    This shows how following Jesus won't be easy, and will never be. Be strong in your faith, and if you ever doubt or get mocked for your faith, remember Jesus's disciples, and how they died for him.

      @@3vr1nii This is a popular mentality in religious cultist beliefs. Die for your faith, defeat the enemy. The enemy of God is Lucifer and his Lords, those who are not with God either need to be converted or are an enemy of thine God.
      Point being, all cults say "faith is not easy, let your faith remain unshaken in our monastery beliefs. " Meanwhile, there was nothing there to begin with. Yet, this ideal has spread far and wide. Many people use this same formula today in kidnapping and cultist enslavement. Christians do it too, in the form of conversion camps, mission trips, charity which goes to further the agenda. In the end of the day, people do TRULY believe in this, and anything anyone says is a "test of faith." So this entire comment will more than likely fall on deaf ears, because just like everyone else, I do hope there is something in the afterlife. Just not everlasting pious service.
      "For what have we to give once coin and toil has been expended? Lest we are buried in tossed soil to be lamented."
      One day, all of our eyes will close, and when they open, I hope to see all of you. I wish to understand just as you all do. How optimistic it is however to believe that perhaps our eyes will open again?

      it's tough to think about. especially if you haven't seen anything with your own eyes. many would deny him him to live, as did Simon Peter, and he experienced His physicality. it's not a fun thought at all. I'd like to think I'd die for him. But I am also human, with a 2 year old son that I raise by myself. I'd probably deny him, regret it, and beg for forgiveness while feeling like a coward. LUCKILY, he is a loving, forgiving God. I would use the time I bought with lies, to try to make up for the time I bought with lies. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.

    John was boiled in oil but somehow Survived and was banished to patmos. It is said that Roman emperor Domitian commanded that the apostle John be boiled to death in oil, but John only continued to preach from within the pot. Another time, John was forced to drink poison, but, as promised in Mark 16:18, it did not hurt him. Thus John, the head of the church in Ephesus at the time, was banished to Patmos in A.D. 97.

    Peter chose to be crucified upside down, he said ‘I am not worthy to die in the same manner as my Lord.’ He is a true example of how us Christians should be in life. Those short also displays very well the difficulty for Christians. In the reign of the Antichrist, we will all probably be killed, but that is momentary, and if we are able to spend eternity with Christ, I’m up for it. And remember guys, the mark of the beast isn’t ‘666’, it calculates to 666. May the Lord be with you all.

So.... why exactly did WE had to die, if he didn't?" After all they were all still only humans.

      @@s1b3r11 You think in the mode of equity. From that you would question why Elijah was taken and Elisha died. Why Daniel was saved and Stephen was stoned to death. That you got new shoes so I want new shoes is not the course we run as Christians. For some it is to die for your faith as a testimony. Others it is to live for your faith as a testimony. Each consequence has its purpose and we have not the discernment to question the decisions God makes for us for His purpose.

    • @s1b3r11
      @s1b3r11 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@mmlwriter1 first of all it's not really about equality but meaning. Daniel and Stephan can't be compared. Elisha and Elijah were also different from each other while all apostles were given the same mission by Jesus. In the new testament there are also few distinctions. Like Peter being singled out and chosen as the head of the church, then the fact that only Peter, John and James were allowed to witness transfiguration etc. So there are differences and no equality. The thing is.. they were all given the same mission as evident by Jesus' words. To share the Gospel. Now the persecution were prophesied and they all probably knew they had to give their lifes in order to give testimony and prove they weren't not making this up, since the God of the Bible doesn't enjoy torture for torture's sake. So I believe it would be the most logical and human reaction to have for the 11 to, upon meeting Jesus in heaven, be like 'yeah so you are telling us it wasn't necessary for us all to die in order to share the Gospel? And since you went out of your way to save John, can you please tell us again why did we have to die like that?'. I'm not saying there is no reason just that it would be the most logical reaction to have. And funny. Kind of in dark comedy sort of way.
