The Lord is warning people not to trust in their work to save them. But to do the will of the Father. And what is the will of the Father. Jesus said to believe on the Son is the will of the Father . Faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ is the only way we enter.

The problem with social media is you hear so many angles and talking points that by the end of the day you aren't sure you measure up at all. This one says you aren't loving enough. Or that guy says you need to do this or that and sends so many unbelievers away because so many messages are out there. How about we put our faith in Jesus. Read and pray each day.. Love one another. Salvation is so simple a child can understand it...We are saved by Grace. Not works.

Isn't HE the narrow gate. Enter in by the narrow gate. These people have used him to make a ministry out of signs and wonders and they were not trusting in the blood of Christ for forgiveness. He does not know them as they were banking on their spiritual gifts being the focus not putting the focus on HIM. The first commandment . We enter (the Greek here includes entry as in having occupational responsibility) into the King’s employ through a gate made narrow, not by it’s size but by the fact that one must navigate obstacles to get through. It requires Holy Spirit Guidance and compliance and by following directions, the Lord comes to know us and we His voice. Those choosing a wider method simply go wherever they want or are told by someone else. It echoes Peter’s response to the Lord. Who do the people say I am and what about you? Peter answers correctly not only in content but method; not through flesh and blood but by the Father. This IS the rock foundation upon which His Church IS built, which no alternative gates of Hell will prevail. Yes brother you are a spot on. I have discovered through the gift of the Holy Spirit and through the Word of God that humility is the greatest strength of love. Jesus teaches humility and this I believe is why many don’t want him. He has humbled me time and time again, and continues to do so, and I embrace it because I love him-he has my heart❤ All I do in my life now, as I build intimacy with him, is simply because I just love him. He is worth all suffering, all persecution, all rejection, and certainly worth rejecting anything in the flesh that gives worldly pleasure. He has taken me down to a place of humility, so that I might trust him love him and cherish him as I should. Jesus said you will know them by their fruits. I believe it's better to humble ourselves rather than have God humble us. He humbled me in the beginning, and it hurt, but, I learned to humble myself, so He doesn't have to, as much, lol! You are correct that our focus is to love Jesus and love people. Loving others is the hardest because of how awful others can act. Love God and love our neighbor as ourself. I see John 6:29 as a parallel passage to this passage. Here we see the false teachers calling Jesus Lord and saying, "did we not do mighty WORKS?" but Jesus says, "I never KNEW you." John 6:29 says, "The WORK of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." As it is also written, "The Just shall live through faith."
Salvation comes through faith in Him who died on the cross for sinners, but ample scripture indicates to sin produces consequences. The woman not stoned for adultery told after her judging mob left - go your way and sin no more. Separate this whole Salvation topic to look at life afterwards, all thinking to note much was DONE, Demonstrated as Training for eventual commissioning. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth." When works become a requirement you are no longer under grace. Because grace is unmerited favor aka you cant earn it. This is explained here Romans 11:6 "And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work." Notice how theres no grey area and how the second you add works to grace its no longer grace. Its either one or the other but not both. Either jesus pays the penalty for your sins on the cross or you take the pentalty of sin on yourself. And the wages of sin is death, jesus didnt want us to perish so he took that punishment for us, so by you taking it on yourself you are denying christ and thus now the punishment falls on you. Theres no amount of works of righteousness that undoes the sin you have done. Same logic would apply in a courtroom today. If you were to kill a bunch of people one day, and then donate to a charity the next day, you'd still have to face punishment for the murders you did the day before because your good actions today doesnt undo the crimes from yesterday. Even if you were to apologize there's still justice that needs to be upheld especially with a Just God. This is why he sent jesus to begin with so that he can act as our scapegoat. He took our punishment with him on the cross and died for our iniquities, and rose again on the third day so that we may do the same. Paul ACTUALLY SAID "covet the best gifts" because the power of the Holy Spirit is irresistible to the human mind. The REAL gifts exactly "replicate" the powerful deeds Jesus did, proving that His Spirit is in us, just as He promised. They are powerful tools for evangelism, far greater than all the talk-talk of all the talking preachers today. And they are utilized by ordinary believers who have received the Spirit just as Peter prophesied in Acts 2.
Thank you for your videos, since coming to you and Louis Scott I have been more at ease with my faith and being able to abid in Christ a lot smoother than I have ever been able to. I was battling my flesh on my own because of fear I didn't love God enough, instead of coming to Christ with open arms I came but still had MY hands on the world of things to fix instead of just realizing that the only thing I had to do was just Love, allowing Christ to shine through me and just trusting in him to make people's hearts grow. Its honestly a whole lot more weight lifted off of me than I ever known, I thought I had weight lifted off of me but only realizing I just gave God portions to carry instead trusting him with the whole load. I like what you said about giving God portions to carry, that is so true of many of us. I used to look at, "My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.", as my guide to how well I was doing. When the yoke hurts, I'm struggling in some way against Him. I was choked by the yoke till I learned to walk right, with Jesus, instead of against Him. And the load is better distributed between us, now. I have the questions, and He has all the answers, Hallelujah!!! Went to a friends home to teach some scripture. Had everything all ready etc. Long/short; soon after we sat down she asked me "what happens to the prayers we say to God?" Wow! NOT what I was there to teach. Felt inside - how can I communicate this VERY deep subject to this baby of the faith?" Well - I didn't - the Holy Spirit did. He helped me with bringing to my mind all that I knew about this subject, helped me remember things and speak gently and at her baby-faith level. I TRULY could NOT have done this on my own - EVER. Have never had this ever happen again afterward. But, when God wants something, or someone, to KNOW what HE needs them to know - God WILL use us for HIS glory. This, to me, was the Holy Spirit at work - not me. I believe this is HOW God wants things done. Love what you are teaching in this video - thank you.

