal life is narrow, and few be that enter in. @@jenniferwalsh1731 Hello Jennifer. Consider prayer a conversation or two-way dialogue with Heaven. Our Salvation cannot be achieved without the cross! But to stay silent or simply as for things leaves us no better off than non-believers. We pray…to give thanks. But we can also receive in that prayer new direction or encouragement when trials make hope difficult. Our Lord had assured success but he prayed, why?
As a model to His followers. There is need for prayer because the security in question is to what end Christians face the judgement of their King on His White throne. From that we receive recognition and reward for obedient, Kingdom loyalty. It translates into reward; the sacrifices the 12 Apostles made including their eventual martyrdom was to have authority over the 12 respective tribes of Israel.
@just_a_reflection does well to engage an active responsive life! Sadly, saying Lord or Master in the absence of Kingdom service puts everyone staking their future on justification by faith alone in a precarious situation. Too many loving warnings to ignore…A King whatever our (mis)understanding of His Laws rules as He pleases.

That temptation also had the goal to thwart God's plan for salvation. The offer to avoid suffering was one thing, to rush the plan of God with worship right then and there was an element of the temptation for sure, but remember Hebrews 9:22 tells us, "without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins” Satan also wanted Jesus to avoid the cross, the place where the justice of God and the love of God would come together, the place where our forgiveness would be purchased by His precious blood.

Satan offered me the state of Alabama.
New song from cloud of witnesses church
The Devil came down to Alabama
Said if you will listen to me
Ill give you land in this here place (lol he offered me the state of Alabama)
Far as the eye can see
    She said oh no! No!
    I got no time
    I got places to be
    You big liar
    You big thief
    I got Things to do
And I know a place for thee
    Get behind me
Then i saw him looking at me
    With evil little eyes
Like a wild pig boar (psalms 80)
    Gritting teeth
    Wanting to waste me
    But when he tried
    Jesus Christ
    Came to rescue me
    I called His name
    Three times and
    He delivered me
Then i got a good idea
    From things Jesus taught me
To send him on a little tour
In the bottom of the sea
    He gave me a song
    To send him there
    And the devil came whining
    And he came crying
Said youuuu cant doooo that toooo meeee
    I said
    Get right down
    under my feet
    You old devil
    In the name of
    My Lord Jesus Christ
Thats where you need to be
    Hell is hot and ready
    Go now and see
Its stirred up to meet thee
    Go now
    Take a tour
    Of your forever home
    Go look and see
    And he no likey
Then he confessed to me (satan confessed to the sorcery that those caught it it he will mow them down)

Satan chose to attempt to tempt Jesus at the moment Jesus would be at his weakest when he was fasting. Satan greatly underestimated the willpower and love that Jesus had to get the work done for us because of that love, even though that was Satan's best opportunity to stick it to God the Father if he could manage to tempt Jesus while in the form of a man to give into the pains and hungers of being on that fast in the desert.

Studying the first temptation of Satan in the wilderness is really interesting and not completely straightforward either. I'm currently in a scriptural deep dive of all that is fulfilled in his earthly ministry and its connection and relation to the Torah, writings and prophecy. It's only many years later looking back I can see how much depth is glossed over that we never got from Sunday school or church as children. We take this passage for granted way too much.

Things we like seldom match what God likes…that is why first being reborn and next as a new creation we are transformed by the renewing of our mind. That comes from repeatedly doing God’s will, noting our old self, the world and the Enemy all DISlike Kingdom stuff.
Habits are broken through replacement over time. Science understands how the brain operates - we think by NOT thinking. Sounds weird! It means with so much it must handle to keep our body functioning and dealing with everything around us, our brain facing a given decision looks for a past solution that worked and applies it to move on. I laugh how at a famous restaurant chain I look at the menu but somehow end up ordering the “usual”. It is the well-beaten path. No obstacles. Anything brand new requires learning, hacking away at a new path in the jungle and its hard work. It takes time and effort. Fact: the more you reinforce or hack away at something you like, the more you will keep going there and the harder to stop.
Jesus does tell us while Salvation IS freely given, we must count the cost. Taking up OUR cross and following Him is no skipping through the daisies. Is it worth it? Absolutely. Now. Over time you will begin liking new things more and world things less. That happens by listening to God in Bible reading PLUS actively doing what He tells you through interactive, 2 way prayer. We fall short at times but if we confess our sins he promptly forgives us. We are learning to live in a brand new country with its own traditions, activities, values and currencies. Heaven is NOT after death, it is within reach on earth to start with.
Your choice, like the world or the Kingdom of Heaven. But why die expecting to go to Heaven if we don’t even want to live for a few years with God here on earth?

