There is no such thing as you do what you want and abandon what you do not want. Religion is not designed for this. Everything is a religion that you must fulfill. Wanting to do forbidden things is often not forbidden, but you giving in to your feelings is forbidden. I pray that Jesus just gets rid of all the hate and prejudice from people’s hearts. As a person of the LGBTQ+ community, I need anyone who reads this to understand that I’m not looking for an argument. I pray every single day, and I am not a dirty or unclean person. I’m not lonely, or depressed. I’ve been kicked out of homes, assaulted, and been told I’m condemned to an eternity of torture for who I love. And everyday through all the shit I go through, I keep a smile and keep my kindness, praying that by the grace of god somebody out there would give me a break, and tell me how there’s a place for me in heaven as I am

"Why does God hate gay people?" is in the video thumbnail image. That's a loaded question, stating that God does hate people. The content of the video explains otherwise, while the image representing it is a misrepresentation of the content. To the video creator, thanks for your work, but please don't use clickbait. Misrepresentations can cause people to be confused or deceived. The truth can set us free from that.

I would argue this isn’t clickbait in the typical sense of the term. The video addresses that question as being a misunderstanding of the situation (look at around 2:00). It isn’t the primary focus of the video, but it is addressed. If it weren’t in the video at all that would be blatant clickbait.

    • @_Keith_
      @_Keith_ 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @cory.......................0
In the image it says "Why does", thereby asserting that it "does", in a literal sense. If it nixed the word "why" and began with "does" it would just be asking if it does, as a reasonable title.
It could be taken as a technicality, but words do have meaning, so it's possible for instance that someone would encounter the image and read it literally and imagine the content of the video to be the opposite of what it is, thereby creating a type of situation where in some cases it could prevent a person from even hearing the message at all; especially if it stopped them from playing the video in the first place, wherein it could reenforce a falsely negative idea of Christianity.
Clarity of direct, accurate, truthful information can matter. I'd just be trying to point that out, in case it matters here.
No ill will to the video creator.

Plus the hateful comments they give to the LGBT community it's really tough for us but we must avoid these places at all costs or we could lose our relationship with Jesus all because some religious dude is forcing us into being something we are not anymore. It is not loving to allow a person to remain stuck in sin. It is not hateful to tell a person he or she is in sin. In fact, the exact opposites are true. Sin leads to death (James 1:15), and we love the sinner by speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). We hate the sin by refusing to condone, ignore, or excuse it.

As an LGBT Christian I can say that while this video tries to give a good Christian explanation of being gay it falls flat in by not acknowledging that being gay is not just about lustfulness but also about romantic love, and also comparing it to pedophilia and bestiality. It also frames being gay as akin to a having disease and not being a part of your identity, it is possible to be gay and a good Christian. I would recommend you consider explain why is a sin, and that is (Unless proven otherwise) because God created the institution of marriage in genesis as the only way that he approves for men to fully express themselves sexually, and that is constituted by man and woman (Genesis 2:24, Mathew 19:4-6).
This implies that sex out of marriage, is as disapproved as homosexual behavior, but I guess we forgot about that in these times.
I also think that if not converted people, who clearly don't fear God, want to be in union, let them be, but don't make us call that marriage. Because marriage is not defined by you.
I don't think this is commented enough, so anyone that read this, please feel free to comment.

Sex outside of marriage is absolutely a sin, yep. The word for it was "Fornication" and the word "Fornicator" is abbreviated in a certain 4 letter curse that starts with F.
It's not a sin because 'God wants to ruin your good time' as some figure but diverging from God's plan here actively hurts. They've conducted studies that the amount of dopamine women release is reduced with each man. it's no longer a unique act of bonding between two halves who have become one whole, but a cheap thrill like a drug that leaves you feeling worse than before you dosed up.
To say nothing of how it affects people to maintain relationships and build families which is now seemingly unheard of in the latest generation that seem to barely be able to stand one another.