Wrong, this is about people who think their works are going to save them. They all say " Lord, did WE NOT ". This scripture messed me up and hurt me. I put my Bible down and went for a walk. I had done the same when I read about the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit I went for a walk and God spoke to me. This time I decided to do the same and go for a walk. I went outside but it was raining. I didn't want to go back to my room after reading that. I went to my car and got in the passenger side and turned on the radio to listen to some music. The radio was on Christian radio and a voice came on. It was The Moody Bible Institute talking about a hard saying in the Bible. It was THIS scripture on the radio. I felt like my jaw hit the floor. All I can say is God set that all up from me getting to the that scripture to the rain, to the radio having that program on. He is God of all !

I feel like I'm not capable of anything sometimes, I'm just scared i'm not enough, no matter what I do no matter how hard I try to focus on Christ and his love I fall in spiral of thinking that maybe I'm just empty inside and just doing it because I fear the judgment. I think i might have some kind of depression i never tried to diagnose it because everyone just yells at me when i brought it up. I don't know what to do anymore. One day I feel his love and that i'm doing something right then another day I feel like I'm the source of pain and destruction. It is hard....

i'm in my forties, and i think it's too late for me. i've committed so much sin, hatred and bad things against my family and friends. i also heard of this one NDE of a man who arrived at the gates of Heaven, and the man-whom was believed later to be Jesus-was guarding the gates, telling him he's not getting in. he'd been called several times to return to Jesus, but he didn't, even though he was a born again Christian later. i've been eating healthy as much as i can-vegetables, etc. all i can feel from Jesus and God is how it's too late and how disappointed they are with me. i'm a 44 year old failure.

