In this tutorial, we'll show you how to bake materials in Blender into textures that can be exported into game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity. We'll walk you through creating textures for the base color, roughness, and normal inputs, and then demonstrate how to bake them into textures that preserve all the details and color information you want. With this technique, you can create your own custom game assets and export them to popular game engines for your projects.

I am not ready for this yet. But I can see a future use for this. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Hope it helps in the future!
or easier , you can use principled baker addon , its free :) it bakes all the maps in one click
I didn't know about that until now thank you!
@@goldenorbstudios yeah i was used to bake with default blender , it was a pain when i had to do it with 50 objects
You just saved my life
Thanks
any idea why my baked texture was dark and noisy result??
Make sure the indirect and direct lighting options are unticked in the bake settings and that only color is ticked. That can sometimes fix the issue. Another thing is make sure you are on the diffuse setting for baking. If its one roughness or something like that it may be black. Hopefully this helped, if this doesn't work make sure to go thru the video and check all the settings are all the same. Thank you for reaching out and hopefully the issue gets fixed!
What if I want to bake a Metallic texture?
It is not in the bake Type.
This video at (3:34) shows how to do it. Hope it helps 🙌

is doing this make texture permanent? Once 3d file is exported? Or auto reload texture again
You have to put the texture files in the same folder as the 3d model 👍
whatever happened to Toby Mcguire?
He lives on in legend
It's not working. Just a empty black texture
I would try the principle baker addon, I just learned about it. It's supposed to be much easier
@@goldenorbstudios I have principle baker addon, effective and simple but can just be a buggy process, although that might just be me
I've started using it recently, it's definitely much better than the old way. I'm probably going to make a tutorial on it soon, I think I've gotten the hang of it
@@goldenorbstudios thank you so much in advance, I'm 99% sure there's only 1 tutorial on youtube for it (crappy mic, 5+ years ago 😆)
Sorry for the wait, here is the Principle Baker Tutorial!