Here is my view on Christianity to the topic:
But first: I'm a Christian myself but my family wasn't really believers and didnt care at all (me and my Siblings only got Baptized as an "insurance" that we will be in the care of someone else in our family if they die), I knew about God but I didnt know what it actually means to me.
Only over Time I realized how big God's love is and how important we are to him, yet this also showed me how much we Christians actually suck in acting like Jesus wants us to.
Ghandi has read the Bible and said "I like your Christ but I don't like your Christianity" and this might also explain why so many People are turning away from God, it's Because the Christians don't act the way God wants us to act:
Standing with open arms to others and offer them to get to know God better, instead we hear things like "Murderer", "Rapist", "Homosexual" or even "Jew" or "Muslim" and then some if not most Christians inmediately turn away or just accept them and become more distant to them.
That's not what God wants us to do, he wants us to be welcoming to all Humans, no matter if they are sinners or not.
And I don't care if and in what extend homosexuality is a sin, but I am sure that God will always welcome you.

The teachings on LOVE and FORGIVENESS is about UNCONDITIONALLY LOVING and UNCONDITIONALLY FORGIVING ourselves and others, so that we can move on and NOT remain stuck in the pain of the past.
For we are NOT punished for our "sins," we are punished BY our "sins."
For the wages of "sin" is death.

Christ has been created to be a blessing and blessed on earth even as we have been born to be both blessing and blessed, for this is the nature of God revealed in His creation.
If you remember that "what you truly believe," is what you get, so can you not see that the belief in Christ paying our sins will bring you nothing but misery?
Believe in punishment and punishment is what you will get. Believe in killing and destruction as being the right way to reach God, and that is what you will experience-killing and destruction.

Only straight people will gladly say it’s a sin because they don’t know what it’s like to be us and therefore have no issue calling it “wrong or unnatural” if you lived in the shoes of someone gay you would realize that to them it truly does feel right and natural. Everyone can’t be straight and that doesn’t feel natural to a lot of people. Nobody asked to be gay, it’s something that a lot of people wish they could change. Our souls are genderless so to love another human regardless of gender is just as “real” as straight love. Straight doesn’t make someone righteous and gay doesn’t make someone wicked. Before we were TAUGHT it was wrong, we didn’t know that it was “wrong”, we just saw it as two people loving. How can that be wrong?

I was wholeheartedly convinced I was gay for many years. Finally met the first guy that I fell in love with. After he broke my heart I still mostly had sexual desires for females, so I said I was bi with a preference for women. But I was so broken by him I had no option but turn to my Savior. Jesus Christ delivered me from homosexual desires and I am now straight. I am very happy. He healed many horrendous mental disorders that I had been suffering from for years and had almost driven me to taking my own life twice. Homosexuality is a sin, which means it comes from the adversary, Satan. Once I turned my back on him my homosexual ways were gone. In fact, all sexual desire was gone, as it should be. I wish only for love, not lust. Lust is sinful and it is the root of homosexuality.
I also notice that your name had manifestations in it. I too was once a victim of the manifestation ideology. Please do not believe it. I would get tiny little results here and there, just enough to keep me hooked. This is because Satan still kept his powers as an angel and can perform miracles. He tricked me into thinking he was God, when he is a liar. The devil is always a liar. Despite the small little results here and there, it was never enough. I always needed more or the results weren't enough. And my mental health plummeted from an already bad state. I sincerely want to plead with you that even if you do not take away anything else from this conversation, please reconsider this part. If you turn to Christ and place your trust in him, you will have everything you need. Don't tether yourself with earthly desires and sadden your soul.
Please understand that I share this with you because I love you, and God commands you do these things because he loves you infinitely and unfathomably more than I can in my human limitations. I hope to see you in heaven. Please repent, deny yourself, and follow your Lord. You will know joy like nothing else. Because this is the meaning we have all been searching for. This is ultimate purpose.