First, I am glad you pointed out that KNOW THEM BY FRUITS is about protecting yourself from false teachers/prophets and not how we can judge another’s eternal destiny. The entire sermon is addressed to everyone in the crowd, and chapter 7 is all about ALL professing believers not being led astray. ONE of those ways is to BEWARE OF FALSE TEACHERS/PROPHETS. The focus then shifts right back in verse 21 to, “everyone who says Lord Lord,” not just false teachers/prophets. This statement fits anyone PROFESSING faith. Two of the three things are spiritual gifts, which CANNOT be works of our own and must come from God (a kind of good fruit that is really a work of God) or these are false miracles from Satan (bad fruit). Great works can then refer to anything we do that looks holy and impressive. So this is not just about Pentecostal nonsense even though that is very dangerous. There is even the danger of reducing faith to a formulaic incantation of IN JESUS NAME. You seemed to skip over the, “I NEVER knew you,” indicating these people were never saved. Whenever talking about works, we have to remember that God ordains GOOD works that we may walk in them. Correct. But what it means to be under the Law is being under the penalty of the Law. Messiah has paid the price of the Law's penalty. Therefore, we are not under the Law in that regard. We are free to keep God's Law without needing to worry about the penalty. My understanding is that we are keeping the Law without perfection now while looking forward to the New Person we will be when Messiah returns and we are transformed to be like Him. From that point on, we will keep God's Law perfectly. And as Messiah said in Matthew 5, the written form of the Law can disappear at that time because as Jeremiah said in chapter 31 verses 33 and 34, no one will need to teach anyone about God or God's Law for everyone will know God and His Law will be written on their heart. It never occurred to me people can actually get distracted and tripped up by focusing too much on reading the letter of the law in the Bible instead of understanding the spirit of the law in the Bible. To be known by God means to submit our will to His will in loving relationship, which requires us to lay down our lives to the word (Jesus) of God and to walk daily in the spirit and to fill ourselves with the Word (The Bible) I order to know what the fathers will is in every moment of our lives. Through sanctification our heart is transformed to align more and more with Jesus’. But only by the Holy Spirit can this be accomplished which is manifested through the fruits of the spirit, our works and deeds. The flesh can never be made sinless. Jesus gave His life for us because of that, not the other way around. You are confusing discipleship with salvation. Salvation is a FREE gift from God. We don't have to work for it! If we think we do have to work, then it is not FREE and that grace will not be given! The wide road to destruction is paved with good works! The narrow gate is His blood and imputed righteousness only, not a list of do's and don'ts.

We do not keep God's Law perfectly. We will not be able to do that until we are given our new bodies when Messiah transforms us at His second coming. Read these verses in context both general and historical and even more so the verses surrounding and descending it, especially Hebrews and Corinthians.
Hebrews 10 is about how animal sacrifices can't pay for sin. Revelation 3:16 is about peoppe who mox Law and grace, they are lukewarm. Philippians 2 is about standing in the Gospel, aka believing the Gospel = obeying the Gospel. Luke 21 is about the great tribulation, not salvation. 1 Corinthians 6 in context is about how believers were letting unbelievers to pass judgement on the body of Christ. The unrighteous are unbelievers, a believer CAN'T be unrighteous even if they do all these sins listed, because they have the imputed righteousness of God in Christ. Saying that believers can be unrighteous for doing these things, proves that you don't believe the Gospel, and you think that God is unrighteous for justifying sinners freely by His grace. Also, literally the very next verse, which you self righteous Pharisees ALWAYS leave out, says that the Corinthians WERE some of these kinds of people (in flesh), but ARE washed, ARE sanctified, ARE justified in the name of the Son of God, Jesus Christ.
@lespaul382 having a repentant heart doesn't mean a person no longer sins. It means we no longer habitually keep sinning........ When a believer sins we repent asking forgiveness for it and not do that sin again. If we don't repent the Holy Spirit will chastise us to correct our actions.......... While a habitual sinner keeps doing the sins with no need or want to stop, and doesn't think they are doing anything wrong........

Salvation is a free gift. Abraham believed God will fulfill the promise, his faith is counted as righteousness. Similarly, when we believe Jesus died for our sins buried and rose again on the 3rd day for our Justification, our faith is counted as righteousness. "It is finished" Should believe 100% on Jesus alone for Eternal life. If someone believe 50% on Jesus and 50% on his good works- he believed in vain.
I believe we are saved by grace through faith (justification). But we also have a part to uphold in the relationship as scripture supports (sanctification). Matthew 25:41-46. Why does Jesus send these to hell? No faith? They didn’t believe? How do you reconcile this? How do you reconcile John 14-15? Or Matthew 7:24-27? It can’t be. It must be ignored or omitted to support the idea works are not a part of the Christian life.

I can't wait for persecution. I love God and I want him. The Lord is preparing me to be his child. All the praise goes to him. All hail jesus, The Almighty God. I can't wait to see him. I suppose they were rejected. In other words, they were never really saved. Now we know why it is called the terrible Day of the Lord. Many will think they are saved. Actually that verse is about people trying to get in by their works and not believing on Christ alone! To do the will of the Father is to Believe on the one He has sent! Another example is at the wedding feast, the man who was not dressed in the righteous robe and was thrown out because he was trying to get in by his own works or goodness. We have to believe that Christ has already done the work, there is nothing we can do to get in on our own merit! Keeping the law. don't sin etc. etc, we cannot keep the law or the 10 commandments.