Because Jesus is the Word of God made flesh he showed us physically how to live God's word (which is spiritual) in this flesh. He showed us that what profits this flesh does nothing for life, but that it's actually life that gives the flesh it's value. He taught me that when Adam's flesh received the death sentence because Adam had been made from the earth all flesh received the death sentence. Since everything including the temporal was created through the Word of God who is eternal, it became necessary for the Word of God to also be temporal. So the Word of God was not only eternal, but he was also the beginning and the end of all creation, temporal. Uncreated and yet created, all in all.
God made the way for His Word to have an end through Eve who was made from Adam, not the earth directly so that the death that passed on all through Adam would not be able to be passed on His Word. Eve being the first to disobey God received the death sentence first, while she was still a virgin. The seed inside of her also received the death sentence so that the seed of every female child born from her also received the death sentence. This virgin seed is the lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world. Because death came into being, the Word through which everything was made had to die also so that death could have an end. But life is eternal and the Word of God is eternal, so that when death was completed by the Word of God (as the Son of man through Eve) the life in his flesh (as the Son of God) revived him in the flesh (the Word of God made flesh). And the Word that God had spoken must continue until it's all fulfilled (making his enemies his footstool). Meanwhile the resurrected Word of God has begun creating all things new, beginning with those of the faith in Christ Jesus. This is why the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy (Rev 19:10)
Isaiah 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Satan will use people in our lives to tempt us away from God. Jesus didn't allow Himself to sin and give into pride for a short cut or easy way out that wasn't God's will. God has lessons or His reasons for His plan for us that we don't see yet but is perfect if or when we do see. Jesus didn't give in to Satan by forcing the angels to save Him on mans will but God's will when the angels administered to Him later and fulfilling that prophecy. Everthing Jesus did was for us and set an example for us to follow and learn from.

You missed what I used to miss too. You didn't even say it!
    WHAT DOES MAN LIVE BY???
Man lives by EVERY WORD that pours forth from the mouth of God! In other words, the LIVING WATER, the Life giving Torah instructions are pouring out of God's mouth in Genesis through Malachi! They are life giving treasure to live by which bring exceeding growth and blessings. These WORDS are Yeshua, Salvation to our soul. These are the very WORDS that are Jesus, Yeshua, Salvation! They are not thrown out, or torn apart to see which ones we like to do. We accept them as ETERNA TRUTHS and meditate on them day and night. They reveal the very character of God and all His qualities. You are studying and learning the likeness and image of your Messiah. Your learning His NAMESAKE and reputation..... As I walked through my first years of Christianity, I did my daily bread. I was hungry for that bread. It was beautiful nuggets. It was like the manna in the wilderness. I came to realize something as I walked. I barely new the Old Testament scripture, I mean, the New Testament was the important part, RIGHT??! And that's when I thought for just a brief moment, Jesus and all His disciples HAD NO NEW TESTAMENT. They were completely fed from the ORIGINAL SCRIPTURE of the Jews, the Torah! In fact, it was the WEAPON JESUS USED to DEFEAT the enemy. That same enemy is the one who deceives us!!! Our weapon is the WORD (JESUS). He is every word in the front of the book!!!! The New Testament was made into scripture hundreds of years after Jesus resurrection. It actually proves the Torah, Prophets, and Writings are true!!! I know this is long, but here's the picture metapor...... we are called out of EGYPT.... MANY are called, but few are chosen. Only 2 make it to the promised land!.... The younger generation will go in and inherit the land flowing with milk and honey...... the land that ALREADY has produced fruit (Jesus/ First Fruits).... What is the good soil, our heart.. ... What is the good seed, His Word (not twisted Scripture)..... Read Psalm 1.... Psalm 119..... Psalm 19:7-11..... Deuteronomy 13 and Deuteronomy 30!!!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR CLARIFYING. LOL Can’t tell if your my sister or brother-in-Christ by your post name. I am a brother. Jesus fasted for 40 days. What does 40 mean in biblical numerics? Probation. This was the test for Christ to prove Himself capable of starting His ministry in the flesh. God in the flesh, weakened by the flesh body and further weakened by 40 days of fasting. This was yet another an opportunity for Satan to defeat God. But Jesus, in an extremely weakened state of mind and body, recognized Satan’s attempts to deceive Him and cause Him to worship Satan. Christ passed the test with flying colors, using God’s Truth to defeat Satan’s attempt. Satan is an excellent scripture lawyer, he knows scripture better than any flesh man. This biblical narrative shows us many things we can learn from.