Incorrect. There are plenty of gay or trans people that repented and are now telling people that it's a sin.
Souls genderless? Perhaps. But our physical bodies have gender as one of our main traits
It's not due to hate, it's due to love. God is love - but love can be harsh with the truth sometimes rather than kind with lies.
Edit: Even being born with a natural impulse doesn't make it good for you. Most of us have the natural impulse to eat lots of sugar, for example. So even if people can be born with that impulse (I am u sure if they can or not), doesn't mean it's good for them

Hi! I struggled with rationalizing homosexuality for a long time.
Your points you bring up are indeed things that I had to go through, and it SUCKED, but when you break out the other end of the tunnel, God gives you true freedom. Although I struggle with my sin, I would not want to turn from God for the sake of it, because he died on the cross for my sins so that I can spend eternity with him
The reason I struggle with my same-sex desire is because I was abused at a young age, and it shaped me. It took a lot of introspective work to realize that I'm not "naturally" gay, even if it feels like it sometimes. Assuredly, I would rather abstain from sex altogether than to continue in my unhealthy sexuality. And believe me, you can live without sex.

The part where the gay person or sympathetic Christian runs into questions is... most actions are sins because they harm the person or others, and walking away from sin pleases God because it either stops them from doing harm or improves their own life. But how does the gay person benefit from having to live a lonely and solitary existence, unable to seek romantic love or enjoy the love he/she has found? Some Christians have weighed that question and been completely unable to answer it, the result being the affirming church.
Is there a reason we can give for why people with gay desires have to give up on (earthly) love? Or do we just have to answer "because God said so"?

They're not. "committing homosexual acts" is better phrasing than "being gay" since the latter can imply attraction and not the action. That said, committing homosexual act is condemned by death by God's Law while being drunk is subject to no specific punishment. I, as many other Christians believe that being drunk by itself is not as sin as long as you don't sin because of being drunk, while being a "drunkard" (giving your life to alcohol) is a sin. The Bible has many negative but also positive verses on alcohol and that's why I think this position is the correct one.

The bible is an interpretive book. As shown by many, MANY scholars it doesn't need to interpreted as gay, nor does it forbid a homosexual from following Christ and going to heaven. Jesus not only sympathized with the human condition, he died FOR our sins so that they may be forgiven upon OUR death. I strongly encourage you to embrace people from all walks of life and have a bit of understanding. God would not create these people if he did not love them and make them in this way intentionally.

Leviticus 18 and 20 on the gay topic has the words in hebrew (ish for man and he is not to rape on the bed of a woman. It uses only the word Shakab for rape, and not shekobeth for consentual sex in both passages in leviticus. Also the Ish is not to have sex with a male(zakar),and this shows how the Ish is the man and the male zakar is the effeminate or submissive male. Deuteronomy 23:17 is linked to romans 1 on gay and hetero prostitution in ancient israel. This is what 1 corinthians 6:9 shows what the Arsenkoites was the man bedder who sought the softer Zakar(male)also 'Malakos'. this was about prostitution mainly but also had elements of slavery in ancient times. slavery was not all about labor alone back then. In roman and greek times, the free born men were to be the Ish role, and manly. They would consider slaves or the Cinaedus ,Catamites, and Eunuchs of pagan temples as this type of Malakos males that Paul mentioned in romans 1. Roman men were bisexual, and so a solely loving gay marriage was not prominent because society expected a man to be married to a woman but he could have a male slave on the side and be married to him too. As for lesbians, they would be expected to be married to a man,but there was no reason not to believe they couldnt go to the pagan goddess's temple and give offerings to the priestesses perhaps lesbian love making was not considered spoiling virginity of Venus's priestesses unlike men would. " a couple of spells in the Greek Magical Papyri-which attests to the existence of individual women in Roman-ruled provinces in the later Imperial period who fell in love with members of the same sex." lesbianism was real too and not mentioned in the old testament showing God really didnt have anything to say about it except patriarchal society of men always expected women to be married to a man but perhaps didnt consider them losing any virginity in a lesbian relationship.St paul's mention of it is based on his condemnation of same sex affairs based on his patriarchal views on woman as expected to be wives of men and not involved in pagan priestess work nor bisexual adultery or fornication. St. paul's mention of it is based on his condemnation of same sex affairs based on their breaking of the 10 commandments in the cases of pagan idol worship and adultery. Wherein he considered the type of homosexuality he spoke about was a result of idol worship in his case, thereby there never was a total gay counter culture in any ancient culture, only bisexual ,and thereby he was speaking of pagan rituals and adultery and fornication. Whereby he did admit in his belief that its only natural if men did not abandon the women, and same for women the men, because natural procreation of man and woman goes back to Adam and Eve. However,we should consider paul's over reaction in romans 1 because although he lived by a personal belief in heterosexuality as supreme as did all hebrew and roman male society's status quo,he was wrong in saying idolatry of statues and images was the sole cause of being gay. 'The cult of the Phrygian goddess Cybele and her consort Attis flourished in ancient Greece c. 300 BCE, and one of its defining characteristics was the galli (also given as gallae), the transgender clergy who identified as female.'This copied the cult of Inanna and her transgendered priests from the times of Leviticus. While leviticus concerned itself on not just the pagan aspect ,yet the prostitution in those times and exploitation back then and to maintain women's bed purity from any such use in bisexuality by husbands toward women from whether it was a pagan priestess to a wife.