OK, so if you are a believer can you not not murder? Can you not steal? Can you not not commit adultery? - your girlfriend/wife would be pretty upset if your reason for not being faithful is because it's impossible to keep the commandments. Pray for wisdom and discernment. The devil is very crafty at getting believers to lay down the Word and just believe. You can say "I believe that it is the Word of God"! Well what does it say? "I am not really sure. Talks a lot about Jew's and Jewish laws, but I am a Gentile". So what do you do? "Not much really. Just believe - oh, and love, yep love. That's all I gotta do". So you have laid down the Word - the Sword and the devil comes right after you. Then when you cry "Lord, Lord" you could hear "depart from Me you worker of Lawlessness".
I took that to mean the people wo committed the impardonable sin. Those who once believed and accepted Him but fell away. You're dipping into salvation by works which tye scripture also speaks against.
You made a few points I don’t want to be too specific but I came away asking this. What do natural people think when they believe in God? I know the natural, the Adamic cant know God because God is Spirit and to know Him, we must also be of the Spirit which is really what salvation is all about. Most make it about sin. I think they have to because for them sin is the ball game. The truth is sin is not a thing it’s the absence of. Like cold or dark. Yes, they are real but its only cold if you take away heat. I also become frustrated by people that quote Matthew 21 and get as far as the will of My Father and stop? Is knowing that will a problem? Why is it that whenever I hear that, no one quotes John 6:40 with it? I could be wrong but it strikes me that most think the will is keeping the law? I never hear the Gospel; I never hear true witness. What I do hear all over the place is admonishment for dead men to do better, Fruit counting. Because its very clear to me the church small c is full of dead people including the ministers that are convinced, they are doing just fine. Altar calls/preachers/zealots who tell us to “Confess that you’re a sinner and ask Jesus into your heart and you will be saved.” False. Conviction by man/self leads to remorse. Like Judas. You’re using this out of context. Paul is talking to the Roman’s. You need to read the first 11 chapters continuously. He’s explaining they’re not under the law but under grace now in a way Roman’s can understand. Sure, we can apply the over arching message today, but taking a single verse to make your point like that doesn’t work. The writer of Hebrews similarly uses the old and new covenant to explain grace in a way they can understand. You have to look at the writings as a whole. We are saved by grace and not works. But that’s just the beginning. That’s called justification. What Jesus did is enough. And to show my faith I’m going to put it into action like we are instructed to do. You want to know what works and how many? Read your word. All of it. Read Matthew 25. Read John 14 and 15. Love your neighbor. Go make disciples. Keep his commandments. The one who hungers and thirsts for righteousness will be filled. So many treat faith like some transactional experience. Punch your ticket, get yours, and just move on. When he makes it clear we are in relationship, which requires effort on our end (John 15). Many don’t want to hear that. Even the demons “believe” and they shudder. Will they be in heaven too? According to OSAS they will. “Just believe!”They certainly know Jesus is the son of God. You can’t cherry pick verses in the Bible and ignore the parts you want to ignore. OSAS, the doctrine being pushed that teaches people to ignore obedience, righteousness, and holiness, is “new revelation” and is forced to ignore a great portion of the Bible and many of Jesus’ own words.
The Lord is warning people not to trust in their work to save them. But to do the will of the Father. And what is the will of the Father. Jesus said to believe on the Son is the will of the Father . Faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ is the only way we enter.

