So so beautiful and sorry for your stressful week may I pray for you?. Dear Lord bless this lady and take what is stressing out . thank you Lord for her beautiful talent that she shares with us. In Jesus name amen.
Thank you! Your comment goes to my collections of those special moments. This community is so generous. Thank you for your prayer. It is needed and very appriciated. It is not up to us if our prayers are answered, but they help in many different ways ❤❤❤
prayers are what get me through. I lost my husband of 52 yrs.in January. and I have my quilting and friends to pray for me. God is good no matter what. I will keep you in my prayers.
@@katherineshort7103 Thank you! You helped me already, believe me! My troubles did not go away, but I try to see them smaller. I am very sorry for your loss. I lost some people too and I realized that crafts, quilting, stiching...they help to create a state of mind where prayer is easier and better. I will keep you in my prayers as well. ❤
Thank you for your wonderful comment. For me, quilting is fun and a way of meditation. I can regain some distance and make beautiful things ... win, win ❤❤❤
I have dipped into your channel on and off over the last year for inspiration and I must congratulate you on how much you have improved. Your work is exquisite and so beautiful. I've been free motion quilting for about a year now and looking back on my work I can also see how much I have improved. When I began it felt strange, awkward and really difficult. Now I can sit at the machine and relax into it. It has become fluent for me. I often find myself drifting off into a kind of meditative state only to find I am quilting without thinking about it. I find it the most relaxing and rewarding skill I have ever learned. Each time I quilt, my skill set is enhanced and improved. I still make mistakes, its never perfect (whatever perfect is), but most of the mistakes are not visible in the bigger picture so I really don't pay much attention to them, I only try to improve next time. Quilting is a skill which can only be improved on and mastered over much time like any other skill. Thank you for sharing your lovely work and process. You are an inspiration for me. x
Thank you most kindly for this lovely feedback. Sometimes I am feel simply blessed because I am getting confirmation that I can help and provide ideas and inspiration. Quilting is a journey for me. I started almost eight years ago and I keep improving the whole time. The last two and a half years were an intense journey as I keep pushing my limits with new ideas. Watching my own work through the camera lens also helped. I aslo see my progress. I am happy to hear that you follow the same way. The ability to notice your own progress and build on it makes a great quilter. And yes, there is no perfect in quilting, or not in the sense of free of imperfection. Perfect quilt is one that is finished, and loved and gives you this moment of joy as you realize that you made it! I love making baby quilts or quilts for my boys. Something to love and put all the good wishes and hopes into it. It is a slow art and I love it. I hope, you will visit more often! ❤❤❤
Thankyou for sharing this beautiful and soothing video. So Sorry to hear you are having a stressful time. Thinking of you, and hoping you can find time here and there for some quilting 🧡
Thank you for your kind words. I am trying to find balance and keep my problems in the right perspective. Sometimes things seem larger than they are in the reality. However, being tired magnifies even small things. Quilting helps me for sure. I love the whole process so I will always find time for it! ❤❤❤
@@quiltingnerd that is so true! Did you use a timer? I thought I heard one go at the end. I often use a timer and then I say to myself 'I just did 30/45 mins' and i actually find it quite calming. I've no idea why , i just do🧡
@@sheilaghbolt3601 In this case I used a timer. Otherwise I would go on and I had only limited time. Most of tht time I quilt half an hour maybe one hour if I have more time. I use small steps approach. Every day a bit of quilting or reading. Since I have my sewing space it waorks great and I can finish my projects. I learned patiance....
Lovely. I was doing some of that today, but I think I need to do more of it. It's relaxing to watch as well as to do. Sorry about your stressful week, my friend. ~Cynthia
Hi Cynthia, unfortunately my stress levels will not change for quite some time, but notihng is forever. I just have to be patiant. I only hope I can find a bit of time for quilting. Hugs ❤❤❤
@@quiltingnerd I hope you can, too, Gosia. Seems life is synonymous with stress at this moment in time, especially. We all need some peace in our lives!
Oh, I am sorry to hear that. Please be patiant with your work and your skills. It takes time. And please do not compare your work to others, not like that. Sometime I take a look at photos on Pinterest and I see those beautiful quilts and I start to think that I am not good enough.... the point is, there is always someone better than us. If not now then in the future. So I learned to compare to my previous work. If I see improvement I am happy. By the way, there is a thread that dissolves in water. You can use it next time when you practice. It will fall apart when wet and ripping off is much easier 😅😉. Hugs and yes, next time it will be better!
