    Thank you for sharing this video! Very informative. You make it look so simple, and feathers are still a bit difficult for me! I’m excited to sit and practice. Thank you!!! 😎😍

      I do not know if you will believe me but I have times when feathers are difficult for me too. It is better now but my first attempts were simply bad. But I made them, I analyzed and compared with a result that I liked. I realized that the main problem was in the angle how I was quilting the plume. I watched good videos (Adria Good is really good with feathers) and I got better. Analysis of the shape and practice with a bit of time and patiance. ❤❤❤

    I’m American and have always thought feathers looked more like fern plants than bird feathers too

    • @quiltingnerd
      @quiltingnerd  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It was funny for me, as I first saw the pattern and then I learned the name.... it was too late. In my head they are ferns....I coused lots of fun when I mentioned that to other quilters. However, they do have a wonderful leafy character ❤❤❤

    It`s wonderful watching your explanations of making feather. Could I please ask what needle size and thread you use please. Thank you so much!

    • @quiltingnerd
      @quiltingnerd  22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you for your feedback!. So the needle size may depend a bit on you machine. With my previous model I was happy using 75. Now I use 90 or my thread will shred more often than not. 80 is also fine. I use quilting needles with titanium. Thred: 50 wt cotton, or 40 wt polyester, embroidery thread....Whatever works and is of good quality. ❤❤❤