It requires Holy Spirit Guidance and compliance and by following directions, the Lord comes to know us and we His voice. Those choosing a wider method simply go wherever they want or are told by someone else. It echoes Peter’s response to the Lord. Who do the people say I am and what about you? Peter answers correctly not only in content but method; not through flesh and blood but by the Father. This IS the rock foundation upon which His Church IS built, which no alternative gates of Hell will prevail. God/Son asks, we obediently respond in the affirmative by listening to Him and He empowers a successful outcome. This is why the Lord never said or did anything he did not see/hear from the Father through the Holy Spirit. All pseudo or counterfeit church, man-made or devil inspired? Yes brother you are a spot on. I have discovered through the gift of the Holy Spirit and through the Word of God that humility is the greatest strength of love. Jesus teaches humility and this I believe is why many don’t want him. He has humbled me time and time again, and continues to do so, and I embrace it because I love him-he has my heart❤ All I do in my life now, as I build intimacy with him, is simply because I just love him. He is worth all suffering, all persecution, all rejection, and certainly worth rejecting anything in the flesh that gives worldly pleasure. He has taken me down to a place of humility, so that I might trust him love him and cherish him as I should. Jesus said you will know them by their fruits. You are correct that our focus is to love Jesus and love people. Loving others is the hardest because of how awful others can act. Love God and love our neighbor as ourself. I see John 6:29 as a parallel passage to this passage. Here we see the false teachers calling Jesus Lord and saying, "did we not do mighty WORKS?" but Jesus says, "I never KNEW you." John 6:29 says, "The WORK of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." As it is also written, "The Just shall live through faith."

Its showing two types of Christians coming up to Jesus, those that do the father's will which is trusing in Christ and what he did vs those who trust in themselves and what they do. Jesus accepts those who are imputed righteousness by faith and rejects those who are self righteous. The self righteous work for salvation. They go about to establish their own righteousness rather than trusting in God's righteousness and thus they arent covered by Grace. Making themselves sinners before God.

When works become a requirement you are no longer under grace. Because grace is unmerited favor aka you cant earn it. This is explained here

Notice how theres no grey area and how the second you add works to grace its no longer grace. Its either one or the other but not both. Either jesus pays the penalty for your sins on the cross or you take the pentalty of sin on yourself. And the wages of sin is death, jesus didnt want us to perish so he took that punishment for us, so by you taking it on yourself you are denying christ and thus now the punishment falls on you. Theres no amount of works of righteousness that undoes the sin you have done. Same logic would apply in a courtroom today. If you were to kill a bunch of people one day, and then donate to a charity the next day, you'd still have to face punishment for the murders you did the day before because your good actions today doesnt undo the crimes from yesterday. Even if you were to apologize there's still justice that needs to be upheld especially with a Just God. This is why he sent jesus to begin with so that he can act as our scapegoat. He took our punishment with him on the cross and died for our iniquities, and rose again on the third day so that we may do the same. When God see's a believer, he doesnt see our sin but rather he sees the righteousness of christ imputed unto us which is why you ought to lean on jesus because he's the solution to that problem and without him, unfortunately it'd be straight to the lake of fire for you.

Thank you for your videos, since coming to you and Louis Scott I have been more at ease with my faith and being able to abid in Christ a lot smoother than I have ever been able to. I was battling my flesh on my own because of fear I didn't love God enough, instead of coming to Christ with open arms I came but still had MY hands on the world of things to fix instead of just realizing that the only thing I had to do was just Love, allowing Christ to shine through me and just trusting in him to make people's hearts grow. Its honestly a whole lot more weight lifted off of me than I ever known, I thought I had weight lifted off of me but only realizing I just gave God portions to carry instead trusting him with the whole load. I like what you said about giving God portions to carry, that is so true of many of us. I used to look at, "My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.", as my guide to how well I was doing. When the yoke hurts, I'm struggling in some way against Him. I was choked by the yoke till I learned to walk right, with Jesus, instead of against Him. And the load is better distributed between us, now. I have the questions, and He has all the answers, Hallelujah!!! Went to a friends home to teach some scripture. Had everything all ready etc. Long/short; soon after we sat down she asked me "what happens to the prayers we say to God?" Wow! NOT what I was there to teach. Felt inside - how can I communicate this VERY deep subject to this baby of the faith?" Well - I didn't - the Holy Spirit did. He helped me with bringing to my mind all that I knew about this subject, helped me remember things and speak gently and at her baby-faith level. I TRULY could NOT have done this on my own - EVER. Have never had this ever happen again afterward. But, when God wants something, or someone, to KNOW what HE needs them to know - God WILL use us for HIS glory. This, to me, was the Holy Spirit at work - not me. I believe this is HOW God wants things done. Love what you are teaching in this video - thank you.

