Indeed a grenade went off at the exact same time the diff dropped, it was a crazy coincidence

How do you get it off the shaft when everything unbolted

I show it in the video, unbolt the driveshaft from the rear diff and then unbolt the carrier bearing. It will separate when you lower the rear diff