@@glasshousetvofficialnice, I appreciate your Christlike response. I do not have an agenda either, except proclaiming Truth.
Honestly, I was came to Christ in a repent of your sins church, spent many years believing we must repent of our sins to be saved, and it is true, to be saved( from our sin, from some consequences, from spiritual death in our flesh) but not for eternal life, that is a free gift. We should repent, we should walk in the Good works that He had prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
God dispenses faith to each according to His hood pleasure, He knows we will come to different Truths at different stages in life.
Just so you know, I only comment on a few channels, the ones I feel genuinely led to ..... I don't comment to argue, I comment when I know a Truth that a brother or sister might not have understood yet.
I know I was harsh the other day and I apologize, but, I still meant what I said.
      Memorize and meditate.
I started over 30ntears ago to really study commentaries, lexicon, concordance, history , etc.
It wasn't until 43 years after my knowledge of Christ's gift that I determined in my mind to obey God and memorize scripture, those two things have changed my life and understanding.
I bear you witness that you have a zeal for God, but, not according to knowledge, .....
You cannot lose something you did nothing to aquire, all His children were predestined from before the foundation of the world and He will not lose one that the Father has given Him.

Hey @3BadBostons I get the gist of what you're saying and to an extent, I agree. Jesus is the narrow gate metaphorically speaking, however, just like all things God, that connotation carries with it a multitude of significance - it's not as two-dimensional as we think. Some thoughts...
I think Jesus IS the narrow gate with respect that he is the one and only way into heaven - in the world we live in with all of its opinions and "truths", placing your faith in Jesus for salvation seems way too simple and myopic. I mean... it couldn't be THAT easy, could it? Well.. yes and no. Yes, the mechanics of it are easy - we believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ.
AFTER THAT is where the way becomes difficult because the genuineness of our profession is then brought to the forefront and tested. I don't know about you or anyone else, but the second I got saved I was instantly thrown into a trial. Kind of like throwing a kid into the swimming pool when he's never even seen water - on it's face, you're choices are to drown or swim; that's it (except God is RIGHT THERE making sure you don't drown - that's the part we have to learn). I've had some breathers in my 26 years of following Jesus, but I can't recall a time where I go without getting some curve ball thrown my way, like the one I'm going through now. We can't learn or grow without trials - how else would trust be formed? And THAT is where the way gets difficult and our faith is proven (along the lines of 1st Peter 1:7). Genuine faith is always being proven; it has to be. That shows up in a myriad of ways, our thoughts and our actions to name a few, but most importantly in our ATTITUDES. Now, even though my flesh doesn't like trials because they're uncomfortable, my spirit man rejoices in them because I can tell by my own internal attitudes that I'm growing in my trust! It makes all of the fleshly discomfort worth it!
I believe God has shown me what is coming in the not-so-distant future, and that is a falling away due to Jesus not meeting people's expectations during the fiery trials that are coming our way. It's the double-edged sword of living in America; we've been coddled and protected for so long, that our idea of persecution is harsh words said to us on TH-cam. We have no idea what persecution is and we have no endurance for hardship. For those whose trust is not fully in God, the unsettling things coming our way will test their faith. This is where the difficulties of the Narrow Way start to manifest. People will fall away because their trust will wane when God doesn't do what they expect and how they expect him to do it.
I've gone on long enough here, but I hope you understand what I'm saying. Jesus IS the narrow way of salvation - totally agree; but equally as important is the proving of our faith along that narrow path. Will we continue to obey him even when we can't see? How about when we are doing all that we can to obey him and things still are not going our way or God seemingly isn't answering or listening to our prayers? I don't have it all figured out, but I'm telling you - the narrow way is a whole lot more than simply that first step of believing upon Jesus. It's a lifestyle of trust.
      God bless you friend.

You said you are open to to truths, what did Satan say 3 times to Jesus, if tho be the son of God, Satan knew who Jesus is more than we do, he see in the spiritual world. If Jesus was God then he would have said so, why can’t we just say it as it is, the Trinity does not get us to heaven, Jesus does! Read 1John chapter 4&5 if we confess that Jesus is the son we have life, How many times Jesus said my father that is in heaven.
This is my son whom I am well pleased. , Satan has got to the cornerstone of our faith and we believe a religious doctrine that was set up by Constitine, who was not a Christian, the Nicoane Creed in 325 was a political scam to unify the people under a religious title. Let wake up to false doctrine.

I am not talking about Modelism, i am talking about what the Word says. And asked a question on where The trinity doctrine came from? Have you researched this? There was no mention of the trinity on pre 325. Here is another script for ya , it says God cannot be tempted with evil. Then why would Satan even try to tempt God himself. When Peter said to Jesus when he asked who do men say I am? Peter said your are the Christ, the Son of the living God. If the revelation of Jesus was God here would be a good time to say it, my Father in Heaven has revealed this to you, he said my father is greater then I. So you are doing a great job revealing bad doctrine, why not consider the trinity as a lie from Satan himself. What would Satan attrack the most? The cornerstone, if he can deceive us there we then we are not obeying the word of 1 John chapter 3&4
If we test the spirits if we con fess that Jesus came in the flesh, if you don’t believe this then we call God a liar, that he sent his only begotten son. Are you stuck on tradition?