Wrong, this is about people who think their works are going to save them. They all say " Lord, did WE NOT ". This scripture messed me up and hurt me. I put my Bible down and went for a walk. I had done the same when I read about the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit I went for a walk and God spoke to me. This time I decided to do the same and go for a walk. I went outside but it was raining. I didn't want to go back to my room after reading that. I went to my car and got in the passenger side and turned on the radio to listen to some music. The radio was on Christian radio and a voice came on. It was The Moody Bible Institute talking about a hard saying in the Bible. It was THIS scripture on the radio. I felt like my jaw hit the floor. All I can say is God set that all up from me getting to the that scripture to the rain, to the radio having that program on. He is God of all !

That verse in Matthew is talking about people who are trusting in works salvation that are not saved. He never knew them because they believe it’s not only by faith.

I feel like I'm not capable of anything sometimes, I'm just scared i'm not enough, no matter what I do no matter how hard I try to focus on Christ and his love I fall in spiral of thinking that maybe I'm just empty inside and just doing it because I fear the judgment. I think i might have some kind of depression i never tried to diagnose it because everyone just yells at me when i brought it up. I don't know what to do anymore. One day I feel his love and that i'm doing something right then another day I feel like I'm the source of pain and destruction. It is hard....
Take heart my friend! Salvation is the free gift of God...if you believe that Jesus paid for your sin and was raised for your justification then you have become a child of God! A new creature!Now you need to renew ur mind in the truth of who u r in Christ and the richness of His glorious inheritance in the saints! Focus on Jesus not your failures and feelings...find some grace channels to help you grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus...don't let anyone steal ur crown of joy or bring u into bondage and fear. Remember we're not saved by our works...and even turning from sin is a work...no we're justified by faith alone. in Matthew 7:15 is explained that the many false teachers will appear (ministers of sects, cults and false religions) and Christ then gives one method of how to identify them.

Matthew 24 continues on the same topic but with different perspective we are given an example of persons who build upon the sand (the legion of sects and cults) and a wise man who is building upon the Rock (means the historic Church which Christ started and which is His Body on earth) but the term "rock" also refers to the orthodox bishops who confess orthodoxy like St Peter and succeed the apostles through apostolic succession. He further explains that outside the Church, there is no salvation, just like outside noah's ark there was no salvation.
The entire massage concludes with Matthew 28, signifying the importance of authority, because the kingdom of God is not chaos but order, Just like Jesus came from the Father, so He send the apostles by the same authority, and the apostles ordained successors/bishops/priests by the same authority, and nobody can start his own "new thing" If someone want to join the Church he has to accept and submit everything the Church teaches and guard it.
Here is the catch, all the sects, cults, false teachers, they always say that the historic church was somehow defeated by the gates of hell and is very corrupt, but luckily they were send by God to repair the damage or that they are the first illuminated in 1000 years to properly tell you what the bible says, or maybe give you new bible altogether or any list of lunacies. This demonic state is usually assisted by false miracles (by demons) so the deceived person can then have "proof" that he/she is on the right path because of "supernatural" experiences, puffed up with vanity and not knowing that he/she is being mocked and ridiculed by demons.
The reason I have a hard time is that all Christian sects seem to claim that there teaching is the truth and bash each other and this one of the main reasons why I struggle with the Christian faith..

i also heard of this one NDE of a man who arrived at the gates of Heaven, and the man-whom was believed later to be Jesus-was guarding the gates, telling him he's not getting in. he'd been called several times to return to Jesus, but he didn't, even though he was a born again Christian later.
i've been eating healthy as much as i can-vegetables, etc. all i can feel from Jesus and God is how it's too late and how disappointed they are with me. i'm a 44 year old failure.

First, I am glad you pointed out that KNOW THEM BY FRUITS is about protecting yourself from false teachers/prophets and not how we can judge another’s eternal destiny.
The entire sermon is addressed to everyone in the crowd, and chapter 7 is all about ALL professing believers not being led astray. ONE of those ways is to BEWARE OF FALSE TEACHERS/PROPHETS.
The focus then shifts right back in verse 21 to, “everyone who says Lord Lord,” not just false teachers/prophets. This statement fits anyone PROFESSING faith.
Two of the three things are spiritual gifts, which CANNOT be works of our own and must come from God (a kind of good fruit that is really a work of God) or these are false miracles from Satan (bad fruit). Great works can then refer to anything we do that looks holy and impressive. So this is not just about Pentecostal nonsense even though that is very dangerous. There is even the danger of reducing faith to a formulaic incantation of IN JESUS NAME.
You seemed to skip over the, “I NEVER knew you,” indicating these people were never saved.
Whenever talking about works, we have to remember that God ordains GOOD works that we may walk in them. Unfortunately free grace types will point to a desire for God work through you as a possible danger of trying to earn the salvation you already have.
I have read that the phrase "I never knew you" is a Near Eastern way of saying "I disown you". When we native English speakers here the translation, "I never knew you", we tend to think of that literally, when it may in fact not be literal

