I learned quilting from various books and videos. Most of them are for long arm quilters but the knowledge can be adapted for domestic machines. This channel is for others who love quilting and want to try it at home

Wonderful. So very inspiring. . . I seem to say the same thing each time, but truly, you make it so much easier to follow. Thank you as always 🌹
Спасибо! ❤👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Mesmerizing. So relaxing to watch. Wondering, do YOU listen to music while sewing? I'm always inspired after watching you.
Again I appreciate your gift of these meditations and teachings. Kathryn
Very inspiring
What pretty variegated thread! Very nice, Gosia. I certainly could use some of that relaxed quilting about now. I can see how this particular design would work for one allover quilt pattern, could knock it out quickly. I want to do something like it on my next project.I hope your week is going well. Thank you for another inspirational video. ~Cynthia
Great job as always.
Thank you, this is beautiful. I think I will try to copy it, somewhat, for my next practice piece. 😊
You are so graceful and artistic. Thank you. ❤🎉❤
I really enjoy your videos. Keep on keeping on!
Just been gob-smacked … again. Your work is lovely.
😂. Not so bad I hope, Thank you most kindly! ❤❤❤❤
Oh I am so very grateful!!! with your help I FINALLY "GOT IT" and was totally successful for the first time and I am so happy!! Thank You so so so much!! It makes perfect sense to my brain FINALLY!!!!
I am very happy to hear it! Sometimes to learn about one thing we need input from different perspectives. There is no one right way to do something. I like to read about complex problems from different books. Helps me to understand. I have few more videos on practicing different patterns ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I really enjoy watching your videos right before bedtime. It relaxes me and also maybe helps me think about relaxed free motion quilting while I sleep!
Thank you for your feedback. I love such comments. The best ones are about lowering the blood pressure and falling asleep in the middle of the video 😉. Rewatch as needed ! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Of all the videos I've watched of yours. this one touched me deeply and personally... it resonated in a way which will impact my free motion art quilting going forward. Thank you QUILTING NERD for this incredible gift.
Dear Kathryn, Thank you for this feedback. I know what you mean. Life can be overwhelming. I have a full time job, familiy, hobbies. I made my life difficult by being perfecionist. Quilting helped me to get rid of toxic habits: I started accepting my mistakes as lessons, I learned to accept compliments, I learned to recognize my progress as a result of work and not of luck....And it is slow, I can start thinking again, sorting the laud "truths" from my quiet ones. In a way being a quilter makes me a rebel 😉I will try to provide more. Sending hugs! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I also love this shade of green fabric! It definitely soothes!
Thank you! Green is sometimes difficult to film but it worked good this time ❤️❤️❤️❤️
👍👍❤️❤️❤️
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You got your mojo back. Quilting is very relaxing.
Hi Robin, The mojo is back for now. It is all about getting into the rythm again. And such fluctuation in creativity are normal. I missed making such projects. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
What kind of machine do you use and what stitch length? Your work is amazing!
Hi! I have a Janome M7, before that a Horizon model, worked great. I do not have a stich length defined. I do not use a stich regulator. I set my speed to middle range and move my fabric at slow rate. Works very good for me. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Your stitching is very smooth and accurate! Thank you for your videos.
Very nice, definitely relaxing. On my way to bed, so I watched it at the perfect time. ❤❤~Cynthia
I hope, it helped you to fall asleep ;) ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes, I was out like a light. So very soothing to watch..I want to get back to mine soon, miss it. Still not quite healed from this persistent cough, but I'll get there!
@@rootsrocksfeathers1975 I hope you will get well soon. We need time and energy for our positive hobbies! ❤❤❤
@@quiltingnerd Thanks, my friend. I need my quilting! As Angela Walters says, quilting is my therapy!
Splendide vivement la suite ❤❤❤
I just finished it but did not film! I will come with more ideas! ❤❤❤
You do such a beautiful job! Thanks for sharing. Life is rough right now for so many. Happy you found your groove.
I was a bit out of rythm, as I focused on finishing some of the projects. And sometimes the wrok load and stress level is impacting my creativity. It was good to let go and just quilt. You are right. Life is rough on many people in many parts of the world. Not always, we can help directly, but we can help where we can. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. You found your mojo !
Thank you most kindly. I did and I hope it will stay for a while 😉❤️❤️❤️
I love this improv style of quilting, but am particularly fascinated with the design you worked between 26:04 - 27:20.

Your mojo is definitely back!! Beautiful work!!
Hi Patricia! Yes, I found it again. It took some of my books on quilting looking for inspiration and it worked! ❤️❤️❤️
🥰🥰🥰
Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
❤ this is very beautiful and soothing ❤ thank you
I tried to provide exactly that. We need some quiet in our life ❤️❤️❤️
This is beautiful quilting . I don’t know how you get the echos the exact distance . I guess practice.
Your guess is correct. We had this discussion during my last quilting class. With time your hands know where they where. it is all about muscle memmory. ❤️❤️❤️
Working on charity quilts for my quilting guild. The twisted ribbon will be included in the valentine’s quilt I’m currently sewing. I am so excited!! I learn so much from you. Thank you!!
