I panicked and almost did not finish it! – four patch transformation 5/5 – spiral illusion
Today I present the last installment in this short series. I had no clear concept for thie last four patch and as always, the project kind of took over. I had serious doubts when I was in the middle of my quilting process. I was sure, I will be not able to show you this video because I was not really happy with it. Good I did not give up, as this block turned out simply great. Yes, it is different than the others, but it looks good.
I used the spiral illusion technique to quilt it. I made already few videos on this method, here are the links:

Transform your four patch block into a star - free motion quilting of 4-patch block 4/5

This is a very good philosophy! Exactly. If we will obsess overy every little thing we will never finish or even start anything. I see it so often during my quilting classes. @@marveldonovan5425 you kidding 😂. I would say, our name is legion 😂😂😂😂. We all make mistakes. We are humans, we do things with our hands. I admit that I was a horrible perfectionist. Making mistakes gave me anxiety attacks. Quilting made me relax and accept this side of me. I got better at handling stress at work and a better teacher. So yeah, I leave the mistakes in the video. Ok, most of them 😉. Hug's

    • @quiltingnerd

Thank you!. I started with 6 inches squares, so 11.5. Good size to make a quilt and good size to try different quilting patterns. ❤❤❤

Thank you for your comment! I used 6 inch squares, so, at the end I had 11.5. It is a good size for a fast quilt, and large enough for quilting diferent patterns. ❤❤❤

@@annmargaret1639 Glad to help. If you are a beginner (welcome to the club, by the way) just start with larger pieces of fabrics. Doodling is a good transition to quilting, just to get the feel.