The lawlessness that you are referring to is the lack of those following the commandments. In other words, it's describing those who no longer think they are under the law or need to practice the law. The definition of "lawless". And through an increase in this lawlessness in the latter days, which we clearly see within Christendom, the love of most will grow cold
Correct. But what it means to be under the Law is being under the penalty of the Law. Messiah has paid the price of the Law's penalty. Therefore, we are not under the Law in that regard. We are free to keep God's Law without needing to worry about the penalty.
My understanding is that we are keeping the Law without perfection now while looking forward to the New Person we will be when Messiah returns and we are transformed to be like Him. From that point on, we will keep God's Law perfectly. And as Messiah said in Matthew 5, the written form of the Law can disappear at that time because as Jeremiah said in chapter 31 verses 33 and 34, no one will need to teach anyone about God or God's Law for everyone will know God and His Law will be written on their heart.

It never occurred to me people can actually get distracted and tripped up by focusing too much on reading the letter of the law in the Bible instead of understanding the spirit of the law in the Bible. So many different opinions and angles, then comes the temptation of setting other people “right” or “correcting” them. It is a spiritual danger to Christians.

To be known by God means to submit our will to His will in loving relationship, which requires us to lay down our lives to the word (Jesus) of God and to walk daily in the spirit and to fill ourselves with the Word (The Bible) I order to know what the fathers will is in every moment of our lives. Through sanctification our heart is transformed to align more and more with Jesus’. But only by the Holy Spirit can this be accomplished which is manifested through the fruits of the spirit, our works and deeds. We are to pray for God to search our hearts and reveal any evil way in ourselves and by His power help us remove that in us but He cannot if we don’t take the steps by getting in our word and riding ourselves of the flesh. The flesh can never be made sinless. Jesus gave His life for us because of that, not the other way around. You are confusing discipleship with salvation. Salvation is a FREE gift from God. We don't have to work for it! If we think we do have to work, then it is not FREE and that grace will not be given! The wide road to destruction is paved with good works! The narrow gate is His blood and imputed righteousness only, not a list of do's and don'ts.

We do not keep God's Law perfectly. We will not be able to do that until we are given our new bodies when Messiah transforms us at His second coming. After being saved, we can keep God's Law without fear of the penalty, namely death, for not keeping it perfectly. We trust Messiah for paying the price for us.

Read these verses in context both general and historical and even more so the verses surrounding and descending it, especially Hebrews and Corinthians.
Hebrews 10 is about how animal sacrifices can't pay for sin.
Revelation 3:16 is about peoppe who mox Law and grace, they are lukewarm.
Philippians 2 is about standing in the Gospel, aka believing the Gospel = obeying the Gospel.
Luke 21 is about the great tribulation, not salvation.
1 Corinthians 6 in context is about how believers were letting unbelievers to pass judgement on the body of Christ. The unrighteous are unbelievers, a believer CAN'T be unrighteous even if they do all these sins listed, because they have the imputed righteousness of God in Christ. Saying that believers can be unrighteous for doing these things, proves that you don't believe the Gospel, and you think that God is unrighteous for justifying sinners freely by His grace. Also, literally the very next verse, which you self righteous Pharisees ALWAYS leave out, says that the Corinthians WERE some of these kinds of people (in flesh), but ARE washed, ARE sanctified, ARE justified in the name of the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

Salvation is a free gift. Abraham believed God will fulfill the promise, his faith is counted as righteousness. Similarly, when we believe Jesus died for our sins buried and rose again on the 3rd day for our Justification, our faith is counted as righteousness. "It is finished"
Should believe 100% on Jesus alone for Eternal life. If someone believe 50% on Jesus and 50% on his good works- he believed in vain.
I believe we are saved by grace through faith (justification). But we also have a part to uphold in the relationship as scripture supports (sanctification). Matthew 25:41-46. Why does Jesus send these to hell? No faith? They didn’t believe? How do you reconcile this? How do you reconcile John 14-15? Or Matthew 7:24-27? It can’t be. It must be ignored or omitted to support the idea works are not a part of the Christian life.

