I had a hard time getting to the end because I hurt my back moving 5 gal buckets of garden soil around, but it's done nonetheless. I hate when needles break, but I've been there with too thick seams a time or two. I think I'll wait for the weather to cool before I start another project, tired of dealing with the unusual heat this summer. This is a lovely piece you've created. ~Cynthia

What type of machine are you using and what speed do you have it set at? I noticed the needle is going up and down pretty fast, but your stitches are pretty even.

Hi! I am using Janome M7. My speed is always around middle levels and I do not press my pedal all the way down. The needle looks fast, but with such things it is difficult to judge, as the camera acquisition rates may not match. I do not use a stich regulator, just quilt at a constant rate. I do not rush. Quilting is a slow art.❤❤❤

Your designs are stunning but your precision is amazing!! Rarely can even tell that you have gone over a pattern to move to a different area. It seems part of it is not to go too fast. I’m definitely going to make some sandwich blocks to work on. Thank you for such wonderful videos.

You are right, the speed is an important factor. I found one that is perfect for me. Imagine the perfect way for water to flow from one place to another. It is like that for me I try to get my ideas from my head on the fabrics. If my hands move too fast then I will panick trying to match the flow of my ideas...Thank you for your kind comment!

Hi Lesley! I am simply letting go.... I have projects where I just quilted lines just to see how they work. Too boring for a YT video but great mental exercise. But this series was a special fun. The colors, the accumulated thread.... Thank you for all your comments!!!!

You have such a talent! What do you do with these "practice/training" pieces when complete? Pillows? Placemats?

Thank you for your feedback! I have accumulated a large number of projects. I turn them into pillows, wall hangings, cosmetic bags....Some are still waiting for their final definition.... I have to change my strategy ;)

Beautiful, you are the first person I’ve ever seen whose quilting is like fun doodling. It’s marvelous texture makes it more like embroidery, turning the fabric into such a unique, rich piece of cloth and treasure!!! How WONDERFUL!!! Thank you very much. ✨💖✨

Thank you for your kind comment. I am not the first one, but tere are not many of those, this is true. Also, I like changing colors and playing with contrast. I started doing that because it is easier to film but it turned out I love it. Also, doodling is a great way to leran and relax. So it is a win-win ❤❤❤

Thank you for your comment. You do not need the language. I stich very slow and it is easy to follow. You may be 73 years old, but your soul is still young and creative. This is fantastic. Thank you for your wishes! ❤❤❤

Your sense of what the design needs is wonderful. The rhythm of a sewing machine is relaxing, but my mind is whirling with the variety of designs you choose that all flow and work together.

I did experiment a lot in the last two years, that helps, also, most of the designs fit together. In this case I tend to go with more abstract designs. Also, if you separate the designs with echo lines it helps to put them together, in a way. Thank you for your beautiful comment!❤❤❤