Also I don’t know much about most parts of the Bible but from what I have seen of it a lot of these laws people have to follow are actually really nice laws that non religious people should probably follow. Also does the Bible say anything bad about trans people?

......................... and animals? There are a lot of animals homosexual.> You are wrong........... It's not a desire......i'ts a fundamental nature........... The most translations are incorrect. The official translation from Greek is: you are not allowed to have sexual contact with a young person at your side, such as a woman................... that is the exact translation. Good translation is difficult, I know.

First off, being gay is not a "perverse sexual act". You can be gay and not have sexual relations at all. Being gay is innate like you mentioned, so how can you relate it to an "act", which is something that you do, not something that you are.
Also the way you frame homosexuality is disgusting. It's not "abandoning natural relations with women..." How do you even know that men and women are the only thing that's natural? A gay person could say that straight men are "abandoning natural relations with women" and both statements are equally supported, which is not at all.
At the end of the day, this is just the way of Christianity. Holding scripture that is 2000 years old means inheriting all the beliefs of that time as well, which is and will continue to drift further and further from what is acceptable and just in our continually advancing society. This is why I am much more in support of those who are willing to take lessons from the bible without being dogmatically bound to it, like my father. My father, a science teacher, is somebody for whom I respect greatly for his ability to take meaningful lessons from the bible, while being able to discern which parts are better left in the past because they are outdated morally (eg "Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says."), or factually (eg evolution is in fact real).
If god does exist, I would hope that he would reward those who earnestly try to discover the truth of the universe that He created, and those who treat everyone with compassion and respect. Given that we are made in God's image, I would hope that He does not dislike us for something that we are inherently born with, like being LGBT+, autistic, disabled, etc.

Firstly, about your first paragraph, he was literally just quoting the Bible since, as he clearly stated at the start of the video, this video is all “according to the Bible”. Obviously, if you have a problem with that then okay but he is make it clear that this was a Bible based video.
Secondly, about the last sentence in your comment, God does not dislike anyone for being any of the things you mentioned (curious where you got the whole disability thing from though). The simple (biblical) fact is that all sinners deserve to go to hell because God is fair and he is also love and that is why Jesus died.

@@boredomatethecatYou only cover one point, which is his mistake with god hating sinners. Yes, he hates the sin not the person. But his point is that there’s things in our society that we find acceptable that we previously didn’t. Sinning is acting against the divine law yes. But the divine law is supposed to be a law that prohibits actions that harm individuals. Being gay does not harm anyone. It’s something that doesn’t harm other people, isn’t against any of the 7 deadly sins (baseline) and overall has no reason to not be allowed. There’s a point where it’s a gray line if being gay would really be considered bad. Because what the Bible says is only specific to man to man. So women being gay for each other seems to be fine, according to the Bible. Sexual orientation wasn’t a concept that was understood during biblical times.

    • @boredomatethecat
      @boredomatethecat 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@@VolonidPlus I understand what you mean but ultimately sin is an action that hurts God and according to the Bible homosexuality is a sin that hurts God, not necessarily other people. Do we know why it hurts God? No. Do we need to know why it hurts God? As a Christian, no. A belief about the Bible is that it is “God breathed” meaning God didn’t physically write the book but the people who did write it wrote it according to what God wanted (this isn’t necessarily a historically proven belief but it is a Christian belief) and this means that although society at the time might not have understood sexual orientation but God did (he knows everything). Also, the Bible does mention woman and woman (I’ll put the verse here when I find it). Also, what else is there to know about sexual orientation? According to what’s said in this video, the belief is that having homosexual desires isn’t a sin but acting on it is which takes into account the fact that sone people are “born gay”. Btw there are obviously things that we humans find acceptable today that we previously didn’t but that doesn’t mean God also changed his mind about them.