@@marveldonovan5425 you are a very busy quilter! Great! Your recent comments tell me that you found this inner drive, you know what to do and how to do it. You are bubbling with creativity. It is Saturday morning here and you just made me smile 😊❤️❤️❤️❤️. Thank you.
I think your designs would look fabulous incorporated into clothing. The light blue sample would be a perfect back on a Jean jacket. I like any type of quilted bag: cosmetic, coin, purse, etc. you are so talented!!!
Thank you! I am thinking about quilting 2 square meters of fabric for a jacket. Something between extravagant and bussiness that I can also wear to work for more official presentations or lectures....
That’s a fabulous idea and a huge advertisement for your talent, skill, and creativity. Go for it!!
I only quilt on my sewing machine at home. You have taught me how well that can be done. Thank you!! You are a fabulous quilter and teacher!! ❤❤❤ Great way to use your samples. Simply gorgeous projects!!
I am so happy to hear that! I am so greatful for your feedback! It is great to know that in a way we meet when we quilt....I wish you many wonderful quilting omments and many beautiful projects. Hugs! ❤️❤️❤️
You can tear it up quilting them feathers 👍
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That's brilliant. I can't wait to see them joining together ❤
Thank you! Now I have to decide which color I will use. With so many colors and intensities, it has to be something neutral...❤️❤️❤️
Thanks, I really hated that you had to cut them smaller but the final project will be lovely. Courage!! Thanks for all your informative videos.
Thank you! It was difficult for me. I had this ides already a long time ago but could not proceed. Every time I was sorting the projects I wanted to keep it for something larger. Then I run out of space...🤣❤️❤️❤️
I understand you have to do something with them but it hurt me a little bit when you were cutting through all that beautiful quilted you did😂.... I am excited to see how you're going to put them together ☺️
It was super difficult for me. The sorting and agonizing....but I have to be practical. I am "producing" such quilt sandwiches at high rate and I am running out of storage. Now I have to decide whiahc color I will use to join the elements together.... decisions...❤️❤️❤️
From practice pieces, I’ve made a few placemats, as well as several zippered pouches and more recently I made 3 or 4 pouches for reading glasses that I keep in various spots in the house for convenience. I’m interested to see how you join your squares.
Thank you for this comment! Yes! the quilts have to be used one way or another. I am still in the process of cutting. I have about 120 squares (more than enough) and cut elements for four more cosmetic bags. And I am sure I have more hidden in different corners of the bedroom... ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video!!!
You are very welcome! I hope, I provided some ideas 😉❤️❤️❤️
You definitely gave me some great ideas. Thank you again.
I look forward to all your videos , you continue to be an inspiration to the creative world. Many thanks 1
Thank you most kindly for this wonderful comment! I will try for sure to keep up ❤️❤️❤️
Your projects are beautiful. What size sandwich do you start with to make the pouches and pillows?
Thank you! Most of the time I use fat quarter for the pillows (16 or 18 inch square when finished) for the cosmetic puches I need two rectangles. Most of the time I end with 8 inch by 11.5 inch elements. So a bit smaller than fat quarter. ❤️❤️❤️
Lovely pouches🥰
Thank you! I have now some supply of presents when needed 😁❤️❤️❤️ Usually I use chocolate cake as "Thank you" but sometimes such a small bag is even better ❤️❤️❤️
@@quiltingnerd love that idea!!💐💕
Love your projects especially the cream on cream❤
Thank you! I love it too. One day I want to make a whole quilt in queen or king size. ❤️❤️❤️
Do you ever fmq throw size quilts?
I quilted even larger. I made one or two videos on that as well. It is a bit challanging on a domestic machine. With my Janome Horizon I could quilt up to queen size. With the M7, I manage King as well. It takes several weeks, but it can be done. ❤️❤️❤️
Wonderful! Thank you!
Thank you for your kind feedback! ❤️❤️❤️
You have great ideas to use all your quilted sandwiches. Your quilting is stunning!
Thank you! I sorted my squares according to thir value using BW view on my camera... the quilting looked like graphic designs... I was surpried. We, quilters can create so much beauty ❤️❤️❤️
Such great ideas for all your beautiful quilting! ❤
I hope I can finish it and show it to the best advanatage ❤️❤️❤️
I really love the pouches. I have made iPad covers, cellphone holders and tote bags as smaller projects, but I've only put in one zipper in my life so would have to review that process !before I would try one if the bags. I particularly love the metallic thread on the dark fabric, so striking! I really need to try a quilt-as-you-go project some day. Have a wonderful week, Gosia~Cynthia
I made one project with metallic thread... I still have a lot of it but I am not sure I will repeat it. Maybe when I have a lot of time. It was sooooo slow. And please do not tell me about the zippers... I can manage them in between but it is always a bit of a struggle. Most of the time I need to cut them to size and so often I put the zipper tab on the wrong end or cut it too short... Once I will start the QAYG project I will video bits of it. Take care! ❤️❤️❤️
@@quiltingnerd Look forward to it!
I absolutely love your quilting, I have watched many videos from Angela Walters, equally in my opinion, your quilting is far more interesting, far more beautiful, your instructions are lot easier to follow, I have learnt so much from you...
Now I am blushing.... Thank you! I am making a screen shot of your feedback! Thank you. I love quilting, I love I can develop my more creative side and that I can use it to give back. It helps probably. Extra hugs! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