I suppose they were rejected. In other words, they were never really saved. Now we know why it is called the terrible Day of the Lord. Many will think they are saved. Actually that verse is about people trying to get in by their works and not believing on Christ alone! To do the will of the Father is to Believe on the one He has sent! Another example is at the wedding feast, the man who was not dressed in the righteous robe and was thrown out because he was trying to get in by his own works or goodness. We have to believe that Christ has already done the work, there is nothing we can do to get in on our own merit! Keeping the law. don't sin etc. etc, we cannot keep the law or the 10 commandments.

OK, so if you are a believer can you not not murder? Can you not steal? Can you not not commit adultery? - your girlfriend/wife would be pretty upset if your reason for not being faithful is because it's impossible to keep the commandments.

I took that to mean the people wo committed the impardonable sin. Those who once believed and accepted Him but fell away. You're dipping into salvation by works which tye scripture also speaks against.
You made a few points I don’t want to be too specific but I came away asking this. What do natural people think when they believe in God? I know the natural, the Adamic cant know God because God is Spirit and to know Him, we must also be of the Spirit which is really what salvation is all about. Most make it about sin. I think they have to because for them sin is the ball game. The truth is sin is not a thing it’s the absence of. Like cold or dark. Yes, they are real but its only cold if you take away heat. I hope I am, but listening to this I got that impression.
*Jeremiah 31:33 “For this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord: “I will put My law within them and write it on their heart; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.*
If God does not want us to keep His Law then why would He write in on believer's heart so they would keep it?
Obviously that is one thing that is in accordance with His will.
*John 6:40 For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”*
And believing in Messiah is the will of God. Believing Messiah would also include doing what He said. He told us to keep the Law, even the least of the commandments and to teach others to keep the Law. So, there is more to believing Messiah than just trusting in what He did to pay the price for our sins so we could have a relationship with God.
*Revelation 14:12 Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.*
Here we see that the saints keep the commandments of God AND have faith in Messiah.

Altar calls/preachers/zealots who tell us to “Confess that you’re a sinner and ask Jesus into your heart and you will be saved.” False. Conviction by man/self leads to remorse. Like Judas.
Only God can convict us to REPENTANCE: Jesus clearly tells us: No man can go to Him (to Jesus) unless God, the Father, draws him (man). John 6:44. Only God can lead us to Christ. Jesus will see the work of the Father in us and save us. And know us forever. Only God can reveal the SON to man-as He did to Peter. Matthew 16:17

You’re using this out of context. Paul is talking to the Roman’s. You need to read the first 11 chapters continuously. He’s explaining they’re not under the law but under grace now in a way Roman’s can understand. Sure, we can apply the over arching message today, but taking a single verse to make your point like that doesn’t work. The writer of Hebrews similarly uses the old and new covenant to explain grace in a way they can understand. You have to look at the writings as a whole.
We are saved by grace and not works. But that’s just the beginning. That’s called justification. What Jesus did is enough. And to show my faith I’m going to put it into action like we are instructed to do. You want to know what works and how many? Read your word. All of it. Read Matthew 25. Read John 14 and 15. Love your neighbor. Go make disciples. Keep his commandments. The one who hungers and thirsts for righteousness will be filled.
So many treat faith like some transactional experience. Punch your ticket, get yours, and just move on. When he makes it clear we are in relationship, which requires effort on our end (John 15). Many don’t want to hear that. Even the demons “believe” and they shudder. Will they be in heaven too? According to OSAS they will. “Just believe!”They certainly know Jesus is the son of God. You can’t cherry pick verses in the Bible and ignore the parts you want to ignore. OSAS, the doctrine being pushed that teaches people to ignore obedience, righteousness, and holiness, is “new revelation” and is forced to ignore a great portion of the Bible and many of Jesus’ own words.