While Leviticus 20:13 does mention certain behaviors, it's important to consider the context and interpretations that have evolved over time. Many scholars and theologians emphasize the importance of understanding biblical verses within their historical and cultural contexts. Moreover, Jesus himself emphasized love, compassion, and inclusivity towards all individuals, which can be found in passages like Matthew 22:37-39, where he teaches to love one's neighbor as oneself, without conditions based on identity. This can be viewed as supportive of treating everyone with dignity and respect, regardless of sexual orientation.

Side note, Hell is only real if we choose to be apart from the eternal energy we call God.

It took 7 years before I realized I wasn't meant to be straight and so I turned bisexual, I changed a lot and became a person of happiness and support to a community I once hated. And I'm no longer afraid to wait for someone like me cause showing my true colors has helped me realize that the persons past or who they like doesn't matter what matters most is love and their support to you.
Ever since 2 weeks ago I have been so proud of my bisexuality and I haven't had so much support before. I was always into hating and no support at all my own religious straight community ignored me and I only got hate from those I hurted.
Now those religious people are willing to attack me but with support from Jesus and my community I am so happy.
That made me realize that being homosexual isn't a sin because its unknown on the Bible and other Bibles will say it's sinful but they are talking about something else. God and Jesus wants to see us happy and seeing this people forcing others to become straight so the person becomes atheist it hurts my soul man it hurts my heart that many of my community who used to love Jesus had to change and become atheist that's pure satanism.

      Here are my 2 cents:
      1. It is clearly unnatural. The reproductive system was built to work one way. Anything away from that brings on sexual diseases, pain, or other problems. That's kinda why it was a law to not engage in sodomy all the way up to 2003.
      2. It breaks apart the nuclear family even more, another design from God that instils order and roles for his creation.
      3. It is a relationship purely built around pleasure, which in many different cases God has instructed us not to set our lives on.
      4. It corrupts the minds of our youth and makes it even more difficult for them to leave it behind.
In Revelations it says in the end days four sins people would not turn from are murder, sorcery (or devil worshipping), theft and SEXUAL IMORALLITY.
which is exactly what we are seeing in this era: War, satanic imagery, organized theft within the central bank, and the rise of LGBT..
This is an attack on peoples souls, and they are winning.
...Ok so it was more like a quarter.

A Male and a Female were designed to be partners, a marriage is considered the union of a Man and a Woman. God designed humans in this way, a husband and a bride, you can pretty much see it with the construction of the physical body that a man and a man as well as a woman and a woman are not meant to be as they would bear no gift of life AKA a child in their “passionate loving” acts.

Now, "fighting" and making one feel "pitiful" not being acceptable ... it depends. Would you fight and make a r*pist feel pitiful ? I guess in Christianity that would be a sin if he repented, but you're an Atheist haha, you can't prove someone repented truly so that holds no value. It would be based on trust and faith ... which funnily enough is what religious people have to have, anyways.
I think most people say "it's not okay to fight and make one feel pitiful for stuff i believe it's right", but if it's stuff they believe it's wrong, they would 100% support it.
That's where the problem lies, if this type of action is solely based on where YOU believe it's right or wrong ... oh boy, that's very bad. I can remember some not so nice people throughout history with this attitude haha.
But at the same time, what if you have enough knowledge and you can protect people with "fighting and making one feel pitiful" ? So it's definitely tricky.
The religious perspective is very simple: God knows everything so follow him.
The non-religious perspective is very complicated: trust your gut, but also do your research, but also put yourself in the other person's shoes, but also in yours, but also think of all the probabilities, etc, etc. Most people cannot do this, whether it's laziness or lack of knowledge or willingness to be openminded (actually open minded, not 2024 "open minded to the ideas i think are right").
